It always depends on the car the use and other aero (only a huge wing in the back will generate more downforce but too a point because the added downforce will compress the rear suspension and will start too capture more air underneath the car decreasing the overall downforce soo good luck in the next fast corner oh and in extreme cases it is a ticket for a take off (fun fact the tail wing in airplanes generates downforce by default to counteract the center of mass in front of the center of lift)
The ductails or lips are model specific for me and need to be used in a way that makes sense; a dodge viper would be sick with a slightly higher ductail following the body line of the original one, and i would add a small lip to the front bumper and side skirts to compliment it, all body coloured for a sporty but still street look, maybe a Hennesey GTS style wing instead of the ductail since it's not "racing hardware" and it keeps the car themed. If I watched Anime MY WHOLE LIFE and someone who only did for 5 years already has me beat...y'know what that probably means? They aren't spending enough time in reality. They're wasting every hour of the day in a fantasy. Anime is a hobby. Meant to be enjoyed, meant to inspire you, meant to entertain, even meant to move you emotionally sometimes. But not something to _replace_ your reality with. It's still just a show at the end of the day...and all the characters aren't real. I've found that there are 2 kinds of weebs, the kind that go mad buying as much merch as possible, and the kind who don't push it too much, who aren't exactly private about it but don't go particularly overboard. I will only fap to her and none other! I must sleep with my daki of her or I cannot sleep! I have a literal shrine to her!" Like calm down son. Enjoy what you want to enjoy, but they're still not real and won't love you even if they were. Point 5.(rebadging). THANKYOU!!! As an owner of a 1.6 ts impreza, i have had so many people telling me i should just hide the badging and what not. Yes its only got 95bhp, but it can go just about anywhere with its uniqe hi-low gear series on a compact wagon. I'm proud of its climbing potential and its not always about speed and power
I have a funny fake badging story my dad told me. So back in the 80’s in the UK, the Ford Sierra Cosworth was well known enough that people would get cosworth bodykits for ordinary Sierras. Apparently someone near where my dad lived had their fake cosworth stolen. It was found shortly after at the side of the road, with a note in the window reading “sorry, I thought it was a Cosworth”.
Hahahaha that's fantastic, wouldn't get that with any old Fiesta or Focus now 😅 Anyone in the know passing by a real Cossie would probably give it a go as well
I'm a big GT wing/splitter/skirts/low ride height/wide tires kind of guy but i can respect people for liking more "sleek" designs. It's obviously not ideal to have those things on a car that someone daily drives so there's also that.
Honestly, wraps are on my list of mods I'll never do. They can look BEAUTIFUL, but I will never take care of it the way it would need, and aesthetics like that aren't high enough on my list of importance to justify the cost. Love it when others have a good one and yours looks great, just not for me. As for fake badging, I'm only in favor if it's hilarious. A beater car with Ferrari badges is great. It's like wearing an iron man costume; you're not trying to trick anyone.

Lmao about the interior decoration bit, I went to Ace Cafe fir the first time and I saw a Deadpool themed Challenger, a Joker themed Camaro, and a Mortal Combat themed Charger (I think.) They had the same themed items inside.
Thought on the fake badging. What if you bought the lower trim because that's what you could afford, then put in the work and parts over time to bring it up to that standard? I'd be cool with someone reading to a type r or an m series, if they put in the elbow grease to live up to it.

Im not fond of upbadging like putting an m badge on a 335 but im not gonna bully someone and call em out for it. I understand why they do it. They prolly feel left out with all the hype around super fast cars( in a straight line) so they throw an m badge on too not feel inferior. However i love downbadging lol. Its also good for speeding tickets. Removed the mbadge put 240i and not have a super loud exhaust and you cut your risk of a ticket in half. I personally got a mk7 jetta gli cuz its got all the same stuff as the gti but its also a jetta! The jetta gli is NOT common. While lots of people can prolly spot a debadge gti how many would notice a debadge gli? Without the red badging theres no other sighns. Other then it sits half an inch lower but other then that theres no sighns just looking at it from the outside! You get down n dirty with it and you can start too notice but other then that without a badge stating otherwise 99/100 police officers are gonna think its your run of the mil 150horse jetta. Unless he catches you doing something clearly sporty(thats how i always get caught. That and if my exhaust valves r open. Alsooo insurance thinks its just a top of the line jetta. Couldn't have said it better man, that last point about wanting to switch to the car community to find real people couldn't be closer to the truth. I'm working hard and learning a lot to be able to move to Canada if possible where my business is so I can at least get cool cars without stupid markups and meet cool people who literally like the same stuff as me
I think the mark of a true enthusiast, like Bladed, is seeing something done to a car (like a big wing) and recognizing that that it may not be what they have one to said car and maybe you dont like it, but it's what they have done to their car and it's what makes them happy, although you might not like it. Except for fake badging, no one should ever like that.
On #3, I like a big wing as long as it flows with design of the rest of the car, and on #4, I don’t care abt the wheel type unless I need 2; I usually just pick a rim because it looks nice (in my opinion)
Gotta say that I'm 100% with you on these. Not a fan of big wings, excessive interior, or swag. Hell, the badging thing hit me the hardest as I'm wanting to debadge my car -- I'm not afraid of announcing that I drive a Focus, just don't like the ugly font that my MK 1.5 came with.
I’m not sure if you’ve covered this in a previous video, but what are your thoughts on mock-up cars? I’m not meaning putting a V8 badge on a V6 Stang, but taking random parts are recreating an entirely different car. This is more commonly done with classic cars, such as taking old scrap parts and creating an older classic style car from scratch.
@@BladedAngel I disagree. comic upbadging is a style choice, and can be funny as heck if done well. but for best comedy, the lambo badge should go on a 5 door Fiat.

