Thanks for sending this video to me. I hope the mother accepts the little guy. I have had many momma cats that had kittens but never had to try and introduce a new baby to one. I will keep watching to see what happens.
I have 2 Tuxie catZ in my 6 pack, so I was rooting for this momma to feed the baby. I hope she warmed up to it and we'll see that next time. Thanks for sharing the experience, it's fun, but heart-breaking too.
We still go out to there area every month or so and set camera traps to see if we get any photos of the bobcats, we got some images of chance our previous release a year later, so that's good news!

@JulietteDaria Hi, Hope is doing great, she was released back into the wild! Watch all the videos in the series the final episode (14) is when she gets released :)
A good friend of mine owned a pair for 18 years. The main thing was just to avoid startling them and forcing them to do something they didn't want to do. But they do bite more readily than a domestic cat when annoyed.

@BigCatRescue sorry I haven't replied in a long time but my question is when you put out the camera traps what if you accidentally get a picture of a bobcat but you don't know if it is Hope or not?
The mother cat: I'm in a cage with a wild bobcat! This must be a bad dream! Where's my bowl of fancy feast?! Maybe someone will turn on the TV and I'll wake up! I showed my kitty Tangerine video of Pumba the caracal on you tube and she went running in the other direction.
Ask your vet if you can use B-1 for parental surrogates. B-1 (thiamine) is very useful to remove stress from otherwise stressful situations in a wide variety of animals. It's merely one of the B complex vitamins and often called "poor man's valium."
this is what i want to do when i get a job i want to rescu animals to and would i beabel toadopt one of the citens when theyr old eanuof to leav the nest
The contrast between the fact that the music is SO loud and the narrator's voice is SO soft is aggrivating, because you turn up the volume to hear what she's saying and then the music is blasting. Very nice voice, but pick a volume. That baby Bobcat is adorable - I hope it turns out allight. It's a shame that the mother cat idea didn't work. :( Good try.
@snakeurass if you want a wild looking cat that's still a good pet get a Maine Coon or a Siberian :) I have one of each and they are delightfull boys :)

You will be pleasantly surprised when you see the next video. Thanks for caring about the mother cat too.

Mommy cat is precious...
Awesome!!! Good luck!!!
so cute!
Yes, you can but this would be a very bad idea for both you and the bobcat, these are wild animals that will always have those wild instincts!

@iluvbobcats We have ways to tell which bobcat is one we have released from their appearance alone :)

I won't lie but I felt bad for both the bobcat and the mom.

Poor baby bob cat
humans have the choice of being evil or good -- entirely up to us. animals' only choice is whatever their instincts provide them.
