I had a young pregnant freezing cat in my back yard. Took her in, had kittens and got her fixed. Put an add in the paper for the kittens. Turned out that I knew 5 of the folks that took a kitten. The last was a young girl that cried with joy when she saw her kitten. Got a letter from PITA explaining to me what an absolute piece of 💩 I was. One of the most horrible and awful people that was ever born. Sounded like I gave them to dog fighters for training etc... I guess they wanted me to leave her in the yard to freeze
At-least you didn't do what some people did and give them the kittens. I heard a time once when someone did that and went back to get one of them for a friend, and it was only 20 minutes at the shelter before PETA had already killed all the cats. It's horrendous.
I do dog shows and PETA has been known to throw broken glass in dogs crates and show rings, let them loose from their crates, and try to poison them. It’s disgusting that anyone could deliberately harm animals and proceed to claim to help them.
They used to just spread rumours like how in China there are those farms where they harvest a specific luxurious fur that comes from bunnies where PETA said they rip the fur off them, while the industries in China proceeded to talk about the logistics and prove them wrong. It's not surprising they'll go a step further just to try and make it more obvious companies like yours could be evil, while also forgetting they can be caught doing it at the same time.
Let's not forget that Peta thinks that working dogs (that love their jobs and are loved by their handlers and family mind you) are "enslaved and abused" and "didn't ask to be born". Their solution? That we should rely on other people instead, and people with disabilities should just have a human caretaker instead (because we all know a human can smell changes in someone's blood sugar before a dexcom can)
HAS THERE EVER BEEN A CASE WHERE AN ANIMAL HAS ASKED TO BE BORN? we’re animals and we did not ask. animals eating animals is normal. I don’t think Cannibalism is that common but idfk the animal kingdom all too well.
If anything treating ur dog like a cave trogledyte with no other purpose than sleep and eat, is actually more damaging to the emotions of an animal than having a purpose
What worse about the chihuahua situation is that PETA had been around beforehand and had met with the family who confirmed that yes this is their dog her name is Maya. They then came around later, tried to tempt the dog away with biscuits and when the dog didn’t want to leave with then just grabbed her, stuffed her into the van and then killed her that same day.
Peta once dumped a bunch of salt water dwelling lobsters into a fresh water lake to "set them free." They all died within days, and the organization was fined for dumping hazardous waste.
@@sachinraghavan4556But they have euthanized animals tho. They claim it's humane but in my eyes it's pure hypocrisy from them considering the whole reason why they created Peta in the first place was because they were against such things.
Ingrid saying she is opposed to "purebred" human babies and comparing it to purebred dogs makes me think she wants people to have half-human half-animal children...
That was exactly what I was thinking too, I literally couldn't think of what else she meant by that. I don't think she did mean it that way but what strange phrasing 😅
PETA also send out demands to the city of Hamburg, Germany, to rename because of the association with hamburgers. The city existed for like 1,200 years before hamburgers were invented?
Why didn't I know this hilarious fact about my birth city, when did this happen? Might have happend after i moved to another country, would explain why I didn't hear about it.
peta kidnapped my blind friends service dog from his house i had to go to one of thier slaughter shelter to get his dog back, the worst part of it was the dog still had his service jacket on and service dogs are classed as an extension of the person they look after
That's why I always hated PETA because I LOVED Steve Irwin. He has done so much for animals that PETA could only DREAM of accomplishing even just HALF of what Steve had! Also, South Park introduced me to PETA and I didn't like them because of SP but Steve Irwin made them enemy number one in my eyes as a kid. And I LOVED animals! Well, I still do.
That clip of the woman saying 'I'd be a vegan wolf' just reminds of a video I saw where someone brought in their 'vegetarian dog' into a studio and without her consent brought in 2 dishes for the dog. One with meat, the other with vegetables. It went for the meat IMMEDIATELY with no hesitation. You can't break animal instincts.
9:50 so PETA’s ideal shelter is… a cat cafe? I guess there’s an alternate universe out there where PETA is well loved and respected for running cat cafes throughout the country.
At one point, a PETA-affiliated group of people broke into a mink farm near my mom's home town and proceeded to just let all 10,000+ loose. Keep in mind they were basically captive-bred, with NO SURVIVAL SKILLS/INSTINCTS. most of the mink were killed by cars, as the farm was near a highway. the others that somehow survived this were essentially guaranteed to die in the coming days, either from starvation, dehydration, predation, or vehicle collision. they had no chance of survival, and were basically 100% doomed to a painful death :(
Those that survived and became invasive species though have wreaked havock on the ecosystem. Where I'm from the mink have brought multiple species to the endangered stage and there's basically nothing that can be done.
@@NicrophorusVesp In new zealand they have a very pita friendly presentation about helping the environment and saving the native species. Then they ask for donations. We all know u don’t care about animals. Just say the real reason you don’t like Peta. Because they bring light to animal abuse something you support vehemently.
I still remember when people supporting PETA where trying to tell me chickens are vegans. They did not like when I pointed out that chickens will eat anything including insects, snakes, mice, and their own eggs.
No they’re freaking cannibals I had show chickens and they would literally eat each other sometimes. I had to separate a lot of them just so they’d stop.
As someone who worked directly with commercial dairy farming for years, I can solidly countermand nearly every argument they have against the industry in the US. I cannot speak on slaughterhouse conditions as I have not dealt with that side directly before, but having spoken with USDA, FDA inspectors, and people who regularly work with that side, most of the footage of the abborrent slaughterhouse stuff comes from nations with little to no regulatory consistency or enforcement. At the end of the day, these animals are worth more when they're cared for properly. Abused, or improperly cared for animals are worth nothing and are a waste of money. In an industry where the profit margins are getting narrower by the day, it is in everyone's best interest to care for and treat their herd with the utmost care possible.
What occurs to me is a lot of farm animals would become extinct if they weren't used for food. It's not like a cow, chicken, sheep or pig can survive long term on their own out in the wild. I struggle with the industrialisation of meat production but am not opposed to meat consumption as such. But I'm not sure animal welfare groups have fully thought this out.
@@UglyFux Actually☝️🤓: PETA had once hired arsonist Rodney Coronado to have a group of PETA supporters destroy and vandalize houses to support their claims. And that's not mentioning how 90% of the animals in their shelters are euthanized.
PETA IS THE CLUB THAT HAS GORGEOUS WOMEN SLEEP WITH HORSE TRAINERS FOR MONTHS ONLY TO FIND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This a real thing that actually happened, so they filled their horse racing video with what seemed like secretly shot video of antibiotics, and other medicines that are only helpful for happiness/livelihood of the animal (these are left in the open in every race barn). Maybe they should consider their members actually respecting themselves, but big ups to the trainer for batting out of his league for those few months.
It's one of the reasons why the other founder of PETA left the organization because he feels like they haven't saved enough animals and he also disagrees with their tactics
My family was going through a lot of mess (multiple family members in and out of hospital, on death bed, etc) when I was in middle school, and so we decided to give our dog up because we just couldn't give him the attention he needed. Peta was the first number my mom saw. Week later the news segments of dumpsters of dead dogs and dead dogs piled on back roads started.
Its so contradictory too. They come off as “animals don’t deserve to die and be eaten for you!” Which is a respectable position to have, and the fact that they also think “your pet dog is better off dead” not even exotic animals, like that in itself is a thing, but fully domesticated animals 💀
@Chadekaful okay what about people who have pets instead of kids. I'm sure kids take more resources than a couple pets. Also PETA has literally kidnapped animals off of peoples porches and murdered a child's dog..

