- Anyone aiming for performance must invest the necessary energy to achieve their goals. Such is the price, paid in full by the Richard Mille teams who decided a few years ago to take on the thickness challenge in watchmaking. After dozens of prototypes and thousands of hours in R&D and laboratory testing, the 1.75 mm-thick RM UP-01 Ferrari is here to prove that the end result was worth the blood, sweat and tears it took to shave off the last few millimetres.

This watch is still thicker than strategy book of scuderia ferrari for sure.
Ahaha
😄😄😄😄😄
quasi funny
oh thats cold
LOL. You give them too much credit. They dont even have a book.
Does a wallet becomes even thinner after buying one?
the wallet vaporized 🤣
Lol
Vapourised
Wtf 🤣
That’s a good question
And then you need to buy the Richard Mille Microscope so you can actually see what time it is
Never been so interested on an ad, Beautiful piece of artwork!
Outstanding level of craftsmanship, engineering and technical superiority.
The only thing being exposed to a force of 5000G is the wallet.
Richard Mille's take on the G-Shock!
But gshocks aren’t thin. They’re thick lol. How so?
I can literally buy a Ferrari car on this watch budget !
I think you can buy three with that pricetag
LaFerrari
FANTASTIC.
Excellent designed in many ways, very impressed !
It cannot be counted as the world's thinnest watch, as the watch uses a separate winding tool that is not built into the watch.
Exactly. You have to count the tool width.
It can. It was normal to wind watches with separate tools back in the day. These also counted as "normal" watches so this approach is very traditional.
@@samuelmichelsen7196 Interesting. Can you provide a reference?
@@candidmoe8741 Here is one article discussing how pocket watches were wound with a key before the winding-crown was invented:www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/166672-keys-for-winding-and-setting-antique-pocke
And here is also one modern watch which needs to be wound with a key, because of the long power-reserve the watch has (31 days🤯):www.alange-soehne.com/us-en/timepieces/saxonia/lange-31
@@candidmoe8741 Keyless works that allow winding without a separate key were invented in 1843. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheel_train#Keyless_work
Bend test?
Dont forget to Thanks Jaeger Le Coutre for the movement development .
Very Sharp 🙏☝️
And AP as well.
what an amazing piece!
at least the octo finissimo ultra isn't ugly

This is fantastic. Keep up the good work.
A brilliant work of Art, a masterpiece.
@Bert Sutherland Looks great, I love it. Cheers man
@Bert Sutherland just a watch dreamer..i wear a Timex Maple Leaf Gardens Indiglo. Just an observer with a dream of a real watch. Wishing you a great weekend Bert. Rookie photographer from Toronto.
@Bert Sutherland Thanks man

This watch is Crazy, now i know what i want for Christmas/Birthday Present ♡
Richard mille are capable of making insane watches that look like nothing else out there.............amazing timepiece!!!
Fantastic work of precised craftsmenship.💯❤️
Absolutely Amazing. 🙏
Wallet: yeah bro, you can afford to watch this ad and maybe you can take a screenshot of it.
😂
that is absolutely incredible
This one is very special. Supremely unique. Superb craftsmanship.
Beautiful watch RM true timeless piece
20$ in materials and sell it for 1.000.000$. Perfect balance
....and your car is probably 1000$ worth of material......but the material cost isn't a big factor when it comes to such highly engineered stuff....
Bro not the same lmao
@@alejandroelbachatitas6466 so what makes your 1000$ car worth so much......ah yeah the expensive making of it and this is the same with that watch....I mean in the 6 years of development all the employees and engineers must be paid without making any money of that watch and ultra precise machinery costs hundreds of thousands of dollars......it's really expensive to make watches.....as well as cars...
@@samuelmichelsen7196 Bro a car is useful for transporting a fuckin 1M dollar watch that probably you are going to watch the time in the phone not. It's not even close the cost of materials and people working on the car, these watches are nonsense and only are bought by rich people who don't care about the watch only about the status.
And i don,t find nothing wrong if people buy the watch if they can and have the money.
@@alejandroelbachatitas6466 it's a LUXURY product and all LUXURY products are not necessary and something is worth what people are willing to pay for it....
sound recording in that video are great! especially on penrose
It's a Paper Watch. this is brilliant Engineering and Artistry...Bravo
This is the most watch I've ever seen in my entire life!
this watch is a def on my watch list

