  • Join me on this journey as I show you step-by-step how I turned leftover laminated Baltic plywood and 2"x2" wooden slats into a fantastic kitchen table. Before that I made an open-type kitchen appliance for my friend, now taking it up a notch with a matching table for my friend's kitchen.
Watch closely as I tackle the challenge of creating a seamless joint between the plywood and wooden slats. To make it adjustable and perfectly flush, I used DIY worktop connection bolts from threaded rods. This trick comes in handy, especially when dealing with laminated countertops where sanding or planing isn't an option.
Next up, I dive into pocket hole joinery for the table legs. It's a super neat technique that keeps the design sleek without any visible mounting screws. You'll see how easy it is to achieve a modern look with just a pocket hole jig.
For extra stability, I decided to attach the table to the wall. I share my tips on securely mounting the table to drywall using, in my opinion best dry wall anchors. To beef it up even more, I added a wooden slat to the wall, and then mounted table legs to the wooden slat, ensuring that this kitchen table is as sturdy as can be.
In result, A simple yet stylish kitchen table that fits seamlessly into the interior. It's functional, it's attractive, and it's made from leftover materials!
