@@ArtSomething That's exactly why I do all my tattoos on my thighs. I still have a tan line I can see on my feet from going river tubing this summer. It was the first time in 20ish years that flesh saw the sun, and boy-oh-boy it was traumatic!!!
Voltage and hand speed can cause blow outs as well, not as simple as just depth. High voltage with slow hand speed physically pumps to much ink in an area and can cause puffy lines and blow outs, just like how low voltage and fast hand speed can cause a tattoo to disappear when healed.

In my experience blowouts don't always show up immediately either, which I didn't see mentioned in the video. Chances are the last 3 or 4 lines should end up with a ton more color around them a day or to into healing, I would be interested in seeing a follow up video with how they look in the next week or so. I love your videos thank you!
The fact that you do this for people learning. Dude thank you so much! I have “friends” that tattoo and I always get the round around it’s like no one wants to teach the basics of their trade. Everyone ends up having has their own style regardless. So I’ve been learning everything from you appreciate it teach 💯
Man, I really admire that you are willing to do that in your own skin just to teach us. So much RESPECT. Thank you so much, you earned a new subscriber.
Your videos seem to come for me at just the right time. I'm getting some various thickness in my line work on my leg and thought "damn how am I getting a blowout" but nothing looks even close to these. I think I'm just struggling with inconsistent depth but nothing that is actually causing blowouts whew quite a relief
Happy to hear the video came out at the right time for you. One of the hardest things to do and I still struggle with it, is getting and keeping smooth consistent lines. I find the more I line the better it gets but i still get thrown off sometimes depending upon the clients skin. So keep working at it as it will come in time.
SO much love. I thought that the images were plenty enough, but seeing it happen (bless your self-sacrificing soul!!!!) in real time, is super helpful. You are going to be one masterful piece of art by the time you're finished teaching. Again, I am beyond grateful 🙏 I love the passion you bring to the art.

Hey man just an idea but you should do a video series of your subscribers sending in pictures of their own tattoos that they have done and you can and tell us what we could do different or what we could do to improve the tattoos! Great video!
You know what many people have asked for something like that but I was finishing up my fake skin series. But with that about done I think I may look into this as another series. Thanks Powerstroke. And keep ROcking my friend!! 🤘🤘
My message is not related to the theme but I wanted to thank you for your videos and work and say how much it means to me. I feel I am learning a lot. Before the lockdowns started I was looking to see if anyone from the business would take me in. I think I have the art skill, but I am missing the tattoo skill. And I got a lot of "I'm sorry we don't take apprentices" For someone who wants to learn how to tattoo I felt really hopeless. But found your videos, got myself a coil machine and some tools and here I am. Practicing on fake skin. Praying that I get this right :))) So thank you. They are really helpful.☺️
I’m in the same situation! Except I had a teacher but he vanished on me after 5 months. I was learning how to draw. I didn’t want to lose hope so I bought a tattoo kit and all the stuff I need for a beginner and I’m practicing on fake skin. I did my first stencil of Spider-Man. The trace looked good but the stencil not so much lol. Don’t know if I used too much stencil stuff or pressed down too hard on the stencil but it was kinda off. I think my first tattoo came out bad but we gotta start somewhere! The needles are confusing to me. I have to learn more about them as well. Good luck in the future!!
Thank you. And like you said. We have to start from somewhere and we have the time to practice too. Being in lockdown and furlough gave me lots of free time. Which I am grateful for😊.
what i find sad that are people on Facebook groups which are triyng to discredit you , mby you're not the best tattoo artist but definitely you know how to explain , with your videos i started to get in this world of tattooing, already did 2 tattoos on my friend and it went pretty nice. thank you for your videos !

Dude, you are awesome. Best thing what i like in your channel, is that you show how to do it and how it looks in real life. You don't show pictures or tell only stories, but you realy show and tell what is what and how it looks. I realy like your channel!
I have perfect examples of blowouts & scarring on the first couple tattoos I did on myself. The scarring is bad too- bumped out throughout a whole tattoo.. I used a 1rl standard needle on a rotary machine. I had no clue what I was doing. This was right before Art-Something made his RUclips debut!
Oh DAMN man sorry to hear about that graffics. But hey I guess sometimes thats how we learn and im happy to hear it was on yourself at least. I hope all is going good for you brother. I know your working hard and its paying off!! SO keep pushing. And thank you again for all the support you Rock brother!! 🤘🤘🤘
Greetings to you from Lebanon, you are really a wonderful man, my friend. You continue to do a good job, and we appreciate your sacrifice of your body for us.