Wraping a sport car with your favorite anime or waifu is equal to scream: "Hey, i'm cooler than you and i don't care about the trends or the opinion of society!, i like anime, i have money and i like cars". Sorry to say this, but if you find it "cringe" you are still a normie, and that is very very boring and basic, hope you change you mind soon. ;)
As someone who grew up watching anime (including non-shonen shitshows), having watched degenerate shit like Strike Witches in 4th or 5th grade, and even once embraced the waifu culture (not anymore) to the point where it becomes pathetic, it's still cringey for me. If you think I'm a normie then fine by me, I've seen these over the top itasha for as long as I can remember back in 2015 surfing dannychoo's blogs about Itasha Fest from 2007 to 2011 and get exposed to many degenerate stuffs (kigurumi etc), along with the fact that I've gotten used to it at some point. Personally, it didn't change much of my view toward them being overly cringe.
11:13 Doug demuro did a video on this too, but he said that the only people that care are car enthusiasts, but they are also the ones that will know it's fake
I completely agree with everything you said, I removed my car badge for two main reasons , First because I didn't like how it matched the style I wanted my car to have, Second because people confused it with other models (I have a 90' Mazda MX5 )
9:00 Rotational mass is multiplied by 6 (simplified), so if you lose 2 pounds per wheel this equals 2x4x6 = 48 pounds of stationary mass reduction (interior / chassis / etc.). This will (especially on „slower“ cars) improve acceleration, top speed and gas mileage. But ofc there is a subjective line to draw where the costs overcome the use someone can get out of it.

^THIS. I had some "Weeb" try to ego check me by saying: "Ha? Only 250 anime series? You're a noob fan". You'd think smacking a several thousand dollar design on the car would be ballsy enough for an Anime fan, yet they want more? Hell nah. I ain't gonna tell them what to do, but they definitely ain't gonna tell me what to do either...
the only thing I would do is just get a body pillow ( as a joke) and a figure or 2 and maybe a poster in my room
@@BladedAngel I agree as a anime fan I'd have some anime characters that I would actually like, for example I would see this certain anime character cute. I have only watch a laughable amount of anime in the span of 7 years not even passing 50 because we all know there's still better things to do in life, I am gonna say it "Reality sucks" but anime to me is like my peptalk when I needed encouragement I just choose to watch anime. And then go back and face reality again.
@@AngeloDenwillPetate Same, no joke in like 5 years since I started watching anime, I have watched literally like 7 in total, and most of them were really popular shows, two of those being initial d and wangan midnight and one of those two isn't even finished watching yet and probably won't lol
Whats wrong with having anime accecories in your room?
Only mod I want to do is install a 5th gen Camry steering wheel on my 4th gen Camry and some clear headlights.
12:48 Yes! I still remember this from 4 Cruel Realities Car Guys Must Face.
I've found that there are 2 kinds of weebs, the kind that go mad buying as much merch as possible, and the kind who don't push it too much, who aren't exactly private about it but don't go particularly overboard. I fall into the latter camp, and you could easily not know about the sheer amount of anime I've watched
Personally, I enjoy buying my merch of my waifus, and having shelves dedicated to my merch. (Tho rn my shelf only has one Sega figure, a couple custom kitbash nendos, some Fate chibi kits, acrylic stands, and a handful of plushies.)
And yeah my discord stuff and wallpaper on my pc is usually Saber, and I have a small Saber sticker on my car... and varying forms of MHX on my bicycles.... and a crappy Saber pillow I drew for a "waifu pillow pillow pillow fight" on a $2.50 pillow... and my main cosplay for cons rn is proto Arthur... Ok yeah maybe I'm kinda cringe and Saber is my waifu get over it. Lol
But still, there's a huge difference between "I like this character, I'm gonna rep them everywhere and buy their merch," and "this character is literally my wife! I will only fap to her and none other! I must sleep with my daki of her or I cannot sleep! I have a literal shrine to her!"
Like calm down son. Enjoy what you want to enjoy, but they're still not real and won't love you even if they were. And tbf I still find dakis to be creepy, especially the lewd ones, tho I do get the appeal of wanting to snuggle something when you sleep.
@@CPD0123a fair point, for me I'll buy it if I like it, but I don't find most anime stuff cool enough for that

