First off I can’t believe how fast you got this piece done since buying it. And yes waxing videos please. Any knowledge I can soak up from you is always appreciated. Love this piece.
Yes waxing video please...I had a couple pieces stay tacky for a while. You’ve inspired me to use a transfer...there are so many cool ones out there. This looks gorgeous!
This is GORGEOUS!! Love this piece! My very first piece (my dining room buffet) I ever did was with Annie Sloan in Louis Blue and dark wax all over too!! The funny thing is I used to hate the color blue. When my husband and I married 16yrs ago I said “we will never have anything blue in our house” (it’s his favorite color, FYI). But I saw Kacha do a piece in it and loved this look. So after I watched her video about 500 times I finally got the nerve to paint and loved the way it turned out (it’s still one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever painted). That was 2yrs and 25+ pieces ago. What I’ve learned in these weekly videos from artists like you, Kacha, Crys’Dawna, Brandy Kollenborn and so many more is invaluable. So much, that it gave me the confidence to start my own furniture art/restoration business. So thank you. (Sorry I went on a little long in this post, just wanted you to know how much what y’all do on your RUclips channels is appreciated.😊)
I would also love on waxing techniques. It's one of the things I struggle with. Love this video, you are easy to watch and follow as you go along, thanks.
Personally, I would have POLISHED that Hardware, it's GORGEOUS!!!! Also, probably would have used Black Wax on the Piece instead of the Brown. You really did do a GOOD JOB though, KUDOS!!!
I just purchased pretty much the exact same antique piece yesterday....Started stripping the drawers last night...9+ layers of paint with at least one coat of oil based and multiple extra layers of topcoat....getting a work out !!! Thank you for the inspiration to get it done !!
Yes I would absolutely love to watch a video of all the ways to wax painted furniture. I love everything you do and can't wait to watch your next video! Thank you for all your tips and tricks and your fun and instructional videos! 💜🙏💗😊❤️
I have a buffet my Grandpa refinished about 40 yrs ago. The shellac is almost black in places and it will take alot to get it down to something so I can do this kind of finish. I love your piece. I'm into white, light and slightly distressed. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Don't you just love the transfers?!!!! I've been using them for awhile and every time I list a piece it sells very quickly. Fastest 1 in 15 minutes. LOVE what you did. 💗❤💗BEAUTIFUL!
I truly liked this DIY instructive video. So detailed and doable. Btw, your clear soothing voice makes it even easier to follow. I liked that you added narration during editing. I’ve subscribed to your channel and look forward more videos (especially the one about different waxes).Thank you 😊
Definitely yes on the waxing video. That would be very helpful. I'm getting ready to fake my china cabinet I've been painting my furniture for a while but I can use a little extra information on waxing. Thank you so much. I love the buffet that you just finished, beautiful.
I absolutely love your work! You inspire me every time I watch you. I have a piece it's an old bread proofer but we use as a night stand. I think a transfer would really bring it to life. After watching you I'm much more confident I can do it ! Thanks Christina. Yes I Would love to see more about waxing
You inspired me. I had an old buffet that I was redoing. I got a transfer from re-design. I am also doing a church pew with a kneeling bench and on the back I am going to do an inspirational transfer!. Thanks.
You're such a daredevil, of course, we want an instruction video of it. It became beautiful. I always fall in love with the original piece and sigh if you start. Then I fall in love with the finished object again. Realy your power, I think. Thanks.
YES GIRL!! 😍 That turned out Absolutely Amazing!! That's such a beautiful color!! Thank you for always being so inspirational & sharing that with us!!💙 I am getting ready to reopen my store since the shut down & I am in crazy mode trying to get all the things done!! I've been putting off ordering my transfers and moulds.. But I realized I can't wait anymore & I'm ordering them all tomorrow!! lol Taking a step back and watching your videos always Resets my crazy brain, Inspires me & gets me back on my creative track! Thank You 💙
I hope in the last 2 years you've discovered that dewaxed shellac is what you want for this purpose, not regular. Shellac sticks to everything and everything sticks to shellac. It's not about it being shiny, but the wax content, that makes you need to sand it before painting it. Short of mixing your own shellac, the best way to get dewaxed shellac is to get Zinzzer's Sealcoat.
I would LOVE a wax video like you mentioned. I have been so curious about which brand of wax provides the best protection/durability. Tried to research but couldn't find the answers I was looking for.
Wow- amazing transformation. The transfer is very cool I have never tried one either. It definitely does elevate it. I would be interested to learn more about waxing in a tutorial. Like you did in your last piece with the desk applying a wax over a topcoat- would be interesting!
Thank you SOOO much for your help!!! You’re a genius!! I wrote to you asking for help when I was trying to paint a piece just like this one. It took me a couple of months to continue with my project, but I wanted to let you know that I followed your advise and my buffet is now beautiful!!!!💕 THANK YOU!!!! I wish I could reply to the message you sent me but I can’t find it, so I decided to write here.
Absolutely beautiful!! Can I ask why the dark wax though instead of sanding the dark spots? Is the wax easier? I’m getting ready to redo some pieces and wondering now if I should get the brown wax to do the distressed look.
My favorites are Dixie Belle, Jolie, and Annie Sloan. I like topcoats and wax- it just depends on the look I am going for and how the piece is going to be used.
Stunning piece! Dark wax scares me, so I would love to see a detailed video on using it! And how you used the steel wool with it. You didn’t really show that in this video. Thanks for all your great videos!
Great video. It looks gorgeous. Could you do a video on all the possible different sealants and yes waxes. There were four different types of product you put on this item before it was done. Why did you use so many products? Want to understand what they are for. Also what product to use for what finish your looking for? Thank you.
Love this! Would you ever consider painting wicker furniture? I am in the process of painting a wicker dresser set and I am stumped on what to do with the wicker part. I was thinking of staining it but it seems hard to get into the crevices. Then I though white but I painted the wood part white. I don't want it all white.
Hi Christina, I love your vídeos, the way you explain and the why you’re doing a certain technique. I’m a furniture flipper and I haven’t gotten around to using transfers either, I also would like a crash course about waxes, I’m a top coat user, just because I like my pieces to have a durable finish, please explain the durability of waxes in your video as well. Thank you!
Yes I would love to watch a video on every detail of waxing, thanks.
First off I can’t believe how fast you got this piece done since buying it. And yes waxing videos please. Any knowledge I can soak up from you is always appreciated. Love this piece.

