I'd suggest following their waitlist guidelines (e.g., if they accept additional documentation, prepare that such as a Letter of Continued Interest). I would not send them materials unless they ask for it.
I believe those numbers are for 2022. I think Cal's rate of acceptance off the waitlist in 2023 was around 24%.
Can you please share this data source? We have never come across a number this high for Cal.
