Earlier in the show, the hound robbed the man and daughter, who gave them the stew, and told Arya dead men don’t need silver. So when Arya takes the hounds bag of money she didn’t even need to tell him, he already knew.
Yep.. and it's very different than the book.. in the books they never really built up a friendship. He never fought brenne.. he was drunk in the bar fight and got stabbed and cut several times. Which made him sick.. she did try and help with boiling water.. but basically took the horse and left. They never had deep and heart felt talks like the TV show.. half the things he said to arya in the series, he had actually said to sansa.. he was much closer to sansa in the books.
We had to wait a year or two between seasons...
What happened? Did i miss something? They haven't done GOT reaction in almost 2 weeks
@JenSell1626 they are my fave part of the HBO series.. so I totally get it.
Cersei told Tywin about Shay at the Purple Wedding and pointed her out. Tywin ordered her to have Shay sent to his tower after the wedding. The events that followed overshadowed it, but Shay’s fate was set at that moment.
Yep
Say what you will about Tywin. Tywin is one of the best written, clever and well executed characters in the entire series with one of the most interesting story lines. I'd say Tywin Lannister is a top 10 villain of all time.
He was always my fav character of the GOT show
He's a very clear "villain" in this story, but so well written, well motivated, subtly acted & charismatically performed that one can't help but like him. And yet his killing by Tyrion is incredibly gratifying because it's so richly deserved.
adding the scenes with him and Arya (which weren't in the book) helped humanize him a bit.
Three-Eyed Raven: I've been watching you, all of you, all of your lives
Asia: Find something else to do 😂😂😂
“All I’m sayin’ is they need a little window” AMEN Asia! 😂😂
It's cool that Brienne finally got to fight someone who takes her seriously
This episode originally aired on Father's Day too in 2014. I watched it with my dad who I didn't have the best relationship with when younger. After Tywin died I said to him "at least it never got that bad for us." Ha
Hopefully it's gotten better since then.
So much has happened in this show in 4 seasons, but at the same time it feels like we're just getting started!
Tywin actually had Shay sent to his room before Joffrey’s wedding. You hear him say it during the breakfast.
Y’all are so lucky you can watch season 5 right away - we waited a year lol😂
Exactly. They should have to wait at least a month to get a small taste of what we experienced. Lol
These reaction videos you find on youtube take a certain type of person to pull off. Someone charismatic, smart, funny, and relatable (being pleasant on the eyes doesnt hurt as well, lol). Asia and BJ possess these qualities and thats what makes it so enjoyable to take a few minutes out of the day to enjoy their videos and help them build their brand. Cant state enough how endearing these two are and the happiness they bring to the table. Wed all be so lucky as to have people in our real life such as them that we can call a friend.
You said it all friend
They don’t get divisive or talk about volatile subjects, they just get right into it and ONLY talk about the films and series which is great. Politics and all that is important but sometimes peolle just want to be entertained by friendly and nice people who say a lot of the things we think in our heads but out loud
@@jimbrewer5048 yes! Politics and the world problems don't need to be infused into every aspect of our lives. We can see how it's tearingvthis country apart. I know we have all heard the saying about the two things you don't talk about (religion and politics) but social media has blown a hole in that parable. I'm guilty of it as well I wont lie but I don't bring it into a situation where it's not needed or part of the convo. Let's all just put that aside and come together long enough to enjoy their content together cheering them on.
They are like friends you never had - to watch these shows with you. Come to think of it - yea, they are not hard on the eyes! LOL!!!
For realllll I love them so much. Their input is always so engaging and interesting and watching them feels like chilling with a couple of friends, I completely adore them
Tyrion's speech & escape are my favourite scenes & sequences in the series. He's my favourite character.
The fact that he's force to kill Shae is incredibly heartbreaking, the fact that he takes the opportunity to kill Tywin is incredibly gratifying. Shae could not forgive him for sending her away, Tywin could not forgive him for the death of his mother during his birth or simply for being a dwarf. Obviously, none of those things are his fault. His story to this point is profoundly tragic.
