I want a hue slider for hair and buy mode for objects!
They've said they're not doing sliders or color wheels. Look how long it took them to do this update.

It starts to look rude and greedy to keep demanding after awhile. Let's be thankful for this before asking about more. :)
@@TheEdiya the thing is they aren't listening, they have polls where you can vote so we can actually get what we want- they did that for the last game pack and the star wars pack was wayyyyy low on dem polls...so in conclusion they don't listen and it seems like they rush things based off of how many problems are in all of the packs and the base game. Also there are so many things that should be in the base game, or that are just overpriced (but everything is overpriced with EA). So yeah...seems like they're the greedy ones. I would put a happy face here but it seems passive aggressive lol.
@@kristinashelton8833 Didn't mean to sound passive aggressive, I've always interpreted smiles as trying to soften words, my apologies if I sounded that way. I completely agree with you, and I constantly am making very similar comments to what you are saying now. The game needs some serious help, and it's just plain wrong that we are forced to update the game if we go online, especially when this year started introducing bugs that made the game unplayable. There's a lot that needs fixing. There's a lot that needs to be done. It's a shame to the company that it took political unrest and fear of a wider boycott to get skintones in. I will continue to keep stating that we need fixes, better gameplay, and to stop being nickled and dimed for recolors and reanimations of the same thing. That said, this particular update looks good. Really good. I won't be updating my game because bugs (from previous updated I've refused), but I do think that there are a lot of positive with this update, and "rewarding" the update by beginning a cry for sliders on everything (which would be amazing) is the wrong response. "Good job. Took you guys too long, but this is the right step. Would love a list of what you're prioritizing to keep the game playable and interesting." is a fairer response while still being honest. It's far better " want..." wih zero acknowledgement of what was done. I agree it's too little too late, but would rather see a respectful exchange than EA's typical...responses...or community responses that err too much on the positive or negative.
I think they've done a decent job. I think we could do with a similar thing for hair, though, because the black looked quite greyish and washed out on the sim you were playing with.
They SHOULD definitely do a wheel for hair so we can have more colors and to change the ones we already have
Dislike, because I'm having issues with my XBox One version after update. I can't even pause the damn game so I can save it. Sorry, Rachille. While the skin tone updates were very much needed, the glitches are extremely awful, hindering everyone's experience. Including mine. Maybe EA should've put the patch back in the oven to get it to perfection, like a nice Christmas ham. Update: Had to do a hard restart to my XB1. I'll remove the dislike, and bring it back to neutral.
I was just specifically talking about the skin tones themselves, lol. Sims updates always create more problems than they fix.
Yes! There are so much more colors between the blonde and brown there's in the game! Like drastically different
And mosrlt of the colors that do exist look pretty weird...
Honestly I think the update they did on skintones is more needed on the hair colors

Honestly they shouldn't even come out with updates until they have everything together. There's so much from sims 2 and 3 that they need to add in. I miss getting to design outfits within CAS.

@Zachary Melendez Dude chill its a game, like jesus fuck they where just saying you can have cc for sims no one asked you to buy sims 4 on console you should of known like every sims games the best part is mods and cc I heavily mod every sims game even 2 cause ever sim game needs mods and cc so chill you bought console so don't yell at people who suggest mods.
EA please hire the cc creators like Kawaiistacie, Thisisthem and xmiramira. They put these developers to shame.
those arent even the good ones.....they just change moods with moodlets they don't even create animations and such like the other awesome creaters

Its kinda ridiculous that the makeup sliders took this long to get added. The base game make up has been pretty much unusable up until now. Like all I would’ve needed was an opacity slider but I’m super excited for these additional sliders as well. The amount of customization and creativity that can now be added>>>
Fingers crossed that they didn't just add bugs they were fixing into the games of people who didn't experience those bugs, I've had so many bugs I didn't have before get patched into my game when they were listed in the patch notes.

I like what they where trying to do with the game but it is way to much like a PC game on a console. I play sims pets all the time if they kept it like sims pets but with the new stuff would be bomb af IMO

Xbox one is crashing for me too.
Mine if fine I am on pc and I never crash it runs very nicely for me.

