But the bad news is that it will hurt him down the road for a huge contract extension if he’s literally the backup. Instead of signing for over $100 million he might be lucky to get $40 million for three years. He needs to get it together and get his job back

I mean if they’re not touched then any receiver will try to get up and run for more yards. If the line is right there then I’m sure most receivers will try knowing they aren’t “down” yet to get the extra yard for the TD.

@@drc5378 I am a pats fan and I agree 100% Yea the whole Brady and Bledsoe thing I get it and people see this as the second coming of that incident but it’s not the same. Bledsoe was a true veteran and Brady was a rookie. I wouldn’t call mac a veteran of the league by any means. I can’t help but feel terrible for him as well because the fan base turned on him AT HOME of all places.
I was in the stands for that game. It was a busy week attending games for me. I got to go to that game and the Bruins game three days later. We were ALL going nuts for Zapoe. When he entered and the two TD drives. Then the roof caved in so to speak. Zappe was AWFUL In the second half. He never saw the field the rest of the season. Needless to say, the Bruins game three nights later went much better.
Mac is a great game manager. Zappe, although accident prone right now, can be explosive. It’s really gonna be one or the other
