Or at least not in the Catholic faith. It instead is a symbol used to honor St. Peter and the way he died. He was crucified upside down because he didn’t believe he was worthy of being crucified how Jesus was.

One thing mentioned in a 2 part documentary (The Siege on Waco, some footage from the doc was in this video) was that when Ruby Ridge and subsequently Waco began becoming an interest of the media, people started referencing Jonestown, and specifically that they didn't want a repeat of Jonestown. The government took the stance to so aggressively 'shut down ' the cult so as to not have the group turn into something like Jonestown. Which is somewhat morbidly ironic because this aggressive 'take down' led to more death than if they had gone a less aggressive route.
Comparing Ruby Ridge to Jones town is particularly nonsensical, since it was a family with two children and a friend living in a tiny shack. They weren't even part of the alleged white separatists they've been accused of. Even if they had been it wouldn't be justification for what they had done to them.

Just started this video , so idk if it is mentioned here, but Timothy McVeigh showed up on a hill about 3 miles away that people were watching from and witnessed the siege there. He was also interviewed by a college student in the area on that same hill. He went on to bomb the Oklahoma City federal building in 1995. I was in 2nd grade when that happened. I felt the bomb go off, and from my classroom window on the second story watched the mushroom shaped cloud from it form in the distance. I was less than 2 miles away. When he went to Waco he traveled from out of state. He also mentions Ruby Ridge in either his interview or later from prison. I don't remember which.
Oompa, can you pleeeeeeease cover Wounded Knee??? NOBODY EVER talks about that. Waco and Ruby Ridge were horrible incidents but those are the only two anyone ever talks about. I find it funny how our countries independence was partly based off of high taxation…
I was a senior in high school when this happened. I had such a horrible car wreck on the same day I didn't hear about it for several days. I don't remember much of the tv coverage but I do remember that day.
RUclips’s AI thingy where they put comments into different topics literally put this comment under the category “remembering columbine” as well as all the other like 10 comments that didn’t even mention columbine
@ that is weird! I had no idea
I'm for sure going to be singing "There's a mad man living in Waco" all week.
Two questions Mr. ville..
1. is the PO Box still open, I want to send you a Richard Simmons VHS
2. Are you hiring for any remote positions?
He's not gonna respond to this but...
1. Probably safe to assume it's not since it's not in the video description, but you can email and ask
2. If you're asking in a RUclips comment I seriously doubt you're qualified, but his business email is in his twitter bio
15:00 Frankie is so done with him 😂. Shes like "shut up! every day is the same it's annoying and concerning".🤣
I grew up in a small town about 10 miles from the compound. I was 10 when this happened and our middle school had us watch this live in the library everyday. Teacher told me this was going to be a big moment in history. It was scary watching it. This will always be tied to my childhood. Crazy
I love how every video oompa has a different silly little wallpaper for his computer
I was 9 years old when this happened and I remember it was the first news story I actually started paying attention to. F****** creepy
My biological mother, and grandmother were there prior to the raids. I don't know what all went on in the cult as I'm not particularly in contact with her, and wouldn't ask about it anyways; but my mother was abused and grandmother murdered there. Mother got out later on, but was unfortunately orphaned. Shouldn't have ended how it did, but it was definitely a bad place that needed to be shut down before the freaks got even more out of hand. No clue what the remnants are up to nowadays, but hopefully whoever is in charge isn't a maniac.
When’s the next grandma video?
Wait you haven't heard.....
(Somebody make a funny)

