      My daughter decided today she wants to get a machine and start learning, I have a lot of work done and in the past did some tattoos on individuals for commissary bc fk it why not. I have a good friend that does all my work at his shop that I used to spend a lot of time at helping him out and just fkn around watching him work all night so I have some knowledge from him.
      Your comment is exactly why I'm worried about getting her interested/started early on a career path she can be excited about everyday and has passion in doing that can support her financially. She's very artistic and loves to draw, constantly improving and teaching herself. Like her dad she has my off the wall random free spiritedness and little weirdness(cool weird) to her. Loves being solo doing her own thing and doesn't want a lot of friends, and super ridiculously intelligent but unfortunately a blonde through and through lacking common damn sense (we're working on that). Can't decide what to buy to get her started that isn't expensive high end but is a good machine for her to learn with.
      Also, I'm worried about the whole tattoo artist community and their thing with apprenticeship and shunning new aspiring career artists having already learned and owning rigs as well as having already put out work previously before finishing apprenticeship and being bought their first machine by their journeyman. But I'll be mother fked if that is going to hold back her potential and possible career should she decide to get into doing it seriously later on when she turns 18. She's 12 by the way.

    • @xValeTatt
      @xValeTatt 2 года назад +1

      @@Sevatar_VIIIth I say if you want her good, buy it. Buy the cheapest rotary first and if you see that she's getting into it , get her some better equipment. If she starts practicing that young, in 10 years she will be a very , very successful artist and will do what she loves for enormous amounts of money. You will basically build her perfect life if you support her trough her struggle with that. I wish the best to your family !

    Hi! I’m trying to learn tattoo on my own and I noticed that when you tattoo on ppl, you have to use ointment as you go along(to moisturize the skin i think?). But what are the purpose of green soap+distilled water for? Is it just for to clean ink while tattooing? And also you mentioned that you have another squeeze bottle for just water itself. Is it distilled water or just regular water, and what’s the purpose of the water? So there are three things to spray/rub during the tattoo session? Ointment, water, green soap+water? Sorry for so many questions but i get so confused😭 thank you!!

I always recomend starting with a pen and battery for ease of use too but I always say cheyenne cartridges are best 👌 also with the eternal ink you wanna get some "keep it wet". Hey brother I have followed you for a year and a half I'd say maybe more. I support this channel as well as your Facebook. I always thought you were a stand up dude! In saying that I mean you seem very honest. I respect that! So my question for this video is about the cartridges I really need an honest opinion on those Solong carts. I struggle with finding cartridges at a reasonable price that I like or that are made well. I really like DaVinci magnums but they're kind of pricey. As far as cartridges like these I've tried Rhien carts and Stigma carts. The stigma carts were total junk the Rhien carts weren't bad but they're not DaVinci quality or Kwadron quality. Which I don't expect them to be. Like I say it's hard to find quality at a reasonable price after my experience with stigma. So if you could just give me your honest opinion on the cartridges from this video and if you could compare them to another brand cartridge would be so awesome. As always much respect brother keep rocking! Oh by the way as I mentioned that support your Facebook as well your artwork just keeps getting better and better totally awesome! Seeing some of those pictures now I wonder if you were using those Solong carts?!

    I love your videos they have helped me dramatically with my tattoo journey but unfortunately I have to disagree about the wireless and the machine for noobs because with so many options out there and so many things that you need to focus on at any given moment it can be overwhelming when an artist first starts out and sometimes artist are on an extreme budget but the reason i would recommend a coil over let's say a cheap Chinese rotary is sometimes the machine does not retract the needle all the way back into the cartridge but coils do no matter what unless you have the machine set wrong of course so coils are safer and being bound by a cord subconsciously always forces the artist to be aware of the machine in theory it cuts way down the likelihood of an accidental needle poke plus it also is never a bad idea in my opinion to know the history of tattooing and have the ability to fix or change a machine that will last literally forever with very little maintenance but again this is just my opinion now as for ink each artist is different so I would recommend trying different inks out because what might work for one artist may not work for another because ink flows at different rates so the ink just like hand speed and voltage depends on the artist but that is why I always recommend instead of buying an ink kit buy individual smaller bottles when you first start out so you can see what works best for you now as for literally everything else I agree with spot on!

    I have a question! for the CNC Q2 pen what type of wireless battery are you using ? the RCA or the DC...? im looking to buy one

    • @ArtSomething
      @ArtSomething  3 года назад

      I use the RCA connections. When you buy the machine make sure to RCA and then when you buy the battery make sure its RCA as well.

    Have you used big wasp needles? If so would you recommend them?

    • @ArtSomething

      I used them a while back and I remember them being pretty decent. I will have to order another few boxes of them and have a go with them again.

      @@ArtSomething thank you I was wondering cause they’re the brand I use and they’re decently priced but I don’t hear much about them

    It took a while but I'm happy with my set up for now, it's not all expensive but it's got me through a a few tattoos...the one issue I have the Q2 is when loading the cartridge, it isn't always smooth going...I had a near poke miss because of it...as long as you're wary of that...it's all good. Love this video, very thorough!

      I agree with you on the needle thing and I seem to have the same issue with the Wand shader. ITs not crazy or anything just have to take an extra second or two to make sure everything is good. Thanks Wolfgang really appreciate the support my friend and Keep ROcking!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘

      @@ArtSomething that's interesting to know you have the similar issue with the wand shader...can you help me on this specific issue...backgrounds - I want to try and achieve that airbrushed effect behind a rose for instance...I use a 27cm bugpin with a light wash but it always comes out blotchy and uneven, the distance of the greywash fade is uneven around the central piece, how do I solve this? If you can do a video on it would appreciate it!

    May I ask your opinion. What do you think about the Cheyenne Sol Nova and the Cheyenne P4 power source? Do I need another machine, or will the Sol Nova be enough? I hear some machines are better for lining and such, and people seem divided about whether my Sol Nova can do everything, or just a shader.