My gf wanted to join PETA back in the early 2000s and what she witnessed was a bunch of rich spoiled kids running the show. That explains to me how they keep getting away with all this, they are literally the offspring of corrupt lawyers and judges. Needless to say my gf didn't stick around for long. She was majorly creeped out by the sociopath vibes and the fact that the luxurious office building they owned, was more used for parties rather then organising any actual operations to help animals.
There is more chances that was a money laundering scheme with a youth club for spoiler rich kids who doesn't wanted to feel bad for been rich or wanted to cosplay as activist than actually anything relate as a ONG?

PETA is crazy. Did a report about them once, in a college class...it was for debate. I had to go against PETA and me, being a tiny little baby, thought it would be impossible, because they help animals! How can they be bad? It was a ridiculously easy win. 🤣
I work at a wolf sanctuary. All of the animals are from the pet trade, rescued. We lead tours and do tons of outreach on how wolves aren't pets, and keeping the wild wild. PETA has tried to have all of our animals euthanized instead of living in the sanctuary.
Mary Beth Sweetland, at one time the VP of PETA, is also a diabetic and a user of life saving drugs that wouldn't exist without animal research. When confronted about this blatant hypocrisy she basically said "I don't see myself as a hypocrite. I need my life to fight for the rights of animals" as if it's inappropriate for anyone else who isn't.
We need to find alternatives to animal testing, if you're in a life or death situation you have to use these drugs, she didn't have a choice. It's a tragic choice but she couldn't live without it, we have to find ways to make sure that doesn't happen.

