  • Today I will show you how to bake the best honey sweet rolls EVER!! They are really easy to make and delicious! I bet you can't eat just one!! I hope you give these a try and Thanks for watching!!
    -For The Dough:
    1/4 C. Warm Water (100 - 110 degrees)
1 (1/4 oz.) Envelope Active Dry Yeast
    1/3 C. plus 1 Tsp. Honey (divided)
    1 3/4 C. Milk
    2 Eggs
    1/2 C. Butter
    3 Tsp. Salt
    6 1/2 C. Flour
    -For The Honey Butter:
    1/2 C. Butter, Softened
    1/4 C. Honey
Mix yeast, 1 tsp. honey and warm water in a bowl. Let stand for 5 minutes. Meanwhile place milk and butter (cut into pieces) in a bowl and microwave for about 3 minutes or until butter is melted. You don't want it too hot or it will kill the yeast. While that microwaves measure out your flour in another bowl and add salt. Whisk to break up any clumps. Add eggs and rest of honey to milk mixture and mix well. Finally add half of the flour to your yeast and about half the milk mixture. Mix together. Then alternate flour and milk until it is all gone and forms a sticky dough. Next knead dough for 8 minutes. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. Then punch dough down, transfer to a greased bowl and cover again. Let rise for another hour. Finally divide dough in half and cut each half into 12 pieces for a total of 24 rolls. Grease 2- 9 x 13 inch pans, place 12 rolls per pan. Cover pans once again and let rise for 30-45 minutes or until double in size. Bake rolls in a preheated 400 degree oven for 10-12 minutes of till golden brown. Brush tops with honey butter after they come out of the oven.

I just made these. They are so good! This must be a very forgiving recipe. I made the mistake of putting the milk honey and eggs all at once and then the flour and salt all at the same time and it still came out great! Thank you.

I made this and it was Soo yummy. I did change the temperature to 385 and baked it till it was nice and brown. Color and tasted better after I changed the temperature. 400 temperature was too high. My rolls came out too dark on the top and sides too pale. At 385 it was perfect. Thank you, this will be my go to from now on❤️

    • @sherrymcneal476
      @sherrymcneal476 5 лет назад

@@terrytomesko2598 I made the dough the night before and placed in the refrigerator The yeast will continue to rise in the refrigerator so I inserted straws into the dough to release excess air which kept the dough from growing over and out of the bowl that it was in. This worked out great. I let the dough rise again while coming to room temperature but you could form the rolls and allow them to rise in your cake pan. I learned the hard then formed the rolls and let them rise again. way that I should not try to bake more than 12 in a cake pan. I also baked mine at 375 for 17 minutes rather than what this recipe recommends.
Every one raves over these rolls.

Just got a KitchenAid for black friday, and I have been looking for a recipe for the yeast rolls you get at Golden corral.
I tried couple of recipes and all tasted too yeasty, too dense, or both.
Just tried you recipe. I divided the recipe by four, to try out
The dough was very very sticky, not at all like you had. However, with sufficiently lubricated hands, it was easy enough to portion.
It baked beautifully, tasted great and was fluffy, but no where near as fluffy as Golden corral (I wonder what is their secret)
The wife thought it was too salty, but I disagree.
I will be making a big batch tomorrow and freezing the dough after the second rise for later. Hopefully that would work.
    Thank you for the recipe

They did not all brown like yours but I blame my oven for that. They were all cooked through though. I tried to post a pic but I guess I can’t through here. Bummer.

If you spray your your utensils before you put the honey in the honey will slide right off also making it easier to clean your your tonsils just a little tip in case you I also applaud your thrifty since you know how mechanics you save yourself a great deal of money a large stand mixer from KitchenAid is 500 plus dollars and you are correct from the metal tools to the plastic and they still have the nerve to charge that kind of money for plastic.
