True I Like The Bowser Voice
The trailer is perfectly timed with the music’s rhythm. Each missile, explosion is a drum Hit during the crazy Mario Kart sequence. Even Bowser sayin’ “Let’s end this!” feels like part of the music. Truly well done for maximized punch!

I don't feel ashamed whatsoever, I was in tears watching this trailer Every little detail from the games, the score, the animation, the characters, and yes fire flower DK. I'm goin to watch this in theaters April 5th, and if this isn't the GREATEST video game movie of all time.

This movie... brought me to tears too. It was my whole childhood wrapped up in an hour and a half, and reminded me of how much Nintendo cares about it's heroes, and all the adventures we've had across multiple decades. Please Nintendo, dont ever change. Dont listen to the critics, make your own path and run with it. We'll be right behind you, cheering you on!
I never thought Fire flower Donkey Kong was something I would ever need in life.... Jack's voice as Bowser is so perfect as well.... Im so excited

The actors who voiced bowser, and donkey kong, really impressed me theyre voices sounded perfect, i could say the same for all of the other main characters

Having the same feels at 40 as I did the first time I booted up my NES for the first time, unbelievable that in some way the Nintendo nostalgia magic is now making its way to screen.
You can say what you want about the voice acting choices, but this movie looks visually phenomenal. It's so smooth looking and it's appealing to look at. Practically eye candy as there's so much to look at and unbox easter eggs.

Based on what I've seen from the trailers. I think that Luigi is going to get some love in this movie and even possibly a Luigi's mansion nod. My guess is he'll escape on his own somehow and meet up with Mario in the process. Showing Luigi's capabilities in his own right leading up to the moment he reunites with Mario and they escape together.
I hope they don’t sideline him and actually give him a decent amount of screentime

Loved hearing the directors brag on their awesome art team. Honestly this whole aesthetic feels flawless in how it adds so much detail to make it feel cinematically interesting, while staying so true to its roots!

My brother lent me his Switch with Mario Odyssey when I was alone in the hospital with COVID. I had no one with me. I was in pain. It was quiet at night. Days were noisy with crying patients in other rooms. I'm going to watch this movie because Mario was my only friend then and he made me happy.
This looks freaking AMAZING! It's abundantly clear how involved Nintendo has been through this process. And I'll admit it - Chris Pratt's Mario is really growing on me. Can't wait!

In addition to “Fire Donkey Kong” just being a really neat addition I love how they’re making his relationship with Mario more similar to the games. In the last few teasers with DK, he and Mario were going at each others throats (or at least, were pretty engaged in fighting). But in this scene, he seems pretty happy to help and fight alongside Mario against the invading Koopas. In the games, Mario and Dk are sometimes portrayed as rivals, but they reconcile and become good friends by the end of it.

i REALLY want a "Mario & DK" rpg series similar to Mario & Luigi, but with all the mario AND dk characters included. the mario rpg/DK series needs some love!

@@ZottyLuck I can't speak on the matter of the banana shaped tops, but Lumas definitely don't always have to be yellow, as Mario Galaxy 1/2 and side games like Smash Bros. have shown.
@@ZottyLuck Lubba from Mario Galaxy 2 had multiple different light and dark shades of purple on him, has an antenna for a head, and PANTS. If Sparks of Hope was of any indication, Lumas can have all sorts of different features besides the usual one color, more simply designed Luma. I love them all personally. The big question is if the Lumas are being represented.......where's Rosalina in this? I don't think she's the type to up and abandon even one of them.

I was thinking that until i remembered the games have their own canon and adopting the movie as a game wholesale wouldnt fit alongside the other games. Like when capcom made a game based off the live action Street fighter movie.
BUUUUT i think Nintendo will incorporate ideas and concepts introduced in the movie into future games. Either as an Easter egg or because it’s a cool idea that suits the idea of the game they wish to incorporate it into. Like needing to rescue Luigi instead of peach or DK being a playable character in a super Mario game (based on DK getting the fire flower).

Still not convinced about Chris Pratt's voice in the action scenes. In the speaking scenes he's pretty good. Jack's Bowser is KILLER. Fire DK is an...interesting concept.
Finally a good Mario take. Pratt speaking has sounded normal, but the action scenes lack energy. I feel like they might have stitched together his voice from different parts
@@jda6540 It's mostly his screaming and yelling that sticks out to me. He should be screaming for his life but it sounds like he's bored. When he's talking and going "I'm getting my brother back" he actually sounds a lot better. Somebody in voice direction dropped the ball there.

I haven’t been waiting for this ever since I was a little girl. I was more then satisified with the first mario brothers movie, which easily outclasses every other movie in existence. This seems to be a significant letdown compared to the KING of movies. Even if I was a little girl I wouldn’t be excited, as watching the Mairo Brothers movie everyday more-then calms my 38 year old man soul.
This movie looks so good I cant wait. The attention to detail looks insane! The karts look something right out of the "jungle kingdom."
Things I learned from this:
-Lumas are nihilists
-Fire Donkey Kong is real
-Anya Taylor-Joy is really tall

In my opinion, I think not having the original Mario voice was a good idea for a few reasons:
1. It would be out of place with the movie's theme.
2. It would probably ruin serious scenes with how high pitched it is.
3. It might get annoying over time, or be hard to understand.
I love Mario's voice in the games, I just think this was the right choice for a movie.
