    Zappe's ball velocity is good and can be improved. He has more arm talent currently than does Mac.

    • @albertcamus5970
      @albertcamus5970 4 месяца назад

      Yeah I think he has more zip on his throws - only because he is quicker on his feet and can get set up fast.
      But more zip then Mac isn't saying much. Honest to god that throw he made in Dallas was worse then ANY HS QB I have ever seen play IRL. I was sitting towards that side of the field that the threw to - and it was just a duck. No velocity - no zip - just an awful amateur like throw that half the stadium could have made.
      BB likes a guy with a big arm - Matt Cassell - Ryan Mallet et al. Sure these guys didn't do much - but the point is if a guy with a big arm falls to us - we likely take em. Someone tall that can stand in the pocket - see over people and make big time throws. That's what Bill likes. This mini QBs - are fine for backups - but for your QB1.. Maye is a good pick.

    Bailey believes in himself. That is a very powerful trait that cannot be taught. One of the most important intagibles. You never know how far confidence or "being cocky" can take you. To him, he is a starter in the NFL not a back-up like the media says.

    All of the "cons" you say about Zappe are things that can be overcome with some more experience. Remember he has less than a dozen NFL starts. He is still learning. Any young QB is gonna make mistakes and be inconsistent from time to time. The key thing is he is learning and not making those same mistakes over and over. You can actually see him improving every single week.

    Bailey has traits that you want in a QB. One is that pocket presence, the ability to climb the pocket. He has the ability to feel pressure in the pocket. His down field vision is great. If I had to say he reminds me of anyone, it's like a cross between Brett Favre and Drew Breeze. He is getting way better and I think he is the guy that saves BBs job. I'm stoked with the classic BB style game winning drive with 2 seconds left. He is becoming one in his own. Go Patriots, Beat the Bills!

    The idea that a first round qb is the answer is completely ridiculous!
    Any first rounder qb will need to sit for 1-2 years !
    The raiders just beat the chiefs with a back up qb and didn’t even throw the ball!
    So what does this tell us!!
    It tells us you don’t need a top 3 qb to beat a top 3 qb!
    What the patriots need is a better defense and one good/great wr!
    Very simple! Trade down and get 2 first rounders! DL and CB
    Pick up a proven wr via trade and the patriots are completely reloaded and ready for a Super Bowl!
    I guarantee it!

What about jonah Williams? I mean I love Tyrone Smith but he's 34, he's got some time but we need a guy who will be there for ten to fifteen. Honestly if mhr is there at 4, take him and develop a tackle in the second. If not, take a tackle and get a wideout. Also I love barmore and wise, white is getting better but guy is probably gone and gotchex or whatever his name is will be gone to, we need a nose tackle that can play the zero in 34 and the 1 tech in our weird 423 thing. Zappe is average - which makes him look like a superstar compared to Mac Jones. He cannot be the guy - was not drafted to be the guy - and was cut from the roster. He has a weak arm - and cannot make all the throws at the NFL level. He lacks size and cannot throw over big linemen. Pats generally have gone for guys with big arm talent. And this is what they should continue to do.
    What he can do is move a little - he has good feel - he can throw with some accuracy. He knows how to play football. All the things we thought Mac Jones could do. Pats should draft a QB and they should keep BB. But BB is going to win out with Zappe as a FU to the Krafts who jammed Jones down his throat and then fired him for Jones bad play.
