Pet items are very good sellers at craft fairs I see that all time people love there pets! And your prices are perfect! They will be shot for sure!! That is a very smart idea!!❤️
Funny thing Deanna. Our friend who watches our dogs just came by today with these bandanas! I was so surprised when I say your post on making these :). The ones he had bought were the ones you slip the collar through. I have to say that I do like them better for our dogs. They are BIG dogs and I couldn't imagine putting another thing around their necks and having them keep it on. They don't mind them at all and have been wearing them for hours now. I would love to see you make this type of one, so I could see how you make them. Great idea with what you did though :) Again I was thrilled to see you make them on the same day we received some ourselves! Thank you and have a lovely evening!
My mom and I had a pet grooming shop many years ago (closed 20 yrs ago) and we made bandanas for the pets. We sewed a fold over that the collar could be run through, that way it was adjustable to the pet. I tried the elastic on my pets and it was not a hit but when I put it on the collars they didn't mind it. The pet moms loved the bandanas and we also made matching bows. We adjusted the sizes to the size as we groomed all size pets XS to sizes to fit a 150 lbs pets (and a few pet pigs). I think they will sell very good and be a money maker for you. We also did seasonal fabrics. Most of the fur moms saved the bandanas and let us know the ones they liked the best. Good luck on your fair sales.
Agreed, the elastic and pulling the bandanna over the head and ears might not make a dog too happy. The collar style or a simple soft triangle with Velcro closure might be a good idea. 🐾
I want to add these to my craft sales, too, so I'm going to ask my neighbors to try on the different sizes on their dog. Our cat didn't appreciate me trying one on her, ha ha!
I was going to make those also. I thought I would go to dollar tree and buy dog collars so that you can slip them on. That way I would know what size would work best. Your elastic idea is such a great idea!
I love the scrunchie style!!! I made one awhile back but it did not turn out this nice. I must try again. Thank you for sharing! These are selling really well right now, anything dog related is. Please dont let these go without charging your worth. I know you dont price your items very high, but these are selling for a good price. I just bought one for $25 and it was not interfaced or lined nor was it scrunchie style.
LOVE the ide of the scrunchie! Would probably be easier for the dog mama or dog dad to get them on and off ...gonna try a sample one in some flannel left overs I have.
I thought I missed the difference elastic size info too. Did she ever post how to figure out the different sizes? She mentioned the medium was 4x10 and a 6 inch elastic
I love this! My totally unscientific research about dog bandana preference as I walked around a craft fair last week was that in my area, dogs wear harnesses, so I was looking for a way to easily add a bandana. This might fit the bill. I will see how it goes when I offer both.
our dog is a medium/large and her collar is 21 inches. I thought I would give you a heads up to the size of what your making your Bandana sizes. I would look at the sizes of collars and shoot for the middle measurement!! :D
I would love to order a couple of them from you if you're interested in making a couple if you have time. My Poe is a very big boy. These look beautiful and very well made . Thank you Michelle

Did you have any luck getting cats to wear bandanas or collars?

what length of elastic did you use for each size?
I thought I missed the difference elastic size info too. Did she ever post how to figure out the different sizes? She mentioned the medium was 4x10 and a 6 inch elastic
Adorable. $10.
So cute
I love the pink dog fabric, where did you get it? I also am making Dog Bandana's for the first time for my craft fairs.
I like this and it's easy but how are you determining the length of the elastic?
As a crafter it looks gorgeous. But as a dog owner I'm wondering if that won't be a little stiff with the stabalizer.
gracias por compartir el molde.
Welcome!
