It's really heartbreaking to know he will never walk out waving at the end of a Chanel show. The guy WAS Chanel. Literally an icon. He led an interesting and full life. Really thought he had another 5 years to him. What creative director could manage 3 fashion houses for nealry 40 years? I can't think of anyone. R.I.P

Well now... Chanel went right back to the 1960"s with this collection... I remember when I was a teenager, I was addicted to sewing with Vogue Patterns and this is just the kind of styles that were offered then... As a Professional seamstress, I can appreciate the incredible quality of the fabrics and sewing in Chanel clothing... This is an exceptional collection... I loved everything!

Yes, I knew something was wrong when Karl was not there for the finale: (( He died today: Tuesday February 19, 2019. He was a courageous man who revived the Chanel House & reminded us that trends die but "the classics of Fashion" live on forever. Thank you Karl Lagerfeld.
Loving Vittoria as the bride! Not only she deserves it, but she totally fits the theme of the collection. It was so wonderful to see her walking while listening to Mina's song Parole parole

Despite usual criticism of Karl Lagerfeld, I think all categories of Haute Couture had very elegant Chanel silhouettes. Especially the feather section, mon dieu those silhouettes.

Who would’ve thought this would’ve been Karl’s last show? It carries so much more meaning now that he’s gone. A true visionary is now gone, and we’ll all miss Karl so much. 💔 He truly revolutionized the fashion industry and will never be forgotten. RIP KARL LAGERFELD (1933-2019) 💐
Adding on to what you said, Lagerfeld once said that being modern is doing what is daring with a touch of individuality. This show was a breathtaking combination of vintage & modernity with a splash of creative flair both classic & youthful. I thought this last collection truly embodied what Lagerfeld sought for Chanel. Rest in Peace creative genius. Chanel herself would be so proud of you carrying on her legacy. Hope Chanel is in strong hands now. 🙏💕

I was hoping to see more unique/forward thinking/original pieces in this collection, but it looks really similar to several of Chanel's past collections... but I have to say I love the slingback booties and timeless classic jackets (as always). I was waiting for this one... I'm slightly underwhelmed.

@@MAXKIDDO8888 Yes, KL seems to express a more innovative and fresh take on fashion with Fendi, which seems like a much younger audience. Chanel is more of a mature, predictable audience, where Fendi seems to be directed towards Millennials.

My humble opinion, I would had done some pastel make up, and maybe a different hairstyle, I don’t think that the two go together. The hair for me is too harsh, kind of “rock and roll “ and the make up is too heavy::::::::: just saying .......🙏👍😍🌞

Way to uphold your masterful legacy in a time when your designing peers have fallen by the wayside. So modern, so imaginative, so chic. I am actually speechless, but something must be said.