Ouff! This really IS a huge update! I hope my 7 year old laptop can handle it without completely crashing. xD I will try to update my game tomorrow, since then is when I get proper internet (I recently moved).
I am opposed to the main menu change. It seems like the Sims is trying to make a bunch of ads to be the first thing you see. I liked how the last main menu didn’t bombard my eyes with bright colors because it was the dark blue. I liked how I could see all the packs I owned immediately. I don’t understand why the Sims felt the need to change the menu to be a bit patchy looking (like a quilt with different patterns) over the more uniform looking (and perhaps a bit cluttered) blue menu.
For me, I could care less about the menu screen. It's the glitches that cause a series of hindering turd hurdles for the gamers like myself. I could do without cars, but I cannot have game breaking glitches. I'm not gonna click the like or dislike because I'm a bit neutral on the new menu screen.
Tbh..its a main menu how long are you on it?? 2 seconds? load into the menu then click play, does it really matter what it looks like??
Okay, I get both of your points, but most of my reasoning is because the new menu is brighter than the old one and it has multiple pages
They should add sliders for hair and eyes because sometimes I try to make people I know in real life but the hair color and eye color never looks like their actual hair color and eye color and it frustrates me.
ikr, i asked for that, the only good one are the brown ones when it comes to eye colours
and dark blonde looks like yellow then it is blonde, and i miss a couple of hair colours, even the unnatural ones
I will play the sims again when they add story progression.

mods are NOT working AT ALL. I have emptied out my mods folder and put in 1 simple mod one at a time and the mods re-enabled button still unticks itself by DEFAULT!
@@trapxanz6327 ok i found a solution. Move the sims 4 folder from your documents to a safe location and delete that folder in the documents folder, then move your mods back to the newly created sims 4 folder found in documents, then your saves one by one. i think what is causing this is the gallery because i cannot access the gallery and your saved stuff on the gallery is deleted but your general saves is fine.

I can’t even play my game anymore. Since I bought the new expansion pack (snowy escape) I had so many crashes and now my games stays on loading. It’s like stuck. I may have to uninstall it.

I had to make another EA account and it works on my ps4 now.

Is anyone else having issues with enabling their mods? Obviously the game disables mods after updates so I manually re-enabled them in the settings but when I restarted the game and logged back on, the game said mods were still disabled. So I re-enabled mods and restarted one more time and when I logged back on it still said mods disabled.

I am afraid about my game crashing again. I won't update the game yet and wait for the sentiments of the majority on how this update affects the game.
Sims4 on ps4 is now really getting slower and slower. 10 minutes into the game and it already lags. Definitely the right time to upgrade to ps5 but i don't have the resources yet. :'(
Update: I had no choice but to download the update because I cannot use the gallery without it. Everything seems to be working fine.
Since November I can't play the game. Xbox One X. Theres been maybe 3 updates since. Not one fixes the game.
After taking 10-15 mins to load in, game crashes after about 5 mins.
EA live chat support have been useless. I have spoken to other Xbox users having similar issues. There is no EA complaints procedure.
I feel frustrated.
hey, i need some help.
i’ve updated my game and now when i start it the “load game” and “new game” buttons are missing. i cannot access my households and my gallery is empty. the only option i have is the giant play button that starts a new game. i’ve tried repairing the game and even checked my saved files in my PC’s documents folders and they are gone too.
is there anything i can do?!
Omg the console crashed were so bad, I’m not sure if they still are, I lost like 3 hours of gameplay last night and the day before was like 4 hours 😬
I can’t even play now on my console since I got the last huge update it’s very frustrating :( when we get crashes when they updated again before this one was crashing too
why would you not save then? I save every night if I got a crash the other night and in sims 3 I save every night since sims 3 sometimes just like to shut down on me since my town is packed
It takes you 3-4 hours to save? It's better to save after every significant choice and progress point. Like after you pay your bills, after you get home from work, etc.
I like old background when get in game, is it just me?
Wow this update is amazing and opens up all the other possibilities that they can use sliders for like for CLOTHES or HAIR or EYES i hope the sims team doesn't miss out on that opportunity
All my skin cc broke, also my hairs and make up. Im sad :(
You do know, You shouldn't have updated until CC creators had made a patch and you need to do your research next time before update

