Thank you for sharing. Thanks God, there is no music in the background. And as some others already commented, you have a very clear voice, easy to follow demonstration, a different colour stitch so it's easy for us to see what you are doing, and you are very fast too. Great 😊
Great video. I'm a beginner sewer and made one tonight for my female whippet (I used 9" instead of 10"). Cricut Easy Press arrives tomorrow, so I've got the vinyl all ready to go. Thank you for this video.
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my login password. I love any help you can offer me
@Juelz Marco I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I just bought a circuit and had no idea you could sew the vinyl on fabric. Thank you so much for your tutorial. I absolutely loved this tutorial. Thumbs up 👍 for sure, subscribed with notifications. I definitely will be following this tutorial for more crafty ideas 💡
Thanks Susan, but you don't sew the vinyl on to the fabric, it is heat transferred with an iron. I've done another video where I've put some vinyl decals onto face masks in the same way, c x
The Crafts Channel Yes I know watching your tutorial. I made a personalized banana for my dog last night with a matching bow and it came out so darn cute. Thank you for the tutorial. Going to make a new one for her for Halloween 🎃
@@TheCraftsChannel hey there this is awesome! Can you show me how to personalize or design regular adults bandanas please. My email is gretaterrell@yahoo.com. thank you!
@@gretaterrell7690 Hi Greta, sorry I haven't got sizes for adult bandanas but I think if you start with the larger sized dog one it should be big enough. Then you can personalise on screen with the Cricut design software. Just remember to mirror the wording before you cut so you can flip it over to iron the vinyl on, c x
The design was downloaded from the Cricut Design Space. I'm pretty sure the heart and paws were as one and I just added the lettering. I filmed this quite a while back so can't remember fully but it might be worth searching for heart or paws in their library and it might still be there, c x
Loved this way - such a great tutorial! Will be trying this. Do you happen to have some kind of a chart of what size material to begin with for different size dogs? Or know where I can find one? Also can you speak to what material is best - it looked like quilting cotton. Thanks so much.
I'm afraid I don't have a chart, The 25cm square used fits my medium sized collie cross. I'd suggest you alter by 3cm at a time but if you're fitting onto existing collars the bandana size shouldn't be too much of a problem. Yes, it was quilting cotton, c x
Yes! It's covered with tin foil to start with, then a layer of cotton quilt batting, then cotton fabric folded over to the back and secured with sticky tape. It's perfect for tiny bits of ironing! c x
@@TheCraftsChannel that is awesome have you done a tutorial on making this? Have you thought about the metal bit might be handy when making bias binding?
I followed the same exact steps, but for some reason all the bandanas that I make have 2 different opening size. 1 side is wide than the other side. What am I doing wrong ? My square is perfectly cut, I line them correctly and I sew both sides exactly the same.
I really don't know. Maybe it has something to do with the fabric stretching too much on the diagonal. Without seeing it I'm not sure I can help. Do you have a friend who sews that you could show it to? c x
I'm afraid I don't. I don't have enough dogs to measure! My collie takes a 25cm square, I'd suggest enlarging and reducing that size by 3cm increments, c x

Omg! The glue tip! I’m a very beginner and those little seams are so intimidating to me! Is there any issues with it gumming the needle up, or the machine?
I love your videos....what sewing machine do you use? I want to make collars and leads so would want a good machine strong enough for this job. What do you recommend?
I tend to use a Janome HD2200 but I've also got a Janome Sewist 725S. Both would be fine for heavy duty fabric. If your budget is slim you'd be best to look for a metal bodied second hand machine rather than buying a cheap 'new' machine. I picked up a Janome for my daughter from a well known auction site for about £35 and a 150 mile round trip, but it was definitely worth it, she loves it, c x
When you sew the topstitch around the perimeter of the collar at the end, won't it interfere with the pinking shears seam finishing ( or any other finish? )
These are delightful. However I do t own a cricuit. Do you know of any crafter that would print a name or design off for me please ? My Grandfurdog is Darcy who I refer to as DQ and her fur friend is Bella so quite simple although a heart with a dog bone shape cut out would be just as nice. I’m so enjoying your tutorials. I consider myself trier of many crafts :aster of none.
I'm not sure whether you could appeal to someone on perhaps a facebook crafting group? I'm going to post this demo on our fb page in a little while, find us and try asking on there, c x
Which Cricut do you recommend? I'm new to this and my goodness they are pricey and trying to figure out which is best investment. Thank you. Love your video and plan to make these.
I have only used the Maker, which can cut multiple substrates. I have a friend that has a smaller machine that he uses purely for cutting vinyl as that's all he needs to do. I think they all work from the Design Space website so it will just be a matter of what you think you'll want to do with it. Do you know anyone that has one that you could try out? c x

I Just love the way you put the Bandana together. This is a no waste way to do it. Much better than cutting out a pattern.
Straight to the point and your voice is easy on my ears!
Ah thanks! I've got a friend that apparently listens to me when she can't get to sleep 😉c x

What type of vinyl is it?
Great VDO, I found your VDO by accident, good tutorial and I already subcribe. Thank you.

When ironing on your htv it’s best to use a barrier sheet like vellum or parchment paper instead of the hot iron right on the carrier sheet.
Cute idea!
Excellent 👌 tutorial thanks alot❣️
I sewed along and made my grandpup a halloween bandana! Thanks
brilliant, video, so clear and easy following, many thanks... what size would tou do for a yourkshire terrior?
Erm, maybe a 15cm square? After seam allowances and the channel in the top edge that shouldn't be too big, c x

@@TheCraftsChannel Would a Cricut Easy Press Mat work? Or does should I use a harder surface.
@@ireneguerra6143 An Easy Press mat should be fine, I think it's heat rather than pressure that transfers the vinyl, c x

Do u use transfer tape with that vynil
No, with iron on you cut it as a mirror image, flip it over and iron on the backing sheet which you then peel off, c x

It's so much easier! c x
Omg! The glue tip! I’m a very beginner and those little seams are so intimidating to me! Is there any issues with it gumming the needle up, or the machine?
I've never found it to gum up the needle or the machine, you only need a little bit just to hold the hem temporarily, c x

What type of fabric is used for these type of proje t?
I use quilters weight 100% cotton. Polycotton might be a bit too thin, c x
When you sew the topstitch around the perimeter of the collar at the end, won't it interfere with the pinking shears seam finishing ( or any other finish? )
It shouldn't do. I've never thought about it if I'm honest, just like to top stitch to keep a crisp edge without ironing, c x
What kind of cloth do you recommend to use?
I tend to use quilting weight, 100% cotton as it's quite hardwearing but soft enough to tie comfortably, c x
@@TheCraftsChannel thank you so much 💗

We've used 100% cotton quilting weight fabric but any mid weight woven fabric would work, c x
