I think that bringing back old dungeons is the best thing they’ve done to m+. The variety is a breath of fresh air. I’m so glad we didn’t have to keep the DF dungeons. Most of them suck. In fact, I’m dreading this upcoming season because the only fun dungeon is AA. Wish they’d just update more old dungeons instead.
Throne of Tides isn't a fun keystone, but it is a HUGE improvement over the old dungeon. It would've been a solid dungeon if they hadn't botched the final hall to the last boss imo.
I love Atal'dazar my friend makes fun of me because I will run that thing 100 times but it is super simple and clean and just a fun dungeon. I would love for them to bring back even older dungeons and obviously update them for M+ in regards to pathing and mobs. I don't think it would be terribly hard to do (I'm thinking things like Old Stratholme & UBRS/LBRS/BRD), even if they had to separate them out like they did with the DoTI dungeons. Mainly because I want to experience those dungeons again - I remember having so much fun slogging through them at a snail pace back in the day that I think they'd be fun updated even if the pace changed.
AD is a dungeon where low key levels are GREAT but at 26+ I"d rather do any other dungeon including Rise. That last boss is just so absurd at high key levels on Tyran.
At the start of Dragonflight, it was stated in interviews (I believe by Ion) that part of the reason to have rotating dungeon pools each season was that it gave them a chance to add new dungeons mid-expansion without getting all the backlash that Cathedral of Eternal Night or Seat of the Triumpharent got. However, now at the end of Dragonflight we have gotten exactly 0 new dungeons outside of the usual mega-dungeon. More than a "creative" death, I think there is a very real chance that the homogenizing of patch content means we won't ever get these kind of surprise dungeon releases with the increased expansion cadence that the World Soul Saga has hinted at.
Variety is the spice of life, more old dungeons into the m+ rotation and make the rotations happen after every month. Maybe the first season should be all new dungeons but after that just keep rotating, NO AFFIX.
I like all the dungeons. They can put whatever they want in each season and I'll be fine with it. I'm beginning to wonder if you guys just don't like this game as much as you think.
@@alihordaive done over 250 m+ runs this season and the more I play tott, the more I enjoy it:D Rise is what I enjoy the least now. Charging guy you cant target in pool, two boring drakes, morchie and battlefield are both irritating and chronolord feels like me just running from side to side😅
mythic + affixes: 1 - seasonal affix 2 - any affix except tyrannical/fortified 3 - personal affix - only affect 1 player at the time (inspired by horrific visions) my favourite dungeons: stormstout brewery, culling of stratholme (assuming you remove rp) , karazhan but barnes to devourer. waycrest manor, ataldazar + kings rest (assuming first boss in kr is changed somehow since its similar to 3rd boss in ad) motherloade, rework sludge in mechagon and you can run it whole (safety dance annoying for casters) + make 4th boss easier to solo in mythic(currently almost impossible to solo (make the charging increase based on number of people missing in party) tol dagor theater of pain -maybe change first boss to miniboss tazavesh streets with removed rp from oasis. as for gambit possibly replace the wipe mechanic to not require communication. de other side - remove adds from around muehzala (the entire stone ring that leads to other bosses) retuned terrace of endless springs new timewalking dungeon - there is no adds just 4 bosses. random bosses from random dungeons(maybe raids) and blizzard should remove restriction on leveling dungeons - you should be able to queue for any dungeon you want during leveling
I think there is a big difference between the things that blizzard thinks are fun about dungeons and the things that the people actually find fun. I love the idea of bringing back old dungeons, also because as a new player, this brings a connection to all the old stuff wow had to give. But they would have to reevaluate why exactly throne, vortex and also dungeons like Halls of infusion really flopped and why freehold has been a fan favorite for years
Im not good enough to care about how this stuff reflects on 30+ keys. But for me who's someone that just goes for KSM so maxing at like a 20. But I'm really happy with having old dungeons coming in, it adds to variety and using the wealth of content the game has, and the dungeons from DF can then come back in future expacs instead of just being cast aside forever
I actually enjoyed vortex pinnacle. I thought every boss but the first were a fun challenge and I was consistently timing +20's. The second boss was actually kinda awesome. And I had so much control as a tank with the percentage and the routes were easy to memorize and play around, defensives at the bottom of the stairs, avoid the second dragon or not, etc... I championed vortex during season 2 and I will stick by it.
´´A lot of the excitement around the old dungeons is rooted in the dislike of the new dungeons´´ Couldn´t put it better. Still expecting S4 to basically prove how just dull, uninspiring and poorly designed DF dungeons were. Also kinda absurd how good this channel is, never heard about it before. Instant sub.
TBC dungeons do seem like they fundamentally make good keystones. Short dungeons that you can blast through with potential for large pulls, but some challenging mobs that can be played around. And some fun things you can do with count. Which historically successful keystones emphasized these ideas. HOWEVER, the outdated mechanics need to be entirely overhauled like cataclysm dungeons... and that's why I don't want them. IF I had to pick some I'd enjoy shattered halls, magisters terrace, steamvaults, and botanica. But I'd also think it'd be a fun gamble on stuff like blood furnace and arcatraz cus their heroic versions we're incredibly hard.
I think reusing old cntent just makes sense, we don't need 20 new dungeons every xpac, I like alot of the old dungens and it's nice to see them be relevant outside of leveling content
Being a player who is coming up to the end of his first 30 days in the game I am at 1700 mythic+ rating. I cannot touch on the subject of this video since its all new to me :D
The best part of M+ in DF is playing the old dungeons (other than Vortex Pinnacle which is awful). The only DF dungeons I like are Algethar (amazing), BH (very good), and Neltharus (pretty good). New stuff jis just over-designed. I don't understand how people can want to run the same dungeons over and over again for several months straight. There is no dungeon in the game I would want to run in M+ for more than 3-4 months in a row.
I dont want to play same dungeons for 2-3 years. I think we need to start worrying about declining quality when this decline actually starts. Right now people begged blizzard for years to start reusing their old content bc every expansion was invalidating it. And i think they are taking steps in a right direction. When game starts becoming bad people will be very vocal about just bc of the amount of haters this game has.
not enough time on the new dungeons to cook them and really enjoy them, i loved legion but id rather be doing more dragonflight dungeons than doing brh and dht again, dungeons that i did for years straight already, they should do the normal seasons with the new expac dungeons and then just bring old content for the last season of the expac like they did on shadowlands , imo
Cataclysm remake of Deadmines is the saddest thing in the world. This hyperbolic statement is coming from a retail player that hates classic. New deadmines just doesn’t have the flavor and fun of the original. Mostly because the quest line leading up to it just isn’t nearly as interesting.
@@dragonsegg100 I agree. Old Deadmines and pretty much every vanilla dungeon would be horrible as M+. I just don’t think the new deadmines is any better. The journey of into westfall then to the deadmines was such a great iconic thing, it shouldn’t have been messed with. There are dungeons from every expansion that would do great in m+ with a little revamping. Deadmines though isn’t one of them.

Absolutely banger video, Choice's delivery is just perfect. Put this guy in front of a microphone as often as you can!
Honestly, when the first cam on video came out, I was iffy about it, I love the faceless voices, but this guy is charming and funny! I'm a fan

This, no affix or timer just mob hit hard and we do mechanic better
i only like Throne because i can actually play my tank spec on that dungeon and not worry about routes. I appreciate it for being chill on tanks😂