I know they’ve also stolen trained service dogs, too. They’ve been in a LOT of legal trouble, but their followers are just as evil and brain dead as they are so they’ll unfortunately never go away.
Yeah that’s the most they can be charged with. And should be. Animals are only considered property still and doesn’t look like it’s changing anytime soon based on my experience in vet med abuse cases.
I've been born and raised on a farm, so a farmer's son. I respect animal rights organisations and their ideals and do believe that the bio-industry needs to be changed. But I ab-so-lu-te-ly HATE Peta. Why you ask? Well, they hate me just for being the son of a farmer, for loving my father. Give hate and you will receive hate back. Simple as that.
I am a vegan and have not eaten meat in 20 years and I also absolutely HATE Peta. They make normal people look insane and they do not represent my views. Their tactics are ridiculous and will do nothing to help the cause. You cannot change people's minds with hate and shame. Most of my friends are hunters, fishermen, and farmers and I love them the same as if they were vegans
Yes, as a vegan I realize organizational change is more important than personal diet, buy I'll still do my part. It's kind of depressing that people care more about eating meat than the future generation of humans, but I'm not going to treat someone differently about it.
9:23 since peta likes doing the whole “walk a mile in their shoes” thing, imagine being a defenceless child playing in your yard, when somebody you don’t know takes you from your loving family and then kills you in cold blood, but it was for your sake and it was a mistake so it is completely okay.

its funny cuz even herbivores need to eat meat for nutrients sometimes. lots of videos out there of cows, horses, and deer eating things like birds and snakes. it's almost like a broad diet is something that every animal needs
The pigeons used during a shooting event are made out of high-visibility colored clay. Basically an upside down saucer in shape, the launcher slings them away with their "cup" side down, where their spin causes them to float out like a Frisby. There are no animals used in pigeon shoots.
I thought that it was like when they release doves at weddings and was like “that’s horrible” and then he mentioned the spring launcher. And im like “those DAs tried to free CLAY PIGEONS didn’t they”.
A pidgeon shoot in Britain would be similar to a grouse or pheasant shoot: a bunch of birds are raised in a farm setting and on a specified day in particular locations, usually a gunclub estate, the brids are released for paying participants to shoot and harvest. I dont care for it much myself, but Britain being one of the most domesticated locales on the planet i guess thats what/how they can experience bird hunting. Probably also a holdover from the nature of the historical royal hunts.
They do sometimes use actual pigeons, that's historically how it's been. They raise pigeons and then take them to a field and toss them into the air for them to fly ans then be shot. Using live pigeons has become very rare, although it does happen, releasing quail, pheasant and grouse that are raised in captivity to then be hunted is still fairly common. Bobwhite quail and Common pheasants are released often in the USA to be hunted.
I feel like Peta would have an anuerism if they learned that herbivores like deer, cows, goats, and sheep will eat meat whenever given the chance (Deer have been recorded snatching birds from mist nets and eating them alive, cows *and* deer have been caught eating dead snakes, deer have been caught feeding on human corpses, Sheep eating Tern chicks, etc).
Deer and other wild ungulates will also chew on bones like a dog to get the calcium. Its not uncommon to see a buck gnawing on its shed antlers to regain the calcium
In the case of deer, cows and goats, it's not really the meat they are after, it's the bones. They will do that to replenish their calcium levels by eating the bones.
I would agree with Oompa through his censored words, if one of my dogs got stolen and put down by PETA, I would train as a guns expert, and start my own John Wick revenge ark against PETA
Peta is so cartoonishly evil its almost hard to imagine they're somehow a real organization just allowed to slaughter innocent pets and nothing is done about it
They act like a sick parody of an animal welfare organisation, genuinely makes you wonder if they're taking corporate money to make activists look like clowns.
I don't know if it caught on in other countries but PETA Netherlands just made a statement that merry-go-round animals should be banned because they teach little children that animals are commodities you can use for fun. Like they also know caterpillars don't have wheels ffs.
I swear, this group is filled with nothing but a bunch of manchildren who couldn't distinguish between fiction and reality. Wait, did I just describing an average Twitter user?
Just going off statistics from a quick google search, PETA has euthanized 2130 animals (I don't know when this statistic is from), while the animal agriculture industry kills about 23.3 million land animals every day (the number would be much much higher if you included fish) that would mean that the amount of animals killed in slaughterhouses equals the amount that PETA has killed throughout it's entire existence in the span of 8 seconds. Think about that for a second. In one single day we are killing a number of land animals roughly equivalent to quadruple the death count of the Jewish Holocaust, something rightfully considered one of the greatest tragedies in history.