Such a Needless fight...
The Hound and Brienne fighting over who gets to protect Arya
Like Parents fighting over child custody.
Ummm, Brienne made a promise to her mother and Jaime.... The Hound wanted the bounty money to live, after deserting the Lannisters.
The same way my parents fought for custody
@@lynxlion It is certainly why he took her. But also by this point he knows there is zero financial gain to be had and could have just abandoned her somewhere. The only two iffy options are her Tully relatives who have been ousted from their position in the Riverlands and cant even get their own heir back from Captivity,. And Jon Snow who has no money and they'd have to cross Bolton country. Maybe Brienne could have taken them to Tarth to chill because they are super out of options lol.
I wish I could go back in time to watch Brienne fight the hound for the first time again 😂that whole scene was epic
And every Arya kill scene!
@ScottyDoesntKnow69 the Greatest Assassin in Westeros
@@csw3287oh please....D & D turned her into such a Mary Sue. What made her the greatest assassin? The few months of training with Syrio? The few months with the Faceless Men? Or when she spent a year with the Hound? She's not an assassin
Not really. It was a lie. Brienne only beat him because he was injured. The show makes it look like he was at full strength
That "Burn our house to the ground" line is my favorite Cersei moment of the show
Shay was back like she never left.
100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤣🤣😂
Hey Guys, It was Bronn who was tasked with getting Shay on a ship. He was the one who told Tyrion that he saw her get on. Maybe someone followed them and got her to get back off...idk but it wasn't Varys.
Remember the hound was already wounded bad going into the fight
Arya's scene at the end is probably my second favorite scene in the series. The soundtrack is just fire! Shout out to the composer Ramin Djawadi.
Valar Morghulis!
A couple of clarifications, because I know it's hard to keep track of everything on first watch (I couldn't keep everyone's names straight on my first watch of GoT, lol): the weirwood trees, the ones with faces, are essentially the Old Gods. The Starks follow the Old Gods (Cat followed the Seven Gods, and Eddard had a place made just for her to worship her Gods as she pleased, but they had a weirwood at Winterfell too). The whitewalkers are the blue eyed guys, and the zombies are the wights, basically they are made and controlled by the whitewalkers.
Asia is right. Varys had not intended to leave but once he hears the bells, he realises that Tywin has already been found dead and he would have to risk being seen returning to the Red Keep which would place him under suspicion so he goes with Tyrion.
I couldn't wait any longer and wanted to watch with you guys in full so I went ahead and got on your Patreon so I could do just that.. how disappointed I was to see some of the comments talking about how you guys "didn't pick up on this" or "pick up on that" or how they don't like your reactions.. I have watched this show fully through 4 times and seasons 1-6 even more.. I am STILL picking up on new things. I am so very appreciative of your reactions, your uploads and of how you two react. I hope you two never read those comments and feel bad about them because you two are perfectly awesome and anyone who can watch how great you two are and still want to tear you down are MISERABLE.
I hope you both see this.
These 2 are my favorite reactors. So genuine and funny and such a great understanding of everything going on. Keep it up!
Assist - Shay never left Kings Landing. Go back & watch Season 4 Episode 2. Right before Joffrey's wedding, there is a scene when Tyrion gave Joffrey some books as a wedding gift & Tywin gave him the other Valyrian Steel sword... Joffrey uses the new Sword to chop up Tyrion's books, out of spite... there is a moment around this time when Cersei tells Tywin who Shay is... and Tywin orders: "Have her (Shay) brought to my chambers." So that's (implied) when Tywin started sleeping with Shay.
Also Lady Tyrell told Tywin that day “you ought to try to enjoy something before you die…”
The Hound wasn't at 100% when he fought Brienne
..."Excuses are for losers!"......--Patrick Roy
'Joe Lewis was 137 years old when he fought....137 YEARS OLD!!'
