I applied to my dream school early action and was first deferred. I then wrote a deferred supplemental letter detailing what I’ve achieved regarding my extracurriculars and academics since my first application. Then, I was unfortunately waitlisted in the regular decision round. The school is allowing me to write another LOCI, but as I wrote the deferred supplemental only a month ago, I do not have any additional achievements to add. What should I do?
Since May 1st is the college decision day, and we would choose which college to attend. What happens if we get accepted into our dream school after that date like in July even though you already payed for housing and committed to a different college on May 1st?
If you accept a waitlist offer after May 1, unfortunately you will forfeit the deposit that you made at your previous school. However, at least in my experience, housing payments are not until August, so you won't have to give that up. Either way, housing may get refunded, but deposits won't.
i got off the waitlist at my dream school. i had to forfeit almost 1k at the other school i had been committed to. for me, it was 100% worth it, but unfortunately that is something to consider if u got off the waitlist. but i wouldn’t let that stop you from at least opting into the waitlist!
i got waitlisted at Berkeley, and there was an option to submit a waitlist essay in the opt-in form, and they said they don’t require anything else. so in this case i don’t have to submit another LOCI, right?
I’m waitlisted and I’ve sent a LOCI after accepting the waitlist offer ( I sent a loci 2 weeks later after accepting the waitlist offer) do u think I’ll get accepted??
I had applied for cenntonial college through pte score which 6.5 in bands for food science (fast- track program). My name was in watlist. Well I get offer letter
If i got admission (offer letter) for one course and if i accept that offer and remaining 2 courses are waitlisted. Will I get offer letter for remaining 2 courses ??
The colleges in Canada like Humber ,Seneca etc have the word waitlist beside their courses for example I wanna apply for a graduate certificate course of Business management but in the status of that course it’s written as “waitlisted “ so do you think I should still apply to those courses? Or go for some other intake?
@@AchievEDPrep hey for upenn there is a place to submit it in the portal, so do I address it to the admissions officers as a whole? Thank you by the way!!!
Needed this, thanks AchievED!
I got waitlisted from schools with GPA averages way lower than mine and I CAN'TTTT

Will we hear back if we aren’t accepted off of the waitlist?
Yes you probably will, at the very end (July/August)
But what if a person was waitlisted with the early action?
But UCSD don't want LOCI right? The ucsd portal didn't prompt me to do anything else.

Yes, in this case the waitlist essay = LOCI
@@AchievEDPrep Thank you!!
Waitlisted to Virginia Tech praying I get in

@@sikandarzaheer1349i did!
What if they clearly state not send anything the only thing we should do is wait, should I still send some letters?
Nope
How to get off the waitlist and get into your dream school: tell them you are not white and you made a mistake when you checked that box.
💀😭
Or Asian particularly Indian
Should I mail the faculties/director of the program I got waitlisted in? Is that going to be a problem?

Same question
Where do I send the letter of continued interest to?
Send to your regional admissions officer, unless there is a place for you to submit in the portal

@@Graceugox You can do either. Note that it will likely be your regional admissions officer who reads your letter first
Hi , what if the college doesn’t accept LOCI?
Email your regional admissions officer with the letter attached, unless the college specifically says that they do not want LOCI
I got waitlist to reed
Spark_Techz will be able to help you out on that bro i just got approved with the help of him all thanks to him

do second semester senior yr grades matter if i’m waiting for a waitlist college?
Probably not required, but some students may send them in after they get waitlisted. Good grades can't hurt though!
