    Funny hearing how a manual locking hub as an upgrade seeing every old truck had them. It was a thrill when we were kids in the 70's to get out and "man our hub" on my uncles GMC.

    just drove my 07 jk across the country stopped in at teraflex. the front desk lady was very nice. took me on a tour. apparently a lot of idiots like me do this. teraflex has no onsite shop. it's like getting to a closed wally world or seeing a giant Mormon church and seeing how real MONEY is spent, its like going to the Jeep factory and finding out no one cares about your Jeep, it's like going to see the wizard and behind the curtain is an empty film set and the never ending pursuit of a Jeep you'll never have. it's like going to a apple factory and seeing the next iPhones for 20 years. with all that money they should have a pit stop shop and or a place to add their parts. speaking of a wallet drain you probably need financial department for the upgrade in this video. some people want to maintain their Jeeps. the dealerships suck, very few people can do this on their own and finding the right people to do this work costs the same as buying another Jeep. I learned to have a lot of money if you wanna meet your hero's. Enjoy your new compound and give the front desk lady a raise. I appreciate the stickers and key ring.

    wow, IF you you made these for XJ D30's you would have atleast one customer lol! aren't TJ D30s the same as XJ HP D30s? If so I think alot of people would be very interested... I really don't want to change my front D30 in my XJ (it already has a LA kit, hydro assist, and chromealoy shafts- your kit would be perfect for my needs (new stub shafts, keep the cromo's, get unlocking hubs, and FULL FLOAT! without needing to swap axles!(long arm axle swaps are more complicated). While on the rear, I'm not so concerned, I can much easier swap a Ford 8.8(leaf springs) if I need to (I have a 8.25) and don't feel the need for a kit like this in the rear... I just love the Idea of the extra 'insurance' for my D30 that's already custom built/set up, and nicely fitting in my Jeep.

    TF, can you (or any other helpful Jeeper) give insight as to whether one of these rear kits would fit the Dynatrac PR60 Semi Float axle housing?
    All that would matter is rather the spindles first correctly, right?
    I’ve got a SF PR60 sitting on my garage floor that I need to decide what to do with. I’m tired of looking at it!

    • @teraflexsuspensions
      @teraflexsuspensions  4 года назад

      I want to say it will fit as long as you have the correct spline count for your locker and our shafts. But you will want to confirm dimensions directly with Dynatrac to be certain.

    • @teraflexsuspensions
      @teraflexsuspensions  4 года назад

      @@stevemartinism Not sure if he was talked to or not, but we like to use a 4.5" or less total backspacing (including offset) to clear frame side components and re-center. Depth of where the hub sits in your rim will depend of Rim width. From the wheel mounting surface on the hub to the outer edge, it's about 4.75". Add the rotor width and the bolt heads I would say it sticks out around 5" from the WMS. Use that to make sure your rim and tire combo would be further and you are good to go.

    I was looking into getting some portal axles, do they work the Same?

    • @AUSSIEGARAGE_YT
      @AUSSIEGARAGE_YT 6 лет назад

      Steven Celmer no, a portal axle system would require drastic changes and may not work well with this kit. Portal axles will drop down using a gear reduction in most cases from the hub, Which in the majority of cases will require a different front hub assembly and require a more proprietary axle shaft. I'm sure this kit could be made to work with portal axles but I doubt that they would bolt straight up.

    • @dre04mach
      @dre04mach 6 лет назад

      No, portal axles have a gear reduction box on the ends of the axles that further multiply the gearing... and move your wheels lower than the center of the pumpkin, effectively raising the pumpkin out of the way. Waaaaay more expensive but vastly better design. This is a poor man's dana 60 alternative... one that honestly should come stock on a rubicon.