'I don't know how old he was but he definitely got his ass whooped!'
@@jesse33cdn well it's just a fact
Glad you pointed put how far Arya has come, and going forward from now you will see why she is the best character in the show. I love her journey, stay tuned :)
She’s my absolute favorite character in the show; Since season one! Her arc is better than all the rest 🫶🏼
Nothing better than Asia reacting to a jump scare.
Good thing you have your blanket to protect you! 😂😂😂
The dragons need a window 😂
I absolutely love y’all’s reactions, makes me want to rewatch it again
She shot Jon full of arrows but she put them in non lethal spots. She never misses. She never wanted to kill him
When the show was originally airing the wait between seasons was interminable. But the payoff was worth it. The show became a world-wide hit. Season 5 is outstanding, season 6 is great. Then the show outpaced the published books and it never quite lives up to its promise.
Lmao this is the end of the books basically here. 5 and 6 are a lot of bad writing with good cinematography but still has cool moments.
@@Cream-2128 Season 5 is almost entirely from the books, except where they have already deviated from the published works. Season 6 - as an adaptation - continues the established storylines in a natural, realistic way. Season 7 is mostly given over to viewer payoff moments and begins to lose the internal logic of the story due to poor writing. Season 8 is what it is and outside of episode 3 nothing to talk about.
@@paulspillman9413the only thing in season 5 even close to similar is the wall. Everything in kings landing, the north, dorne, Daenerys all goes completely different. Season 6 is a complete mess where the storylines make no sense and they just make random stuff happens and characters all of a sudden become stupid. It has very entertaining moments though.
I love that "The Rains Of Castamere" plays when Tyrion kills his father (it was also played by the band at the Red Wedding). The old bastard finally got what was coming to him.
Hello to my favorite couple Asia and BJ. I am really loving you guys doing GOT. ❤❤
In the very beginning when you were reffering to the army coming in from both sides.. that is called.the PINCER MANUVER. The most classic assault in the history of warfare if you can oull it off. Thats why defenders usually have running sorties out.. to make sure they arent being side flanked.. because once that pincer starts to close.. you're done. Many time they will also have squads run up the middle.. to divide the defending soldiers.. this means both defensive sides will have attackers hitting their rear at the same time. Everyone from the Romans to the mongols used it to great effect.. and later.. the Americans used it against the brittish.. who stuck with their single line formations. Its one of the manuvers that helped us win the war.
Aria made it a long way by herself? Up until the boat she made it nowhere by herself… but just wait she’s 🔥…
I love reliving all the twists and turns in this journey with you-
Thanks, Asia and B. J. -
The man in the tree is the Three-Eyed Raven. The re-animated skeletons are known as wights: they're reanimated by the power of the White Walkers and the Night's King.
Brienne and the Hound fighting was absolutely brutal. I don't think she would have beat him if he hadn't been already weakened, wounded with a festering wound after Biter bit him. Arya wanted to cauterize the wound with fire but his fear got in the way.
It could be that Varys wasn't lying. Varys could have put Shae on a boat, which would have taken her to the ship. He could have seen her leaving on the boat.
Or the Lannister guards could have taken her off the ship right after she got on it.
Or, it could have started sailing away, and Varys could watched her ship sailing away. Then the Lannister guards could have stopped the ship and taken her off of it, even after it started sailing away.
The guards would have gotten their orders from Cersei to get Shae and bring her to Tywin's chambers, and the guards would have done whatever they needed to, to make that happen.
Shae had no power to stop Lannister guards from taking her, and no ship would have ignored orders to stop from Lannister guards.
In the end, she knew which way her bread was buttered, and went with it.