We had a night at my high school like a “meet the teacher night” so me and the other FFA officers brought some animals to the school to show kids a petting zoo type situation and talk to them about how they could get animals too. After about an hour some peta people showed up and started screaming and sitting near the animals and since they were making so much noise they spooked the animals (cows, goats, sheep, etc.) who started kicking them and showing distress. We kicked them out and got a lot of new members in the FFA.
They also tried to come to our school district’s barn, but there were kids there almost 24/7 so we ended up getting security to protect the animals because students spend upwards of thousands of dollars a month on these animal’s health and feeding.
Ah, yes. The final boss of Performative Activism. The best thing about PETA is seeing them being roasted online, especially on Twitter. I refuse to call it X.
Ironically, Peta's the best cover for sadists and burgeoning serial killers. Their members all seem like the types to sneak a 'starved' horse food, inadvertently killing it because it's on a limited recovery diet from colic (this has happened).
Yep, we lost a horse to a neighbour feeding a "starved" mare (she no pun intended ate like a horse she just never got much of a layer over her ribs) moldy hay, led to a case of colic my parents couldn't manage adequately to save her and dealing with the RSPCA for months.

TW: gore F peta. I requested cute lil stickers from peta at age 14 of cartoon chickens saying not to eat them, and they included a dvd with a video of raccoons being skinned alive. They use violent imagery so much. And seeing that, I thought part of caring about animals was watching that stuff. Glad I got out of that. It’s just sad bc I cared about animals and no one around me did, so I thought PETA would be that.
I’ve always had a hate for PETA and it started with the treatment of hamsters. I had researched hamsters for about 2-3 years and read that PETA had released hamsters in the wild. If it isn’t obvious, this is extremely bad. Hamsters have been domesticated, and are used to getting water from a bottle and food from a bowl. I don’t remember 100% but I’m sure that they died. I feel like me who did research for only a few years knows moe than a whole organization.
Even if they lived, depending on where they were released they could absolutely have destroyed the ecosystem there - look at goldfish, people released them into rivers and now plenty of places theyre INFESTED with hundreds of thousands of goldfish that are now the size of my forearm.
That's simply a reckless decision, if the hamsters were abused in captivity, I imagine from a lab, it's better that they get released. PETA is responsible for shutting down torturous labs and slaughterhouses, saving millions. Although they do some questionable things (note that their euthenisia rumor is propoganda by the Center of Consumer Freedom which is known for astroturfing), the purpose vegan ideology and animal rights stands.
@@kevinbarber2795 Owning Wild animals usually requires a license, even if the animal is really small. Domesticated animals usually require human assistance in order to survive, and if they don't have that then they will more than likely die. There are probably wild hamsters, but there is also wild sheep and cows and the domesticated ones need humans because Wild Sheep can shed their wool while Domesticated ones can't, and recently pregnant cows produce over 10x more milk than wild ones, which of course lack of milking leads to extreme pain or death. This definitely applies to hamsters the same way where if it's a domesticated one in the wild, it's probably going to either die to the environment or an animal they aren't able to defend against by instinct.
I remember being seven years old the first time I saw slaughterhouse footage. My mom made me watch a documentary and after was all “so do you wanna try being vegetarian with me?” I said no. THIS, the vast majority of animals that most think of as extremely abused are those it’s easy to mass farm. Even then the vast majority of farms not as bad as most of these people make it out to be, with the exception of chickens. Long lived animals with months long growing periods and especially animals also raised for other things can’t be mistreated like that and still have profit. No matter how money hungry a corporation or farmer is they can’t abuse them as much as many say. Sick and abused animals are bad for business. Chickens unfortunately are extremely easy to breed and have fast turnover rates, so they are keep in extremely bad conditions the vast majority of the time. Other then that just eat local and it’s nearly guaranteed the animal had the utmost care.