I just gotta tell you how much I appreciate you and your videos. I’m learning to tattoo on fake skin before I attempt to tattoo myself and I have learned SO SO MUCH from your videos. Thank you for your patience, dedication, and your amazing videos. I drink them up like water every time there’s a new one! Have you ever thought about releasing a book? Maybe one for beginners? I’d be the first in line to buy one if it covered technique, sanitation, equipment, etc. I’ve read a few books but I feel like they don’t spend enough time on technique aimed at beginners. Anyway, now I’m rambling! Thanks again brother, please keep this up!
You're currently teaching a tattoo artist in the making bro!!! Thank you so much 🙌 I'm gonna leave a lil leg space just to carry on what you did for me and hopefully teach someone someday lol.
Wow I cannot believe you did that to yourself to help educate us! Massive kudos to you, thank you for all the hard work and dedication. My work has improved massively thanks to your videos!! 🙌
My man. I've said it before and I'll say it again, your the most unselfish and probably one of the most likeable human beings anywhere 👍. Could you either cover how thin the skin is on the wrist and back of hand? I'm ready to do the back of my hand but I have no body fat, seems a third of the depth you just did would blow out on back of hand
Thank you friend, well i am self though artist for over 3 years now ...had maybe 2 -5 blowouts but small ones that almost dissapeared over time in over 300 tattoos in first 3 years..but i was watching guys like you are that helped me to understand, now they call me gentle tattooer :D hahaha i really like to go gentle and just enough to leave ink into the skin...thank you maestre for good video regards from Serbia!
NO problem Zachary, THanks for watching. And The legs seem to require a little more effort to blow the lines out but when it comes to other parts of the body it can happen quick so be carful when/if you tattoo other areas in the future.
You a real one tattooing your leg to teach us mane, I got done my first tattoo in my leg last night and everyone says it’s great. I’ll keep watching ya vids as I progress keep it up brother 💪🏽
This one just comes up when I'm twisting my head as hard as I can around just this! Respect man! 🙏 I really cringed when you did the last 3 lines 🙈 I seem to struggle a little with this, and I know it - I basically hate lines, love shading tho. I can say I have seen max 10 blowouts on my work when I have been doing them(mostly dots, from where they move, my muscle jumps over a longer line etc). But lately I have gotten soooo much hate because "I only blowout everything" yet, I didn't notice ANYTHING on those complaining about it. I know my hand - machine speed it right, I adjust my hand speed according to place and skin(usually 9v on Q2). This really helped me understand more how this can happen 🙏
Dude, hilarious man. I enjoyed this video immensely. Hist my 5-cents, I also had an experience where the client actually hit a corner of a table a day after her tattoo session and you can see the impact and the way the lines of the furniture turned out. It was crazy, but I learned that it's still sitting on the skin and any impact can make a blowout as well; and of course that artist as well. Great stuff man.
SO thankful for these informative videos, I been tattooing on and off since I was 18, now 30 and wanting to go professional. it's always great to have someone willing to help with information as we are always learning and open to learning more. Blow outs have been a slight issue over my years of tattooing not always but have had them and want to avoid them by new techniques and insight. thanks for being here for us man.
I'm speechless when I see this your video sir😞 heartly I respect your explanation and humbleness sir🤗co's you're damaging own skin for explaining for beginners. Hat's of to you sir. keep hard working&keep rocking.🙋🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️ mainly thanks for explaining.😍
Man I know that hurt! I've blown out a few lines on my thigh practicing. Thanks for the new video, I'm always able to take something away from each one. Keep up the great work 🤘
Thank you Joebro!! Really glad the channel has been able to help you out for a Year now! Thats awesome and thank you sooo much for your continued support it really does mean a lot!! 🤘🤘
Yeah agreed the top of the leg is not the best place for a blowout... Or at least not the best place to try and show a blowout. But its the only area on my body that I dont mind messing up, so i just kept with the top of the leg. Thanks for the support Anders and Keep Rocking my friend! 🤘🤘
Thank my friend I really do appreciate the support!! And at least I only had to do it once now its out there for many to hopefully learn from. Thanks again and keep rocking!! 🤘🤘

I know your working hard and its paying off!! SO keep pushing. And thank you again for all the support you Rock brother!! 🤘🤘🤘
The fact that you sacrificed your own thigh to teach us amateurs how to get better at tattooing has earned you a subscribe, my friend!