Hahahaha that's fantastic, wouldn't get that with any old Fiesta or Focus now 😅
Anyone in the know passing by a real Cossie would probably give it a go as well
I'm a big GT wing/splitter/skirts/low ride height/wide tires kind of guy but i can respect people for liking more "sleek" designs.
One dude whos local to me has a Nissan Note with the GTR Nismo badging on it, and I can't help but laugh at it every time I see it
7:57 What if wing was designed by OEM tuner like Nismo, TRD or M Performance ? I am pretty sure that they design these in order to improve downforce and cornering abilities.
As someone who was considering putting a GR badge on my Corolla SE, I never thought of the negative effects of fake badge so ty for your opinion
i don't get an entire interior redesign. all i think of when interior mods come to mind is more comfortable seats and a better stereo

I get a lot of crap for driving a BMW 228i because they say its not a "true" bmw ie its front wheel drive and even the xDrive is front wheel biased. It is also based on a mini as well and doesn't have that true 50/50 weight the bmw's are known for but I really don't care I love my car. I came from driving 3 different hatchback corolla's so its by far the most fun car I have ever owned. It may not be an m2 but I love what I have.

Thought on the fake badging. What if you bought the lower trim because that's what you could afford, then put in the work and parts over time to bring it up to that standard? I'd be cool with someone reading to a type r or an m series, if they put in the elbow grease to live up to it.
I actually love the custom badges, I saw a mustang with a coyote badge and now I have convinced my step dad to add one to his mustang
Lmao, gimme the darkness slap sticker🤣 Legit tho props for getting the point across. What i like when i watch your videos, is that you always manage to get the whole "Its my own opinion" across. Personally, I do think massive spoilers should stay off of certain cars. However, there are some contexts where it works quite well. Especially integrated wings like on the Senna. Active aero spoilers are quite nice. I do agree with you on massive aftermarket ones though because it can very easily ruin the look. iT's the reason I prefer the Z06 to the ZR1
Touring cars all have wings, they're not for looks
The whole "escape" thing just sounds like the "sad boy" car scene going on nowadays
Insurance has it as a " 2019 vw jetta autobahn". Maybe this is one of the few cars you can really get away with debadging but thats what i like. Triple honk and whip a mustang ina jetta😂. Honda type R wondering if his cars broken. Homda civic checking his computer🫣😂

I think the mark of a true enthusiast, like Bladed, is seeing something done to a car (like a big wing) and recognizing that that it may not be what they have one to said car and maybe you dont like it, but it's what they have done to their car and it's what makes them happy, although you might not like it. Except for fake badging, no one should ever like that.

about roof scoops. I think in rally cars they have them as a cooling for the driver, like you can see some air vents in the interior

I agree with Bladed on the last point. If you have a V6 be proud, but stop putting a Demon badge or a Hellcat badge on your V6 Challenger

I really didn't expect the race card either smh
I’m not sure if you’ve covered this in a previous video, but what are your thoughts on mock-up cars? I’m not meaning putting a V8 badge on a V6 Stang, but taking random parts are recreating an entirely different car. This is more commonly done with classic cars, such as taking old scrap parts and creating an older classic style car from scratch.
Hey Bladed, how're you doin'
I like wings if its a celica or evo wing but massive gt wings only work if they fit the body lines

6:00 it makes the car look like a dense commercial street in Tokyo, except it looks somewhat cool on commercial buildings in Japan.
Oh dude! You're playing Wangan Midnight now! You gotta at play the version we have here in Asia or Oceania. We got a bigger roster of cars, music and tracks. We're not gloating, just pity you guys in the USA from being left out due to some split licensing between Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infiniti, Honda/Acura etc.
6:40 roof scoops on front engine cars have a function, it’s to bring fresh air into the cabin. You’ll see that a lot in rally. Granted it’s probably not functional on that corvette but still, they do have a function on race cars with front engines
No engine mods ever, because the engineer that designed my car is smarter than me, I’m not into big wings, but the argument is flawed.
One thing I’d add to the list is stancing a car, I do think it looks decent and I build them in video games sometimes but I’d never in real life
Fun fact: in the UK everyone legally has to have a kettle and tea in there car for emergency use

Ok I tend to agree about lots of random stickers but the one at 5:52 was super well done. It looks like an intentional pattern/accent peice
Honestly, all the mods I need are in the engine, computer, brakes and exhaust. My 335i looks bone stock (other than M style wheels, swapping halogen lights to LED and debadged the 335i badge).