What a stunning achievement of technology and design… I say this as I wear my 25mm deep Agat Zlayoust Russian Diver… (scalpel vs. axe!).
Lovely piece of art & engineering. Hope it could be avalilable in more units.
Are you gonna buy one?
Perfect watch
This just blew my mind. Wow.
This is masterpiece of watch art.
This is art, Amazing!
Beautifull engine!
Beautiful
Love love
I’m waiting for the swatch version
Without the front plate, the watch is gorgeous, why not expose the beautiful movement? the full front should be glass
Exactly what I thought !....

$1.8 million dollars. Looks like only a Pfizer or Moderna CEO can afford it. Maybe Fauci, too.
I really want to have this masterpiece!

CNC machining technology with CMM measuring and surface finish compliancy.

Let’s go ⌚️🏁
Wow!
We’ll done guys this is the only good Ferrari watch since the 00’s that I am aware of.
An amazing feat of craftsmanship. Completely pointless exercise for a watchface the men that can afford it, won't have the eyes to read it.
its a collector item for a reason peasant!
Yall really like this watch? Lol Jacob hit his collab with Bugatti clean out the park and Ferrari/RM just swung and missed so hard that they still spinning right now. 😂
Best watches ever🤙🤙🤙
1.75 million dollar watch! Limited to 150 pieces.
Oh, I thought that was the thickness!
Looks like 35,00 ...... Its a ugly motherfuckxx
Now this is called a stunning masterpiece
Looking cheap....
I want one.
Good
🔥
i dont know about watchmaking but could have tried using technical fiber. Flatter and further complimented the theme.
Its great and all but how can I tell what time it is with that watch? 🤔
Darling, I bent the watch!
Scratches at a level 6
ill come back here when i have this
Richard Mille - we make more expensive watch than the car itself.
You need to mount this watch on a ATM Card 😜
Not the best looking, but technolgywise it is stunning 👍
It looks cheap, something you give to your kids...
@@pleun315 ....that's subjektiv...
@@samuelmichelsen7196 truth hurts sweetheart 💋
@@pleun315 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thinking that your opinion is the objective truth is really egocentric...
@@samuelmichelsen7196 if you can not handle the truth, a lesson is to be learned sweetheart.
Truth is it looks cheap, everyone can see that, even a child 😂.. It cost a lot ... ☝️But it Will always look cheap, a rip off. Everyone Will laugh When you say what you payed 😂😂 The buyer knows hé is fingered in the butt..... Deep without lube......
Rumour has it, this was inspired by the world's first PlayStation 5 slim
So basically its like taking any old mechanical watch and just slicing it down to 1mm thick.
Just amazing. Waiting to see who will pull off a replica😂😂
Manual winding.
Do not forget the screwdriver when travelling
wow.
mahal pastinya..😮😮😮
Amazing design, but can it tell the time?
ojalá que las quesadillas siempre traigan queso.
Suggest this to Producer Michael:)
Please let me buy one, tired of grey market getting them all
Times Square, NY
any technical justification for those 2.86g at a cost of usd$2MM seems ridiculous
giống miến cạo gió nhà tôi quá !
Wallet becomes thinner than the watch after buying it
Imagine if tgis watch told the wrong time! Holy ferrari Batman!
They say less is more..I bet it costs much more!
Why is most of the movement covered up? Seems a shame. Amazing watch.

The barrel is fitted with a hairspring?
Professor Bellavista, che ne penserà il muratore del 3000?
That's crazy how thin it is imagine a skeleton version, but 2 million is kind of crazy
Bulgari has made one 0.05 mm thicker (the previous rekord holder) that is mostly "open work"
Come on. I appreciate the craftsmanship, but that thing doesn’t belong anywhere near a wrist.
0:42 Is it even possible to reduce an object to its maximum?? Would not the correct term be, reduced to its minimum?
Ferrari Red strap, that’s all I’m saying. And yes I will take a watch for this idea. Welcome.
