This is one that gets easier as you get higher up, there becomes less routes that are used since certain routes are so much more optimal. Makes it easier to know when to CD
You guys make a good point, and this is extremely hard to execute well, especially in PUGs. A walkthrough like this is very much needed for the community! Great video! And on a personal level, huge thanks for including me in your video. I was so surprised, and I'm truly honored. Keep it up!
Pugs make cooldown management hard, mostly for me its better to use them as much as possible or see when other DPS don't have their cd's and use it there to benefit from the longer add lifetime.
@@daviduk1692 i mean the bs in the video was insane i knew right away that using cooldowns on the first or second pull was the best idea since it was always gonna be ready on boss but not using it at all when you get it back before boss is a wasted play a bad play this guy is really not showing his knowladge and i've only played for a month in wow overall and have 2.2k ratting after 4 days of playing mythic for the first time lol this guy is simply being moronic in this video
@@RitmeFPS yes, you only use tyarsnt when grimoire felguard and dreadstalkers are going to expire. It doesnt expand time if you cast it straight after. But when both are expairing and you cast tyrant it gives +15seconds and by the time it expires you can chain 3rd dreadstalkers in row. Also demonigh stremgh aka 300% felstorm is lining with tyrant and grimoire every second time as it havr 1min cd.
@@powerplay074no tyrant is not, since u pretty much never use tyrant after 90 sec since I hold it for 120 sec to use it with felguard, so I plan my dungeon around 2 min cd. Pretty astonishing this whole video talks about a fundamental wrong premise
What about healers? When I'm pugging and don't know how the tank is going to pull, I tend to hold onto my CDs for "oh s***" moments a lot and end up with very few usages.
Healers cds you should just use when you know the pull is going to be tough knowing what mobs are in the dungeon or what is in the specific pull you are facing. As a holy paladin I use wings on pulls I know are tough just to keep the group topped up, the more often you use your cds in the dungeon the more you know when you should and shouldn’t use them. Healing cds are there to help you sustain the group, not so much your “oh shit” buttons
I’m only at 3k as a disc priest, but one thing I learned is too just pop them unless you know a Major mechanic is coming up. Any competent dps or tank should be popping their defs or getting out of stuff and with this season if they aren’t then at any decently high key they are just dead anyway 😊
Despite being about FFXIV, JoCats wisdom rings true: "USE YOUR FREE DAMAGE BUTTONS. THEY'RE FREE DAMAGE." "B-but this one has a long cooldown" "No it doesn't, shut up"
Everyone knows that you save every cd for the boss bc the player at the top of the meter there is by default the best, nobody cares about trash or overall dmg duh
Great vid, but on the first boss my immediate answer when you ask ''should they pop cd'' my immediate answer was ''yes of course, its a 90 sec cd'' - but you make me slightly de-learn that throughout the video before finally telling me I was right. From a psychologic PoV that's detrimental to the viewer (compared to saying the answer from the start and then demonstrating). Just a heads up - intention was good but please improve on this front. If you do I will subscribe. (As a matter of fact if I didn't write this comment and noticed there's more content afterward, I would've stopped watching then and there... I like to believe I'm not unlike other human beings)
"Will my cooldowns last for the duration of this pack?" - I don't really understand this. Do you mean "Will this pack last for the duration of my cooldowns?"
One thing I learned as I started to push higher keys is, your cooldowns should always recharging! By just constantly having something rolling, I learned when to time my stubs and CD’s!
that's exectly what i thought but he talks about not using it at all just in case bs when he should have known from the start that his cd would be back up before boss if done at first or second pull it's still a good benefit and far superior to wasting it completely
you cant use 18's and 20's as an example... nothing lives long in those keys. should i use tyrant on this trash pack? no dying to fast. this.. oh wait dying to fast. as the ret pops it on CD every pull any pull and does 150k more overall. IDK who you have talked to but all the top players even in streams say use CD on CD unless in a non pug group with planned pulls of "said" CD's.
A demo warlock with only a minute long cooldown was a really bad example. Also what separates a good group from a bad is situational awareness & dungeon knowledge.

Usually you'd want to use all your Cd's together on a big pull or tough pack

Tyrant isn’t Demo’s main cool down, it’s Felgaurd. 😢
Both are always used together so yes it is.
Your comment is pretty irrelevant seeing as how you hold tyrant for felguard🤷🏼♂️@@powerplay074

Pop all CDs on cooldown, Divine Storm go brrr
more like the tank pulls large, I pop all cooldowns, tank falls over

Great discussion ❤
The biggest factor is 1) previous seasons IO score and 2) If you class is 'meta' or not.
what are the addons and auras on the screen especially on the left? party, party cds and interrupts?
I think in order to push my rating, I'd need to be able to find a group... 😅
Imagine making an 11 minute video that can basically be summed up with a "just f***ing send it" meme.
using CDs at pull on last boss of DHT is a noob move. you need to hold long CDs after he transitions to below 50% and thats also when u pop BL.

Instructions unclear, used emerald communion on cd

Just don't use your cd at the end of trash pack or boss and you will be fine 😅
