Vermont May 2023 - St. Albans

May 25-29, 2023.
Stayed at an airbnb on Samson Road in Swanton, right on Lake Champlain.
First day: Arrival with a stop at the Bay Store for creemees. Walk along the lake, grilled and had dinner. Stopped at Mill River Brewing for a growler and lemonade for shandy.
Second day: Breakfast of eggs and coffee from The Traveled Cup in town. Went on a bike ride from Swanton on Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. Mom went to Poorhouse Pies in Underhill and got several pies. Ice cream at a farm in East Fairfield. Walks along the water then dinner was chicken pot pie from Poorhouse. More ice cream from The Bay Store. Watched sunset. Then watched Hunger Games.
Third day: Went into town to the farmer's market, bought bread, honey, jam and wine. Went into several stores in town, including the book store. Went back to house and had pie and bread for a late breakfast. Kayaking around the lake, with a visit to Woods Island State Park. Dinner at Twigg's in St. Albans. Played cards and watched the sunset.
Fourth Day: Pancakes for breakfast with coffee from Catalyst Coffee. Went walking at Missiquoi National Refuge, on two different trails (Mac's Bend and Black Creek). Take out from Mill River Brewing. Played cards and watched sunset.
Fifth day: Pack up and stop at St. Albans Bay Park. Drive home, with a stop for maple creemees at Harlow's Sugar House.