Transfers are soooo addictive! Love this!

You should!
No the color of the pulls looked so good with the Louie blue !!!
Sorry, I wanted to paint them this time.
Don't you just love the transfers?!!!! I've been using them for awhile and every time I list a piece it sells very quickly. Fastest 1 in 15 minutes. LOVE what you did. 💗❤💗BEAUTIFUL!
That's great to know. I hope this one sells fast too.
What an amazing new look to this piece!! Love the color!!
Please do make a video on waxing! Having a devil of a time working on a piece now. Love the transfer stencil! Thank you for such terrific ideas!
Nancy - It's NOT STENCIL, it's just Transfer!!!!
Beautiful. One of your most charming pieces.
I’d like to see a video or two deep diving into the waxing process. 👍
Thank you! Will do!
Turned out so pretty! You looked like you really had fun and enjoyed doing this piece.
Thank you so much!
Yes please do a video on wax. I always want to use a dark wax but get so intimated by it. That buffet makeover looks amazing!
Thank you!
Fantastic! Really love the instructions to prepare your piece! The details and design you choose turned out beautifully 💙
Thanks, Christina. That mean so much coming from you!
Christina Muscari ... what a thoughtful reply 🙏🤗 I feel the same about you just replying back lol 😂
Love your tutorials ❤️
I truly liked this DIY instructive video. So detailed and doable. Btw, your clear soothing voice makes it even easier to follow. I liked that you added narration during editing. I’ve subscribed to your channel and look forward more videos (especially the one about different waxes).Thank you 😊
Hi I would love a video on waxing especially on dark paint as mine always goes grey and liney instead of staying black
Yes please wax video.......fabulous piece ❤️👍🏼
That turned out great, love the transfer. Yes I'm still a cautious wax user a video would be great. Thank you.
You got it!
Gorgeous!! I love it. I love the color, the transfer, the classic techniques 🥰❤️💪

Uh oh...you've got the transfer "bug". Once you do one, you can't stop. Great job, looks awesome!
This is beautiful! I love watching your videos and would love to see one on waxing.
I’d love to see a dark wax video!!! I’m obsessed with your style! Thanks 🙏
You got it! Thanks.
I've always been scared of transfers too. I guess I'd better find a piece to use one on!
Great transformation. Love the transfer. Very nice, distinctive touch.
Definitely yes on the waxing video. That would be very helpful. I'm getting ready to fake my china cabinet I've been painting my furniture for a while but I can use a little extra information on waxing. Thank you so much. I love the buffet that you just finished, beautiful.
GORGEOUS!!! Always love your work!! You are an inspiration 😍

