Seeing the pink sauce at my work (Walmart) made me go why. 1) the sauce was different shades of pink or not pink at all 2) had a whole end cap display no one bought it or very little was sold, so we put it on clearance from almost $8 to 80¢ then to 50¢ within a whole month or two. Heck we had many break and it smelled weird .-.
I shop at Walmart and have never ONCE seen a single bottle bought. EVERY time the shelves are FULLY stocked and untouched 😂

When she said "you're not special" I got secondhand embarrassment. I used to know so many people that talked like her and used that exact phrase, and what they really mean is "you're not special, but I am". And funny enough, right after she says that she tells a critic she should have personally reached out to her and given her free advice instead of criticizing her product... you know, like special treatment

She claimed she had a restaurant, but rented a certified kitchen (before the pink sauce), but it didn't last long. Her and the people working in the space weren't trained or certified in food safety/handling.
Not saying she can't call herself a chef, but she could have at least knew the basics of food safety, she would have been more believable and would have probably avoided all this.

The talk show made another episode which Chef Pii and karamo apologized to Alli, although it was not even a respectable or meaningful apology 🤦♀️ they actually never even apologized and kept asking if alli felt gaslighted, they made the whole topic about gaslighting and made alli apologize to THEM which obviously angered a lot of people. Karamo deleted the episode of chef pii and him gaslighting alli before even apologizing.

Edit because people keep mentioning it: Yes, I know DG stated they won’t pursue legal action because they wouldn’t get their money back, that wouldn’t stop them from garnishing her wages for the rest of her life as recompense for deliberately lying about them.
As you can tell, they are really nice. I think they will only take her to court if she continues running her mouth about them.

In that statement, Dave's Gourmet actually said that they wouldn't proceed with a defamation case because they know they wouldn't be able to claim the damages from Veronica Shaw. Basically, they exposed her online because they knew she was too broke to pay damages.

Dragonfruit as a colorant, without added preservative, is not shelf stable. That is why there are so many variations of color that you see of the Pink Sauce in the store. What's-her-face didn't want them to add preservatives or anything like that (at least according to her), so this is what happens. 🤷♀️

She doesn't know how to formulate. Theres plenty of natural preservatives including potent well-researched ones that are becoming more mainstream like rosemary extract. I believe she also used honey which is preservative in nature but when you make a concoction with dairy products and random ingredients you cant expect much.
They added preservatives, to make the product shelf stable, the color issue is partially due to variations in the fairly limited supply of dragonfruits.

I know I saw an interview with her where she said that she directly worked with them on the formula because Pink Sauce is her legacy and she wanted it to be all natural ingredients. I feel so bad for the lady who wrote the review in this. It’s so insane to me that people were ok with that. Makes me sad honestly. The entitlement here is crazy.
This is a great example of "don't reward bad behavior". She was confrontational right off the bat and anytime someone would call her out, she cried victim to get her way. Whether she said this or not doesn't matter, but she was using her being a black woman as a trump card against criticism; which worked because so many people were defending her using this example constantly. Heck, an actual black woman who made a very successful sauce business (Mud Sauce) critiqued her and gave her free advice because she wanted to see Pii succeed, AND PEOPLE STILL TOLD HER SHE'S JUST TRYING TO BRING A BLACK WOMAN DOWN.
People gave her WAY more chances than she deserved, even after she showed her true colours (which was about the time she admitted she didn't even know what FDA stands for so never got approved, and still went on as if she was a professional but never did anything to show for it).
Dave was so eager to white knight a narcissist, and got what he ordered.

Very generous and kind of them tbh

The Pink Sauce just looks foul - either too runny, too chunky or just garishly pink (no condiment should ever be that color). The fact that anyone wanted to try this stuff - whether before or after she signed up with Dave's Gourmet - leaves me floored.
It seems like Dave just put it in a FDA approved facility and didn't change the ingredients.

@@thealmightyjack that's what I'm guessing too. Some dragon fruit have like a deep redish flesh and others are just white. Might be why colors inconsistent. Also the sauce, as proven by Ann readon in the past, is the most pigmented when is freshly made. After a while it starts slowly losing that pigment..

Broooo she doesn’t even know that you have to pay for your expenses before you can pay yourself. She doesn’t even know what it means to be a business owner or entrepreneur. No wonder Dave’s was able to allegedly rip her off so easily. This girls just dumb.
And she doesn't even understand that her personal expenses are not business expenses, not hers nor are they Dave's expenses. When she was talking about her royalties and "expenses" it really sounded like she was complaining about Dave's deducting the cash advances they gave her from her royalty checks. She for sure didn't understand that the money Dave's gave her for her "expenses" were just cash advances on her royalty checks. So when Dave's deducted from her royalties she thinks Dave's is deducting her "expenses" from her checks. She clearly has no idea what she is doing. She didn't understand you can't sell food items, prepackaged especially, without following and getting approval from FDA. She doesn't understand business, whether it's how they are run, how contracts work or are written, she doesn't understand finances, and I could go on and on. She is in way over her head and probably thinks she is the smartest person in all her dealings with Dave's and her "business".
Looks like Dave's are the one that got ripped off. They should've known better than working with a hood rat anyway
It’s insane Pinksauce even got a deal. Chef Pii literally put no work into it besides dying her hair pink and going on social media with it making 1 minute videos. Yet some how she did get a deal. Not just a deal but a great one, Dave’s was making it and distributing into many stores nationwide including Walmart. Then this woman bad mouths the company after having had already paid her $120,000 in a year. Most of which wasn’t even part of the deal, they just gave her more, and more because she begged. And she still had the nerve to talk bad about them….that’s crazy, hopefully she loses the deal, and never finds another investor. She seems completely undeserving of what she’s been given. Plus the way she talked to the woman who reviewed her sauce was also just grotesque. Chef Pii is a real B.
It’s because there’s been a huge push by society and our government for years to support small business owners of color instead of going strictly based off of the things that should be taken into consideration. Same with college and jobs.

I don't think she even realizes the miracle it is that DG chose not to pursue legal action, especially considering they likely would have won a defamation lawsuit and potentially a defrauding one as well. Almost any other company would have made her life a legal nightmare over it just because they could.

We had some very creative ideas for innovative apology videos up until now - interpretive dances and a 10 minute ukulele song come to mind. I think she could easily get off the hook by adding onto that banger list with an advanced calligraphy video where her pink sauce serves as ink as an apology.

When i look back to the second Karamo interview, i now realize it was a lot more than an "apology" and advertising Pink Sauce.
He was making fun of Ali. The way he says "I'm sorry i gaslit you" has always got to me and i wasn't completely sure why other than it was a crazy thing to just say. It was because he didn't mean it when saying it (which, ya, of course we know) and meant to be condescending. I mean he admitted to gaslighting her, and IMMEDIATELY followed it up by celebrating Pi.
He didn’t do it because he wanted to fix the backlash (at least not solely). He did it as a smack in the face to Ali and the people who were with her. I mean, why wait so long and finally decided to do it after Pi got a brand deal? It was to shove it in people's faces that he was "right".
This is the best way to describe what i mean with what he says:
