  • All modern ATVs use CV shafts in one form or another, this Yamaha 660 Grizzly has a total of ten! They are easily torn, and if left un checked will ruin the CV joint. They are not hard to replace, as you will see.

    Mr. D-Ray....I found your instructional very informative and easy to follow along. Thanks for such a positive attitude and enthusiasm that makes you listen even if you don't have a project. Enjoyed sharing with my 17yo son without tensing waiting on the next group of curse words to being blurted out. Great work! 5 ☆minimum, more like 10!!

    Like the fact that you started working on a clean ATV with no mud or dirt on the axel as it makes it so much clear for us amateurs to observe and learn. One Q...what did you use to remove and clean old grease?

    How do I get the cv axle out of the rear plunging joint on a 2003 Polaris Sportsman 700 Twin? There's no retaining ring, and it doesn't seem to rock far enough to release the balls.

    Awesome Video D-ray. I have a torn boot and the cv started clicking. How easily are the CVs ruined? is it something you can clean, regrease and reboot and be ok or is the cv ruined pretty quickly if its not taken care of immediately? Great Video by the way. You do a great job explaining all the little things to look for when doing this job. Thanks

  • @Sparkynutz81

    Didn't look like you got clamps very tight. Know wonder they spin if grease gets on them

    • @armedfarm3429
      @armedfarm3429 Год назад

      Thats right. I noticed it also, need to throw them into the garbage for one thing & get the notch clamps.
      I would & have used 75lb zip-ties many times, much better than these pull through & fold overs. He at least should have pulled them tight with a vice-grip then fold.