Wow that turned out super cute.
Just absolutely gorgeous piece!
This is absolutely amazing!!!! I want to try and do the same thing. I would be interested in a session just on dark wax. I watched this 3x
Yes! I would love to see a detailed wax video! I've never used wax before and would love to know how to properly apply it, thanks!
This is so cool and you answered my question about removing the hardware, I’m getting ready to do this very same thing on a dresser 🤗👍🏻👏🏻💕
yes, waxing with the black wax esp... thanks.I just ordered it and gilding wax
You inspired me. I had an old buffet that I was redoing. I got a transfer from re-design. I am also doing a church pew with a kneeling bench and on the back I am going to do an inspirational transfer!. Thanks.
Love to hear that!
I love what you did. I love that piece with that transfer.. I wish I had a place for that piece. Love, love, love it. Great job.
Truly love the look of this piece and the steps you took to achieve it 😍.
Transfers are fun aren't they?!
Have a great weekend!
So much fun! Thanks for watching.
You're such a daredevil, of course, we want an instruction video of it. It became beautiful. I always fall in love with the original piece and sigh if you start. Then I fall in love with the finished object again. Realy your power, I think. Thanks.
I love your easy to follow steps and never thought of using steel wool...will try that out next time
My favorite piece. Love the blue!
Beautiful Christina.
Love it! Can you still open the drawers without cutting the transfer?
The transfer is cut to allow the drawers to open, but it still looks awesome.
Yes, wax video, please. You make it all seem easier them it is.
You got it!
I loved it up until the dark wax but that's just my taste. X
Me too. I loved it before the dark wax.
I also did not like the dark wax. Would have preferred a gray wax instead of the brown. Love the piece prior to wax though!
Totally get it.
I bought some transfers after watching this. I love them!
So glad!

Ok, I love this ... ALOT !. Definitely going to give this a try !! 😍🥰
Just beautiful...can you just seal it with poly instead if waxing? Does that work?
You never fail to inspire me ❤️

Would I be able to flip my furniture if I use a transfer from a transfer company like yours?
Ps, I love the dark wax look you did here. It really gives it a old victorian vibe. Gorgeous effect.
Thank you Aimee
Why and when do you choose wax over polyurethane finishes and vice versa ? Yes I’d love a video on finishing these pieces .
Wow- amazing transformation. The transfer is very cool I have never tried one either. It definitely does elevate it. I would be interested to learn more about waxing in a tutorial. Like you did in your last piece with the desk applying a wax over a topcoat- would be interesting!
It is beautiful. I would love a video on using the waxes, colors, style - light - dark. Thanks.

Are you able to run the wiping rags through the washer or do you dispose of them?
LOVE this piece!!!😍
Hi Christina,
Thanks for a great video, what a super piece! Would be very interested in seeing a wax video :)
Thanks for the feedback!

What is your favorite chalk paint and wax? Do you prefer topcoats? Which one of those is your favorite? You are so talented!
My favorites are Dixie Belle, Jolie, and Annie Sloan. I like topcoats and wax- it just depends on the look I am going for and how the piece is going to be used.
Christina Muscari Thank you very much!👌🏻

Hi what is the difference/preference between an orbital sander and a regular square sander?
yes! lovely and a waxing video would be awesome!
Great video. It looks gorgeous. Could you do a video on all the possible different sealants and yes waxes. There were four different types of product you put on this item before it was done. Why did you use so many products? Want to understand what they are for. Also what product to use for what finish your looking for? Thank you.
Great suggestion!
Thank you so much. I will check them out
Please do!
@@ChristinaMuscari REALLY EXPENSIVE!! I just want to play around painting some furniture, will go with BOSH
Love this! Would you ever consider painting wicker furniture? I am in the process of painting a wicker dresser set and I am stumped on what to do with the wicker part. I was thinking of staining it but it seems hard to get into the crevices. Then I though white but I painted the wood part white. I don't want it all white.
I haven't done wicker but I have done cane. It's best to dry brush it. It gives it some color but doesn't glob the paint in the crevices.
Looks amazing as usual!!! Now I have to try a transfer.
Love it!!!
You should!