Actually getting Shay onto the boat wasn't Varys, yes earlier Varys in an episode he offered her jewels to leave for her safety but she refused. But it was the day of Jofferys wedding that that hand maiden who saw her leave Tryrions room after he told her she had to go and they had that fight, she then told Cercei who at Jofferys wedding pointed her out to Tywin and he said have her brought to his chambers, In the meantime Bron was the one taking her to a boat during the wedding, when Tryrion sees Bron again he tells her she's on the boat watched he get on board. Which I believe is true but once Jeffrey was killed Tywin yells seal off the ports, so I'd say the boat she was on was stopped by Lannister guards and she was taken off and brought to Tywin. So Varys has nothing to do with it and Bron probably did see her board but the $hit hit the fan after that, so neither Bron or Varys would have known where Shay was.
@@julesb1970 That's right! They sealed off the ports! And yes, Bron, not Varys!
How does Littlefinger's ship, with Sansa, figure into all this?
@@neryskkiran1820 I don't the Little fingers ship was an issue because it was already docked out of the port before any of the Joffrey stuff occured, little finger was already on the ship not at the Wedding and just waiting for Sansa, so he was smart and got things prepared before the $hit hit the fan.
"Where the red Fern grows". BJ with the quotables
This season is show stopper after show stopper. Season 5 is good to but 6 is gonna crush it. What was your guys' favorite part of the season? Pretty much everything in Tyrion's story is my jam here. The trial speech, Oberyn and the trial by combat its all so good. Thanks as always for reviewing ❤
Ohhhhhhhh man, the surprises don't stop coming...LOVE some Game of Thrones! I wish you guys would binge watch like a full season at once.
Arya is simply a badass. In a good way 😊
Tyrion: "I've always been your son" (🎶Lannister theme) ❤
White Walkers are the ones with blue eyes and are Craster's sons that he was "sacrificing." Wights (sounds like lights) are the risen dead.
Very upsetting the show got canceled after this season
Bro the next two seasons are awesome 😂
@@CharleysZenZone compared to the books bro it’s like watching a marvel movie. Plus the writing goes down the shitter for Tyrion, Dany, Jaime, Brienne, etc. the only characters who have something interesting going on is Jon and Cersei.
Thats not even mentioning what they do to Sansa’s story
Tywin and Tyrion’s story is even more interesting once you take into account Tywin’s history with the Mad King. It is possible and even probable that Tyrion wasn’t Tywin’s blood son, but since Tywin could never prove it, Tyrion lived to become an adult. That, of course, never cleared Tyrion’s name in Tywin’s eyes and was further compounded by being a dwarf besides, which to Tywin was a living testament to the shame the Mad King put upon his honor.
In regards to how Tywin found out about shae, I think it was during the red wedding that Cersei pointed it out to Tywin and he was like have her brought to my Chamber or something
GOT! Amazing and Crazy Twists and Turns. Off the charts saga of heroes, villains and everything in between. Tyrion rocks.
I binged Game of Thrones on DVD free from the public library and watched all the behind-the-scenes special features through season 6, as I recall - then I had to wait a year for season 7 and signed up for HBO to watch it - and another year for season 8 and HBO again!
The Manitcore is the little bug in a ball that the warlock people tried to kill Daenerys with. Oberyn's spear was coated with venom from one of those things.
One of the best episodes, several turning points in the series.
Stephen Dillane (Stannis) stated in an interview that he depended heavily on Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos) because he never really knew what was going on in the story. Which is lterally the most Stannis thing ever. 🥰 Also, his son Frank Dillane plays Nick on Fear the Walking Dead. Also, I would never tie my dragons down for anyone. Collateral damage, sorry 'bout it. The only decision she made that I hated.
5:01 I loved how the music here drifted in a few notes of Holst's 'Mars' 😍😍😍😍
Series 4 really is arguably the best Series, so so good!
Bron was Tyrion's bodyguard. BRAN is the crippled stark who just arrived at the Tree where the Three -Eyed Raven lives.
One of my favourites series ever hope you react to the house of the dragons afterwards
They've already finished it on patreon
I think they’ve already finished GoT and HotD on patreon. I’m tempted to sign up but then I won’t have any reactions to watch on RUclips for a long time 😂
This whole thing started b/c king Robert took a stark as hand of the king. Starks aren't politicians, they are warriors, they live by Winter is coming in mind.
