I've personally always liked them. Its an easy way to keep a splitter at the same angle at higher speed.... not that my miata gets fast enough. But in all seriousness it kept the front of my splitter sitting at the right angle and reduced the stress on the bumper on the normal supports.

I am 43... I drive a ridiculous '10 MINNI Cooper Clubman S (well... ridiculous on the highway). On my insurance card it is listed as a "station wagon". Apparently I am the only guy/girl who owns a tricked out and tuned MINI Clubman. Even tuned S coupes are rare in Louisville. I am currently pushing 20lbs of boost and running a stage 3 tune from Malone Tuning which is based in So Cal. The car is FBO with a 41mm BorgWarner Airwerks SX turbo, full racing Gecko Suspension, Clutch Masters FX400 racing clutch/lightweight flywheel. It is a ridiculous sleeper. Besides the semi-low stance and 4in dual exhaust the car looks completely stock. Sound is a different story. 41mm is small for a turbo, but it is crazy loud and the hiss it makes turns heads if I put my foot in it. The analog Forge BOV is icing on the cake! From a dig it's decent and pulls low 5 and high 4 second 0-60s... On the highway though... The 60-120 is ridiculous! The dual scroll turbo allows me to push 100% boost through the whole powerband! Looking as stock as it does I rarely get picked on. Every now and then though someone will hear my car and challenge me. I have yet to loose a race. I don't like bragging about the cars I take down 'cause it makes me sound like a liar. I do know that I would have lost to have of the cars I raced if they were not from the roll. I enjoy ALL kinds of cars and do not have a favorite manufacturer. Each car has it own strengths and weaknesses. To each their own imo. Just be honest about what you drive and know what your car is and isn't. The guy with an all show '95 Civic is all good... Until he claims to be running 10sec quarters. Hats off to Malone Tuning... They did wonders to my MINI. If your familiar with Malone Tuning, they specialize in Euros. You gotta pay extra for them to fool around with a MINI though, but they absolutely know what they are doing and have been 110% worth the price!
One thing I absolutely love is having some footwell illumination, and even extra LED strips in the trunk. It looks nice if you do it right, and can serve a functional purpose as well
As a detailer, I still prefer to clean my car because even with a sealant or ceramic coating you still have to clean it occasionally. (Road grime, bird crap, salt, water spots)
I’m 16 and just got my first car, I’ve loved cars for a majority of my life, and thank you for getting my car knowledge to where it is today, I’m not incredibly smart, but I’m slowly getting there, keep going blades, I’m so exited to learn more, so thank you bladed

At the end of the day car culture is not a single idea, its the appreciation of everything from formula 1 to monster jam, even if your not a fan of part of it. its still part of the culture and you have to accept and appreciate it for what it is.

You would usually only have them on areas where there is a detachment of airflow. More often than not people just put them on because they look cool and end up causing drag instead of attached airflow.

Vortex generators keep the air flow around you car laminar, which means it isn’t turbulent, which means less drag. Yeah this is beneficial if you have spoilers so they get “clean” air, but it is beneficial regardless because it reduces drag, making the car faster and more aerodynamic.
But Bladed You once said that lambo taillights on your C7 block a part of the airflow making some components prone to damaging/overheating Is it still nice?

Aero doesn't always have to be about adding downforce, you can tune their deployment to reduce drag, aid flow to extract heat from brakes, or even just be deployed to remove lift. All this stuff can affect lower powered cars, not just high performance types, but just adding stuff without knowing what you're doing is not gonna help... Aero isn't so linear as to say that adding 2 parts that are suppose to add downforce to the front and the back means more downforce everywhere. A bad setup can mean the combination negate each other leading to a single element being more impactful.

vortex generators actually are useful for daily drivers, as they decrease aerodynamic drag, which will slightly improve gas mileage.

Aero doesn't always have to be about adding downforce, you can tune their deployment to reduce drag, aid flow to extract heat from brakes, or even just be deployed to remove lift. All this stuff can affect lower powered cars, not just high performance types, but just adding stuff without knowing what you're doing is not gonna help... Aero isn't so linear as to say that adding 2 parts that are suppose to add downforce to the front and the back means more downforce everywhere. A bad setup can mean the combination negate each other leading to a single element being more impactful.
