I'm a lover of bobcats also. It's really gratifying to see that Momma cat adopted her and that she had enough milk. Those 2 domestic kittens are pretty big to still be nursing.
I was just about crying when I seen the mommy kitty let the lil baby nurse. It was so cute watching the lil paws. This lil bob cat has all my best wishes for its future in the wild.
Beautiful! I love what you wonderful people do, thank you so much for taking the proper time and care to do what is best for these wild cats! I feel pain for what is happening to Florida's wilderness, but it is nice to know that there are still groups out there who care so much.
such a joyful sight. I have personally witnessed adoption as well. My friend picked up an abandoned cat with its eyes still blue. It could not even be fed from a bottle and was starving to death. My cat just had 4 kittens at the time and I invited him over to see if my cat would accept his kitten. Sure enough, the mother cat took a good look at it then she let it crawl onto ner belly. It made me wonder if the story of Romulus and Remus might have been true after all.
Cats are loving creatures they will accept you if you gain their trust,if they attack you for no reason it means you've come to close to their territory or they've been traumatised.

No other bobcats wouldn't have accepted her they are solitary cats and would of killed her, plus our ultimate goal was to release her back into the wild, which we did so there was no need to introduce her to other cats. :)
@MissDeweylover My understanding is that when they knead the belly, they are actually helping the milk glands in the mother produce and drop the milk for them.

@Poika99 Momma kitties have a little kitty language they talk to their kittens with. Body language is part of it. I was noticing this with a feral momcat when she was caring for her litter of kittens, which I socialized so they could be adopted. Much of the chirps moans, and modified meows are very quiet, many times I could see her talking to her kids but couldn't hear her. They have ears that pick up sound for miles, so there's no surprise that they are quiet when the communicate.
You need to supplement the cats milk. The needs of a bobcat are more than a domestic cat can supply. Bobcats require lots more calories because they grow to be much larger cats.

How well do these wild babies do when released?. You can bet most slowly starve. As they had no mother to teach them how to hunt.