“It’s worst than the UFC” 🤣 I ❤ Asia
The reason Brienne beat the Hound is because he got an infection from when he got jumped awhile back and that guy bit him in the ear. It states it in the book and i think Arya mentioned in the show how nuch slower he was moving
Not a plot spoiler but, a quick clarification of what those skeletons were 👇🏻 if you choose
Those were not White Walkers.
White Walkers are the weird, magical, blue eyed creatures.
The skeletons are known as "Wights"
Wights are reanimated/undead people, animals etc
Kinda like zombies.
Shae most likely was on a boat sailing away. But when Joffrey was killed, in Ep 3, Tywin ordered all ships in the harbor seized and returned.
That fight between Breinne & Sandor..
There was no where left to take Ayra. If they could have just worked together to protect her..
Even though Sandor low-key should have won that fight at the knife-pull.
Qyburn is even more of a Frankenstein in the books, then again everything is dialed up in the books ^^
Im sure that was Bronn who told Tyrion that she is gone, not Varys... thats why he had new clothes when he visited Tyrion in cell, he was paid by Cersei or Tywin
“I’ve been watching you your whole lives”
You can find something else to do lmaoooooo 😂🤣
By far the most satisfying season finally of all seasons.
Asia's Kind heart!
'They need a window!'
That was a great season finale. Sucked having to wait 9 months for season 5. You're lucky you don't have to suffer like we did back in the day.
If you guys recall Bronn says to jamie while Training that the Lannister shits gold because they're so rich , Also in books it says Tywin has so much money that he shits gold but in the End Tywin in fact didn't shit gold 😂
Clearly Arya likes the hound and him back he was saying that shit on ourpose to make it easier for her to kill him
Another great reaction! Love all the consistency with the content! I love knowing I can have a new video from you guys most days! Thanks again guys!❤
Season five is a great ride! It's going to be fun watching you react to it.
Yes, cercei told about shae to tywin and joffreys wedding.. and tywin said to cercei, send her to the hands chambers.
"It's worse than the UFC." Asia 🤣
The best seasons are still ahead! So fun watching this with you guys.
Yeah, varys didnt know she didnt leave. He sent her away, but tywins people got to her.
And besides it was Bronn who was assigned for putting Shae on the ship, and we saw at the wedding that he told Tyrion that she did get on. So either Bronn lied, or Tywin or Cersei got her off the ship after Bronn left but before the ship sailed away.
i'm such a fan of GoT. and of the channel.
thanks again
Varrus begged her to go he even gave her money to start a new life but she threw that money back at him..Tearean told Shay he didn't want her there..som1 told Tywin at the wedding who she was..Shay refused to go after Tearean told her no even after Varrus dropped her off..she left the boat and appeared in court
I binged watch every season, when the series was over with, I didn't have to wait for anything... best thing ever, I do it with a lot of show😁
the cavalry horse attack is so awesome.
I was right where you are Asia, after Red Wedding I wanted to quit. But, keeping watching. So many more great moments to come.
I think Arya is going to Bravos and Tyrion to Pentos.
Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) Welcome Baby Girl
The couple has been married since 2018 and had a son in 2021.
Yeah varys was like forget that. Just not worth the risk, especially being master of whispers. Verys knows what you eat for breakfast 4 times a week. He probably would have been tortured. Tyrion killing Tywin was not part of the deal.
This was a great point GoT... It truly felt like the tone of the entire series changed after Tywin fell. Felt like a whole new series that I enjoyed still
I remember when this episode aired on HBO with Tyrion killing is dad, it was Father's Day
Thank you Asia and BJ. You two are so easy to dance with. Asia is as predictable as the rising of the Sun while BJ is like a bottle full of green fire.
Knock Knock. Just you wait until you see what is to come here in the next few episodes :)
Love you two
You see the irony in Dany being the "breaker of chains" when she chains up her own "children"?
