This is the best demo of the tb-3 and tr-8 I've seen on youtube. It's so awesome what you did with them! I like the improvs you were doing with the tb-3 touchpad. They both sound great! Did you also own the tb-303 and tr-808/909? (Or have you played them) How do they compare?
really nice jam, man. someone's got dj fingers lol i got the TB-3 a while ago but honestly it still hasn't found its place in my setup yet... while it does have some really nice sounds in there, the lack of tweakablity and also some interface with daw problems have left me frustrated... it certainly is fun to jam with though.
got a tb3 and tr8 love the kick drum on the 909 part of the tr8 only thing I don't like is scatter on both machines just makes a noise thankfully its switchable
I wonder why roland has 909 808 and 303 digitally reincarnated. The Tr 8 sounds quite ok but the tb 3 lags the original afterwards. I think with a mb33 and a couple of pedals you are better served...
If I had to choose between a Medusa or this I would pick this rig instead. Effects drums glitching effects and a n insane touch interface with usb anmidi inand out (full size ) that can also chain patterns together all without a computer. I do this with an Arturia drums brute which is my personal favorite straight up modern drum machine even over the new version . But this little synth might just be the most complete synth to come out of the entire Auria line for its price at the very least. Peace Christo 👽🐕🎶

I knew I shouldn't have gone to that Roland corporate retreat with the hypnotist. And signed all those intellectual property rights papers. I thought it would be fun! Just nerd brain harvesting.
That half-time section is awesome I find it infuriating how all the official production demonstrations are so damnably unmusical (Yes I'm looking at you, Elektron RYTM)
What is the wiring hook up like? Where does my tb3 mix out go to? I know you use a midi cord to sync the two. Also what are the TR8 assignable ports doing?
Looks like midi in and 2 lines out of the tb3 to the Tr8 and then the lines out of the tr8 to his recorder... but if you have a MX-1 both Tr8 and tb3 could be controlled over the usb input and other gear still included.
TR-8 Rocks my world! It is such a relief from mouseclicking on DAW tracks. You would not believe the amount of live control it gives you over getting the beat just how you like it. Agree about the TB3, not really a 303 at all.
