I'm in the freight industry clearing ecommerce coming into NZ, and since Temu arrived, our volumes have gone through the roof. As opposed to Wish or Ali Express, receiving the item is so much faster and with no delivery charges. I also have a friend (doesn't work) who literally buys stuff off temu almost every day. His whole lounge is full of Temu gadgets, clothing and other cheap products
Temu came out when Wish was on a decline. When i first saw temu ads i as like "oh look a new wish" and thats exactly what it is. Just a tad more professional lol
I remember when I was a kid and I would see these cheap and nasty toys and then I would see toys that we of better quality and cost more. Whenever I see Temu or a similar company selling products that are really cheap and with very long listings, those cheap toys spring to mind as something that cheap can be made well or made following labour laws to the letter. There's this line from a TV show I watched years ago where one of the characters said "Beware of something bad pretending to be something nice" it applies to some many of the online stores that sell directly from the factory to the customer.
I just assumed all this was happening from the first time I saw it. Just had that feeling. Also, the sheer irony of having a temu ad show in the middle of this video really brightened my morning.
I downloaded Temu once, and it immediately just felt so sus and weird. Even when I was putting stuff in the cart, the prices would change, and the "discounts" would leave. I ended up just deleting it all because I didn't trust it

Major props too for calling out china, alot of influencers seem to just blindly love china.
Im still always ordering from it cause my life has barely started what infro would they take and also alot of stuff ive received so far has been great quality and came fast cause most stuff i order there is 30-40 cents
They know exactly what they are doing
@@sweetla4750sadly yes
Leftists sure do.
@@elisewildeboer7282Bank details, any and all personal info on your device and connected apps probably which includes emails, passwords, texts etc. That's just the first stuff that comes to mind.
Tht little tongue flick he did has me dying 💀🤣😭

caleb, if they try to go after you for this, fight it because you are in the right. keep the videos up and fight with all you have
My 66 year old dad likes to buy all that cheap Chinesium off their website and then is mystified why his card info keeps getting stolen lol
13:00 my subwoofer LOVED those boom effects.. jeZUs
The phrase "you get what you pay for." Speaks mountains when you consider the quality of the stuff sold on temu.
i am glad you mentioned that china is only pretending to be communist and aren't actually a communist state. which in of itself is an oxymoron. that's like saying anarchist fascism.
They’re authoritarian for sure, though.
Temu is great....i get all my half priced organs from them.
I get my feet off Temu 😊
🤣🤣🤣 Temu is where I get my gutter oil. I also bought a useless EV scooter from there that caught on fire in my garage. Great products 👍 lol
There's another Chinese site that sells legal rc drugs.
Thank you for talking about this! I agree with everyone saying the app always seemed shady. But first there was "just" rumors about them saving credit card information, so it wasn't really being flagged as much. I'm happy to share this video with friends and strangers on social media promoting/sharing temu as something positive
7:25 never thought i would hear "dark is the night" here!
18:57 not the skibidi toilet 😭😭😭 my brother has that 😰
That into was fire😎

I think it should be mandatory for everyone to have their own banana cleaner. Like I'm sure that thing can clean more than just bananas.
Can probably clean cucumbers too
*more than just bananas?*
Now THIS person's cooking
I just about fell out of my chair laughing because the first add as this video ended was for TEMU.
My distrust started with Huawei trying to basically make phones that do everything Temu is
😂 I love how his editor added the Team America song in there 😂 priceless
Thought I made it through with no Temu ad. They saved it for the end. 😂😂😂😂
Just bought my first sourboys candy!!! I got strawberry, sunshine slap, and blue raspberry! So excited! Love you oomp
Super glad I found your channel via Mutahar and the SomeOrdinaryPodcast Ompaville is just far too funny lol
What's even more scary is that I just recently got a new phone, and one of the apps that was already installed on there, was Temu.
0:02 Frankie must learn the ways of the force
I think LaoWhy86 and SerpentZA covered Temu awhile back on their ADV China or their own individual series. If you haven't checked them out I highly suggest you do.
Love those guys, highly recommend their videos as well when it comes to China
They are The BEST content creators related to those topics. Especially since they fully lived their life there for quite a while and still have many friends there & one of the guy's wife he met there during the days he worked in that security company job. They just have great insight. *Not just people talking about China but who are people who have never been there or lived there.. (which is what a lot of content is related to china) That's why i appreciate both their quality content.
To be honest, thank you for bringing this to light, this company always felt so shady to me, free products of expensive things? That just sounds like a big ol scam if you ask me. If something expensive is being sold for free, there is something that company isn’t telling you. Thanks for making this Oompaville, banger content as always (also amazing work you’ve been doing with your upload schedule, surprised how many high quality videos you are making so quick, epic work)

13:24 NOT ME GETTING A TEMU AD HERE AHAHAHAHA
That mesothelioma add took me back to jumping awake from nightmares as a kid and that's playing loudly on my TV I didn't turn off.
Oddly chilling.
Some of their products are amazing.
@@jeffreywyskiel6582 ngl, I've definitely bought a 'few' things from them lol 👀
The joys of consumerism. Everyone's addicted to cheap plastic chinese junk
@@jeffreywyskiel6582unfortunately temu isnt
Either obvious bots are obvious or people ought to just wear a sign that reads "Rube ripe for the fleecing" in neon lights.
Temu came out when Wish was on a decline. When i first saw temu ads i as like "oh look a new wish" and thats exactly what it is. Just a tad more professional lol
A Chinese company not being totally safe with users private information? Unheard of.
Save Frankie, buy Sunshine Slap!
I downloaded Temu once, and it immediately just felt so sus and weird. Even when I was putting stuff in the cart, the prices would change, and the "discounts" would leave. I ended up just deleting it all because I didn't trust it
They cannot silence him ‼️‼️‼️‼️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
Got a nice TEMU ad while watching this. Classy.
I know salty licorice is not popular in English speaking countries, but waht if you made some for Scandinavian counties. We would feel oh, so special and charmed. And you have at least 3 countries to tap into. I weould buy it out of novelty even. Maybe you can call it "Salty Boys"
I don't do Temu, don't do Tik Tok, for these exact reasons..
my mom uses TEMU religiously, and I keep telling her that one day she's gonna wake up with all the money wired out of her bank account, and she's just like, "But cool cool cheap stuff :("
Glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t get listened to because “cool cool cheap stuff” smh..
Just wanted to shout out your Sour Boys candy! Just tried the green apple flavor and loved it. Can't wait to bust into the strawberry soon. Thanks again!
I have explored Temu a bit but have never bought anything… I kind of figured something was up.
20:28 RARE JERMA MOMENT! POG
Oomp just spreading our cheeks and filling us with his seed of amazing content.
😂😂🤣
That is incredibly explicit but you're not wrong.
Oh my 😭
oh okay
And that’s why I don’t trust Temu.
Go, shawty, it's ya birthday
We gon' party like it's ya birthday
We gon' sip Bacardi like it's ya birthday
And you know we don't give a f*ck it's not your birthday
9:35 is pure gold
There is an absolute hilarity to following up "I can say what I want" with censoring "F*ck the government"
It’s only a matter of time before Temu comes for Microwave Society next.
They’re not even hiding it really.
Not sure how people don't get that places like Temu and Shein are bad companies with shady (and illegal) practices... At the very least, the more we buy cheap and fast fashion the less quality products will be on the market for an affordable price.
Yo that was Charborg's song at 1:20. Neat.
I can say that I'm not surprised about TEMU.