Such a great show! Great writing. Love the reactions.
Season 4 and Season 6 finales are off the hook. Season 5 finale is too lol
LOVE them reacting to everything!! Just wish they wouldn’t soften the video for GOT reactions 😊
The wait was horrific!! You have no idea! And you guys are lucky though it was one episode per week, not bindging the whole show like today 🙄
Remember that The Hound was wounded and not fighting at full strength.
7:47 I love this scene with Cersei.
That's King Leonidas' Queen...lol
"He grabbed him like a bowling ball", and wanting the window were two highlights from this post's commentary. Love watching with you guys!!.
lmfao all they need is a little window, thanks for the laugh😂😂😂😂
Back to the wedding of Joffrey and Margery, Tywin and Cersei was talking abt Shae (Tywin said bring her to the tower of the hand) before Tyrion told her to leave. But Cersei found out bc of the girl that saw Shae leave Tyrions room when they had an argument before he told her to leave.
It’s crazy that Tyrion killed both his parents (his mother in childbirth and his father after being betrayed by him)
Hey yall I love your content. My wife and I enjoy your GOT vidz. Season 5 coming soon?
22:04 I think Tyrion hesitated of various reasons, maybe it was a trap? If the wrong people were waiting for him,it would give them a reason to execute him early? But i think his heart hesitated the most, because he wanted to take Shae with him. On the other hand, maybe he didnt expect to even find her,he was going straight for his fathers bed,so he defintly wanted to settle some scores before he left.
25:24 That look on Lord Varys`s face, says more then a thousand words. If he tries to go back up to Kings Landing from the docks, they will put 2 and 2 together, and have him executed. Lord Varys has nowhere else to go now,so he joins Tyrion on his journey now.
Arya Stark started out looking so fragile,an easy target. But she has been a survivor, knew when to pick her moments along the way,and when to stay hidden. She also "picked the right company". I was shocked in regards to Shae, how she pulled a knife on Tyrion, even when Tyrion gave her that look like "why are you here? and why are you pulling a knife on me?". Shae seemed to have forgotten about her feelings for Tyrion,if there were ever real feelings. Im sure Tyrion would have taken her with him, even after finding her in Tywins bed wich shocked him,if she just chosed to not fight him. That had me think that Shae was a player, she went by survival mode. Whatever and whoever she could cling onto, she would for her own personal wellbeing.
And in a way its understandable,Tywin disrespected her while sitting in the crapper having a crossbow aimed at him,so in other words he probably would have gotten wrid of her the moment Shae bored him. Shae just lived on survival mode,as Tyrion had basically cut all ties with her,in a pretty bad way so that she would understand that she needed to go.
And i agree about "the battle of the giants". I always pictured The Hound to be facing The Mountain in an epic fight,at a very late point. As those 2 were the only ones that seemed to be able to take eachother out. And The Hound couldnt stand the Lannisters anymore, while The Mountain is theyr puppeteer, everything they order him to do,he does. There is no emotions there,at least with The Hound you had plenty of emotions.
And Brienne,in many ways she wanted the same thing as The Hound, they wanted to protect Arya and reunite her with her remaining family members. I feel like those 2 should have agreed over disagreements and worked together in protecting Arya.
Okay,The Hound didnt play by noble knight etiquette and all that, but despite some "morale differences",i think Brienne and The Hound would have gotten along for a common goal. I just feel like it was too early to see The Hound go down like that.
Then again,Brienne got to show her true powers, where she even won in a straight up slugfest with The Hound.
BUT,i did see how the giants fight ended good for Arya, who now sort of could decide for herself what to do and where to go next.
But a really good ending to the season as i remember it! And it was true PAIN waiting for each season to start, you felt like an addict of sorts just needing the next season to start right away!
I don't think that Shae was merely using Tyrion, I think her feelings for him were genuine. She simply couldn't forgive him for sending her away, & became vengeful as a result.