Yep. In the Origin client, you can go to Origin > Application Settings > Scroll down to Client Update > Disable Automatic Game Updates
After this update my game won’t even let me have mods, it keeps saying they’ve been disabled no matter how many time I’ve enabled them. This has never happened before

I haven’t played the sims in 5 months(I use origin). Every time I try to play my game is either really slow or glitchy. Like my sims get stuck or multiply. And reset objects doesn’t work. Then it barely let me save . I was told I had to wipe my whole game clean and start from scratch😕 I was gonna play yesterday but it took so long to update. I’m scared to play now

Tbh blush is the thing we most needed more options for. I love the new opacity and hue options for other makeup, it's great and not something I expected updates for. But the blush is still unusable on darker skintones.

Bruh.. of course I forgot about the updated (and now want to start all over). My most recent family had TRIPLETS RANDOMLY with no traits or cheats soooo... pretty special. She also got asked out by drink dreamer like immediately and now I have famous children. I cant pass this up!!

I found that there is a bug with the skin tones. When my sim changed clothes there are red lines down her face like she was assaulted and beat up. It scared the crap out of me cause she came walking in my sims room looking like that. 😐

Genetics doesn't work well with the new skintone. The babies come out looking like either one or neither of their parents. Are you having that problem?
Deligracy among others, marticore and pleasant sims, made videos addressing this strange genetics.
The big question: Are people reporting more crashes with this one too? I haven't updated my game for awhile because of crash reports.

I love the new update but for some reason my gallery is not working. Whenever I try to see a house, room, etc there is a big red X and it says "the object could not be located". Am I the only one with this problem? Please help. (Sorry If I wrote something wrong I don't speak English very good).

WHAT ABOUT LEGACY EDITION. EA wants The sims 4 to run on slower computers and then stops updating for older computers. I haven't been able to buy a pack or get an update like ladders or platforms since TINY LIVING. Honestly I want to contact origin and ask for a refund for all the packs I have now and the base game. Its unplayable without mountains of CC that slow my game down. What the fuck EA.

I’m sorry but as a certified African American, I hate these new swatches :/. I wish I never updated my game. Because when trying to make a black persons, I honestly get a person who looks sunburned or who looks so black that you can only see teeth and eyes..no joke attended. Was trying to make a Mexican family but I get someone who looks sunburned.
The sims 3 had better coloration than this. come on! why is the sims 4 such crap? It still isn't good because there still isn't enough skin colors. and the worlds in the sims 3 are still better. and the coloration and customization was better for EVERYTHING.

Seems this pointless updates directed at Race!! skin tone "we don't really care about" and 3 hairstyles directed for black race only!!! political geared game!! nothing interesting in the updates at all.
Haven't played my sims 4 that I have on ps4 since update 1.36 I hoped they fix the lagging it be about a couple of seconds before your sims move to do a task you asked them to do
The update sucks balls because it WIPED 280 hours of play I had on old houses and rest me to the beginning of the game all over again.
Now all we need is babies cars and bunkbeds and sims would be nice
My game has been fine so far but i hope the cc creators update their skins because i have a lot of rainbow mermaids with fantasy skintones 😅 the skins still work because my purple mermaid sim is still purple using one of my cc skins. It's just the cc swatches now don't show up in cas so if i change her skin in cas i can't change it back

it would be awesome if the sims could add to cas an update with like a massive overhaul of hair like the skin tone update also an option to choose hair texture within styles? so you pick a style and then choose straight, wavy, curly, kinky, braided or dreaded and with bangs and dye like the tips or roots or streaks also with eyes not my idea just putting it out there
After the update installed, my games repeatedly get deleted and I keep getting error messages when I try to save them. Never happened before.
Do NOT get the update yet. They're not done baking it yet.
Maybe next update we’ll get updated babies and if they do update toddlers so they can sleep in cribs to and maybe if they do that add a stuff back for better cribs and strollers maybe even changing tables
