I love the high feeling on your face while lifting the stencil up.. it's such a great feeling to see a passionate person talking about their craft or skill.
The pretty pink dresser with the metallic raised stencil has been my favorite piece that you have done, however this piece is a close second! It's like that perfect little black dress that you wear with your best gold jewelry! Love it! You are truly an artist not just a furniture painter!
This is what I was looking for to create interesting looks on all my 80's doors! Thank you for sharing brand names and tips. I will save so much money on doing my doors instead of buying new ones.
"Every time i do this i just get lost in my own little world and lose track of time" I absolutely get that! The Zone! Thanks Kacha for another super video ❤
Girl every time you make a video I start fantasizing about what pieces of furniture do I have in my house that will lend it self to a spectacular look like do you do!!
Beautifully restored . Tip for the wax polishing . Apply the wax and allow it to dry . It will make the polishing easier . Elbow grease is required for an amazing finish . That’s how we used to protect french furnitures back years ago .
All my kids are grown up, I'm soon to be divorced (it's right for me, I'm starting a NEW life!) selling our home, splitting the money and.... I can't wait to be in my new home - where ever that will be - and going to paint up a storm with my old furniture... How does it feel knowing you've given incredible, positive, creative, happy ideas to this Irish woman? Yes, You!! Thank you SO MUCH for uploading all these wonderful tutorial videos... I'm in creative heaven 💖💕
Thank you! Thank you! Like most people, I'm on a tight budget right now and want so badly to try a raised stencil. Now I will. This is a wonderful video! ❤
Amazing transformation. Seriously black and gold is a great combination. I’m a more basic white simple and softer color girl with flat finishes but appreciate this ipiece is stunning. You are truly talented! Thanks
@@virtuallyme2518 Sorry, but no sorry. Being negative and envy of someones obvious skills and talent is not just voicing an opinion, but often hiding behind a fake profile with no courage to show ones real face, it's pretty miserable and pointing out on having some serious issues.
Just a tip from an art student. Applying your glass bead bell with an old credit card makes for very easy and smooth application. Much easier to manage than a spatula.
I love watching your educational videos. Thank you for sharing your talent to the world. You have a wonderful presence , it commands respect, full attention, a wealth of infinite information! Thank you!
Hello Kacha, I would like to say thank you for share your amazing work with as. I can see your videos all day long because your work is amazing you are one artist, well done. I have been learn lots of the things with you thanksgiving, Paula
I just bought a brand new dresser set to ship to me soon but as soon as it gets here I’ll be returning it bc now I’m shopping for old used pieces so I can restore them. I love your vids and I made sure to subscribe so I have options once I find my dresser. Thanks for these videos 🙏🏽
Kacha this is really stunning. You have just saved me a lot of hours searching for a cabinet to go with me new furniture. Now i can just purchase a cabinet from IKEA and replicate what you have just done. Thank you so much for what you do and share with us. Stay well. Shirley from the UK.
I absolutely adore your videos! I wanted to say that you can buy the glass beads seperately (loose pour) from most construction supply companies & they are of a reflective material! Think like, reflective street signs! They are absolutely beautiful & can even be added to regular bead wax, glue or paint to give a 'twinkly' sparkle effect. I've used them on reflective mailbox designs & other yard ornaments. You can mix them in any clear or semi clear base. Just wanted to put that here, in case anyone might be interested. I'm a newly single mom who's worked as a union laborer for years. I was laid off of work in November & it doesn't look likely that work is going to return. Ive joked with my brothers at work that imma open an 'Etsy' type shop to upcycle furniture, so I can love my job!😊😊 Soooo, my time has come! 😁🤣🤣 Watching your videos gives me inspiration everytime! Thanks so much for sharing your talents & enthusiasm! Much love to you & yours! Be well & stay safe! ❤❤
THAT was FUN!! Very, very cool! And your enthusiasm and obvious joy in your work was truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing these techniques! Blessings
Your amazing thank you for sharing! I would like to ask you how do you determine weather to wax or use polyurethane on your painted piece?thank you again
I saw your video a few days ago and never knew all this existed. Have done furniture renovations in the 1970s and 1980s, but it was a huge amount of hard work. Découpage took forever to finish. Tt east 15-20 thin coats of shellac over the paper, lightly sanding between each coat until the surface was glass-like. It was too much work and you could not get any decent money. Now I learn from you all the wonderful products on the market and I have 3 old furniture pieces that I just hate the dark color: an old, beautfiully working gandfather clock, a walnut cabinet and an American pressed wood kitchen cabinet with bevelled glass - perfect condition all three, but way too sombre-looking. Already planning on the colors, cleaning stuff, waxes, stencils and/or decals. Thank goodness I ound a couple of companies that carry products here in germany, that you also have recommened. Thank you - you are not only very good at what you do but also very charming and beautiful.
Okay the 11 dislike giver must e burning with jealousy 😂my god this is so beautiful I am going to hunt used furniture to start to learn how to paint like u 😍😍😍
Love it, and thanks for the tip about the black wax and t-shirt. I want to do my son’s desk in black and this video really helped me understand what to do to make sure it doesn’t turn into a hot mess.
Your work is elegant and imaginative. I am looking around at my tired old furniture right now wondering how I can do even one of your amazing techniques.
Kacha, you are so cute and fun to watch - I started stenciling in 1980 and fell in love with the ability to transform my room and furniture with minimal cost and time. I enjoy you and your projects very much - you've inspired me to dream up some new and fun projects for my little Cottage on the Bay. Keep on "dabbin and gabbin" - we love you!! I love it. It is absolutely fabulous. You have wowed me from the inside out. I am so impressed. I would love to try to do this. I have fallen in love with your creation. With your mind, heart, and hands you create magic. You are a very talented lady. I appreciate you very much. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. The world would be lost without you in it.
This is so gorgeous. I plan to stencil a navy dresser, and I need it to be different and better than the one I already did. I was going to use metallic gold, but now I think I should mix it with the spackle I have for a raised look.
Very well done. It gave new life to an old outdated piece. I can only think that the thumbs down are from people who's taste in color and style are not this style or color. You can't really criticize the quality and method of your work if your honest with yourself.
I don’t usually comment on RUclips videos... but this definitely deserves a comment. The finished product looked absolutely gorgeous! Wow , super creative and super talented!
Kacha, Most of my furniture is black at is chipped and needs redoing and now you gave me a great idea. Thank you. Yours turned out to be a beautiful piece
A quick tip about using stencils. If your stencil has a repeating pattern that you want to line up just use the unpunched section to line it up with the previous one you've already done. You can see it on the right side of the stencil at 9:09. Hope this helps.
Kacha you are amazing. I am working on a dresser for my granddaughter and I will be using glass bead gel for the first time. Wish me luck! I hope it turns out half as fabulous as your piece! 😍
I love your videos! You truly inspire me!!!! I also like that you show that you don't have to spend a fortune to make something that beautiful! You give me something to look forward to every Friday!!