I feel like I've learned more about incidents like this from Wendigoon and Oompa than anything my history classes covered
Cheeky ebola fridge is wild
David writing a diss track in response to warlock allegations is wildddd
This was a very interesting and educational style of content that feels different than your usual videos. I really enjoyed it (despite the dark subject material). It would be cool if you continued to do videos like this. I’ve been looking for people to cover reading room material, if that’s something you’d be interested in. Some of the CIA’s declassified documents are wild.
27:38.... there is literally an ad on YT in the upper right hand corner, while I'm watching this, for the "universal fuel/oil filter tubes"...
Respect for the Bill Hicks reference! He always stated that the tanks intentionally set the fires during many of his stand up routines.
The irony of the FBI Hostage Rescue team attacking the compound with numerous innocent non-cambatants inside is astounding.
Almost like he was radicalized by the g o v killing all those innocent Americans.
You should’ve added the videos of the ATF agents celebrating afterwards, they’re actually insane
Thank you for your time and videos!! Love them look forward into seeing them daily
I can't get "there's a madman living in Waco" out of my head. Well done, Sir Oompa!
Oompa, can you pleeeeeeease cover Wounded Knee??? NOBODY EVER talks about that. Waco and Ruby Ridge were horrible incidents but those are the only two anyone ever talks about. What the FBI has done in Wounded Knee and how they framed Leonard Peltier, who is still being held as a political prisoner. That needs to be talked about as much as Waco and Ruby Ridge is covered.
Boosting this up as someone who isn't American and knows nothing about it other than it needs to be talked more and seems people were trampled down way too successfully
boosting - want to see this too as it was referenced but its not anywhere on youtube.
This.
🎶There's a MADMAN LIVING in WACO!🎶 🗣
Mad Man in Waco is a bit of a banger amirite
Babylon being the ATF is one of the most hilarious thing I have ever heard. Well done.
I love ommpa even if he just posted I keep checking like every 30 mins to see if there's something new ❤
44:24 What did they think a whole night of eerie, bizarre sounds would do to an apocalyptic cultist? I doubt there was a single sane person in that place at that time.
Happy you covered this
I’ve read about this here and there over the years since I used ruby ridge for an essay in school. I had no idea that they begged the atf to call it off and that the “bad guys” were really the only ones that tried to defuse and protect bystanders
Let's not forget the agents directly involved in Waco are now in charge at the ATF. Quite the message to send to the public today.
Every time i think about things the government has just openly and publicly done i feel like I'm in psychosis again and have paranoid delusions
I never realized until this video that Oompaville and David Koresh kinda have the same hair cut.
I rlly thought his song "There's a mad man living in Waco" sounded like "Did your boots stop working"...
Waco - 'We Ain't Comin Out'.
When he said that guy looked like Shrek and he does! 😂😂
Got that song stuck in my head, you got a beautiful voice oompa.
“Just kidding I’m jealous” same 😂😂
You're doing the Lord's work teaching your Fortnite Zoomer audience about Waco
Next week: Ruby Ridge
Maybe start sharing your thoughts on the ATF
He should have mentioned how the Davidians were molesting children..
OOMPA PLEASE do a series breaking down all these situations like Waco, ruby ridge, Granby and what not. I'd buy all the candy to see that.
i know some seventh day adventists and been to some sermons so it’s crazy to hear it attached to a cult
you should ask them about it directly
Some people take it to far and flee from the truth to gain power
I'm so poisoned by the internet, hearing David described as having a harem made me want an anime opening for Waco
Plz keep the Frankie exploding edits going it’s amazing
Oompa, thank you for confirming that I'm not the only one who watched that clip of Koresh with his guitar and thought, "the dude has some skill"!
I saw that clip a few months ago in some Waco documentary. For weeks, I was singing "there's a Mad Man living in Waco" out loud. At work, in public, wherever. Its a catchy hook! Bit of a weird tune to have stuck in your head though. One of my coworkers asked me if it was a Pearl Jam song I kept singing. I just told them "uuhhh. sure.. I think", not wanting to attempt an explanation of where it actually came from.
Because... you know. There's a MADMAN living in Waco...
Why did I think of Janet Reno when he said "beast of Babylon?"
You make my nights at work a little better listening to your videos. Make a dang podcast plssss.
It's like you knew I just watched Wendigoon and wanted even more
I just watched the when the goon documentary a couple of weeks ago. Did you notice if he mentioned the actual child brides?
@@WillyKillyahe did at least twice I believe
Really like his channel.
@@ethanwitt9662 I must have missed it but I often listen to youtube videos in the background while I Do other stuff so it's possible
"Keep Your Rifle By Your Side" hits different, when you know what's up.
THERES A MADMAN LIVIN IN WACOOOO
I’ve already seen the Netflix documentary on this but something about this video was just genuinely more interesting and enjoyable to watch