The thing with the pidgeon shooting thing, when shooting pidgeons it reffers to shooting clay frisbees, so they PURPOSEFULLY released living pidgeons on a firing range, the only connection is the name
The funniest part of the whole milk thing is that domesticated cows literally NEED to be milked or they will suffer and be OVER filled with milk. Dairy cows are well taken care of, if they aren't, stress and stuff will affect the milk
I think it’s just sad that domesticated cows have been bred to produce so much milk. It’s also not natural how many times they have to get pregnant. It all still feels cruel regardless of *needing* to be milked
This is strictly cause they're inseminated and forced to lactate, they wouldn't go through this if we didn't inflict it. Their calves are also seperated after a while so humans can harvest the milk that the calves need.

@morgan2338 Bro, just google videos of ppl sheering the sheep. It's brutal and abusive. Yes, they need to be sheered but ofc that's the farmers' fault in the first place. They kidnapped my dogs when I was in high-school and they spayed/neutered both of them. I have papers and licenses for breeding at that point . They took them on a Sunday which meant we couldn't claim our animals until business hours on Monday. They said sorry and got away with it because we were too poor to sue them.
Is that how it works? I remember a couple PETA members kidnapping a killing a Chihuahua that belonged to a little girl and got into an excessive amount of trouble and lawsuit over it. How much money are you supposed to have to fight against people who kidnap and mutilate your dogs?
Too poor to sue... But you had a breeding licence? I actually agree with PETA taking the dogs away and sterilising the dogs because you were going to breed and dump. I know exactly the person you are.
i feel the need to point out on most serial killer checklists being ok with killing pets and strays is 1 or 2steps away from starting. the fact an entire cult is at that step is terrifying.
I remember PETA saying something along the lines of "our approach is designed to shock people because it's better that people be shocked awake than remain ignorant of the problem". Well, the issue with that is that aggressively annoying people creates **enemies**, who will reflexively reject your message because of your assholish behaviour, even if they might otherwise have agreed with it or at least seen some merit in your point of view.
Yes. The first reaction people have to being challenged is to get defensive; you have to be very cordial to get them to open up and listen to you. PETA is so far in the other direction it makes me want to buy a leather jacket just to throw it away.
Pretty much the same with Just Stop Oil, BLM and the whole SocJus movement. As Razorfist once put it, "They radicalized the otherwise indifferent among us."
Absolutely nothing to do with the video, but back in my day, me and my extended family were eating dinner, and somehow the topic of PETA was brought up. One of my family members was like “wait what does PETA stand for???” And then, out of the blue, my mother, who up to this point hadn’t said anything, went: “People eating tasty animals.” So yeah, PETA now stands for People Eating Tasty Animals in my household.
Fun fact, maybe things have changed but I did a lil paper on feral cat populations and surprisingly enough Peta would rather euthanize feral cats over TnR ( Trap neuter Release ) . I think a part of the argument is that they completely destroy an ecosystem because they are an actual Apex predator lol but I found that once the TnR happens groups and organizations will band together and take care of these wild populations. Since it's a colony of cats, many newcomers come along and are able to be captured quicker than normal or at least observed and monitored. Apparently they do that for propaganda so they can say that a dog show has been doing cruel things to animals.
They used to just spread rumours like how in China there are those farms where they harvest a specific luxurious fur that comes from bunnies where PETA said they rip the fur off them, while the industries in China proceeded to talk about the logistics and prove them wrong. It's not surprising they'll go a step further just to try and make it more obvious companies like yours could be evil, while also forgetting they can be caught doing it at the same time.

its funny cuz even herbivores need to eat meat for nutrients sometimes. lots of videos out there of cows, horses, and deer eating things like birds and snakes. it's almost like a broad diet is something that every animal needs

Wait, did I just describing an average Twitter user?
What's strange about PETA is, for an ethical animal rights society, their body count exceeds some slaughterhouses in scope.
Because their take on "ethics" is pretty sick and twisted. As long as something is done in the name of forwarding their agenda, no act is off limits. They are unhinged zealots and cannot be reasoned with.

I think there are some wild hamsters, but that probably doesn’t apply to the kind we keep as pets.
@@kevinbarber2795they’re native to some parts of western asia and eastern europe if i’m not misraken
