    Dramatic intro!
    Oh gods maths...
Also the braces throughout the video are just absolutely spot on! Are all of those all you have, or go you have a box stashed somewhere with like a snakes' nest of braces?

Thank you for your love of Harris tweed, it is a huge part of my family's story as we are from Harris . I'm very fortunate to have this heritage and a love of sewing . I live in NZ , land of sheep but not a great place to buy quality wool fabric. I look forward to watching more of your programs and enjoying a great sewer at work.

Looks great and suits You perfectly! Love the green ribbon and green sweatband detail :)
My grandmother used slivers of soap to mark seam lines on fabric. In my own beginner attempts at sewing it keeps a crisp line longer than chalk (although I haven't sewn anything from textured wool yet) .

Two things. First of all, I love how it took Bernadette Banner days of frustration and nth level geometry to try to figure out the Deerstalker design while this guy made it in minutes.
Secondly, this man has amazing style and talent but BY GOD his handwriting is horrifying!

That waistcoat at the end looks great as well!
I'm waiting on some materials to arrive to make my own attempts, not as high quality as what you have but it'll do for my beginner fingers without breaking the bank, I'm hoping to make both of your hats and a bowtie when they arrive.

Hello, I love your channel and have so enjoyed watching your videos. I am a costume designer and a costume historian and over the years I have collected a large library of books on history and construction of clothing. One of the things I have I think you might be interested in me making a copy of and sending it over. . .it is three books by the same author and they are from 1926, 27 and 28 and are a system of equations to make men's Coats (dozens and dozens of styles from formal to casual), pants and vest (3 books in total, each book covers one item in a huge variety of styles. I got them at a used books store in a free to take pile! I have yet to do a draft from the book--I have not yet designed a show set in the 1920s when I also had the time to tailor men's garments, but I want to. If you are interested let me know and we can exchange emails about how best to get a copy to you. thanks for your work!

It's unfortunate that people would avoid wearing such a hat because it's been caricatured by a fictional character. So to wear it would be thought of as wearing a costume.
Oh well I'll wear one anyway.