Greetings to you from Lebanon, you are really a wonderful man, my friend. You continue to do a good job, and we appreciate your sacrifice of your body for us.
Ok i understand what you mean when we go deeper to the skin the ink will blowout.. Thank you sooooo much artist ❤️
I been doing tatts for over 20 years and had never seen this before
You’ve been tattooing for 20 years and never seen a blowout?
Got mad respect for you for putting yourself through that. Glad to be learning from someone who’s willing to do something like this.
I really learned more about blow outs from this video compared to the other videos I have seen out there.
Hey brother... You always share pure knowledge... please guide me how to realise the dermic layer, hypodermic layer while working on real skin ????
This guy is my favorite person in the world
Respect. Thank you so much. I can’t use so much English but well, i really apreciate what you did for us.
You're currently teaching a tattoo artist in the making bro!!! Thank you so much 🙌 I'm gonna leave a lil leg space just to carry on what you did for me and hopefully teach someone someday lol.
You tattoing yet boyy
@@andrescabrera8058 gave up, it was too hard 😩😂 maybe it’s best I stick with drawing
Great explanation.I did the top of my forearm, went crisp, bottom of my forearm not much of a sweet spot.
Best tattoo channel on YT!!! Much love my friend! You the man
WOW thank you SO much my friend really do appreciate the kind words and support!!🙏🤘
Thank you!
Your sacrifice won't go to waste! We learned!
✨✨✨
Wow I cannot believe you did that to yourself to help educate us! Massive kudos to you, thank you for all the hard work and dedication. My work has improved massively thanks to your videos!! 🙌
My man. I've said it before and I'll say it again, your the most unselfish and probably one of the most likeable human beings anywhere 👍. Could you either cover how thin the skin is on the wrist and back of hand? I'm ready to do the back of my hand but I have no body fat, seems a third of the depth you just did would blow out on back of hand
Bro 😐 that was excruciating to watch. I could feel it. Keep up the good work. Keep giving everyone advice on how to improve. Much respect!
You could see the ink flow out on that last line last 2 lines were suspenseful lol I was hurting with you man respect bro
Dudes a badass, and a great educater. Appreciate the knowledge.
Thanks for making this video! I had no real idea what blowouts were, and now I feel like a freakin expert. You’re a badass
I now know this spot i did on my leg got blown out a little. Thanks man!
I admire you to go all this way to show this! I am an apprentice and it was super helpful! Thank you very very much!
Epic video you rock bro, thank you for your sacrifice in the name of science
This one just comes up when I'm twisting my head as hard as I can around just this! Respect man! 🙏 I really cringed when you did the last 3 lines 🙈
I seem to struggle a little with this, and I know it - I basically hate lines, love shading tho.
Love this channel so much! Literally started learning tattooing this week and these vids are helping me SO much! 😁 Keep it up dude!!
Thats Awesome to hear KH and I appreciate the support! Keep working hard and Keep ROcking you got this!🤘🤘
SO thankful for these informative videos, I been tattooing on and off since I was 18, now 30 and wanting to go professional. it's always great to have someone willing to help with information as we are always learning and open to learning more.
Keep up the great work 🤘
ohh i felt this video. i love the content of your videos bin fallowing you for a year now its really helpful thank you
Thank you Joebro!! Really glad the channel has been able to help you out for a Year now! Thats awesome and thank you sooo much for your continued support it really does mean a lot!! 🤘🤘
wrong placement for blowouts i quess Ur a legend THx so much for all ur pain.
Yeah agreed the top of the leg is not the best place for a blowout... Or at least not the best place to try and show a blowout. But its the only area on my body that I dont mind messing up, so i just kept with the top of the leg. Thanks for the support Anders and Keep Rocking my friend! 🤘🤘
@@ArtSomething can u do a video on how to match hand speed with voltage and how to get a grib at that?Would really help me out just for shading
Battle scars 💪💯 hard dedication u definitely a soldier . Appreciate the info and sacrifice . Great video boss 🙌 respect.
Your channel has come such a long way! Please never stop making videos !
I kept thinking about all those ppl that have huge blowouts and how much pain they sat thru unknowing and thinking they were being weak.
I’ve been watching so many of your videos recently, I’m wanting to become a tattoo artist and all your videos are so helpful
Not only would I give you the like because you do a great job at teaching, but also because of what you put yourself through to teach us lol.
Thank my friend I really do appreciate the support!! And at least I only had to do it once now its out there for many to hopefully learn from. Thanks again and keep rocking!! 🤘🤘
