Jack Black is killing it as Bowser, I really wasn't expecting him to have such a fitting voice for the character; truly seems more menacing than I'm used to.

I remember seeing the Fight with Donkey Kong, Tanooki Mario, Fire Peach, the herd of Yoshi’s, and Mario Kart for the first time and just being so excited.

I'm liking the fact that this doesn't seem to just be a story vaguely inspired by the Mario universe, but actually directly incorporating aspects of games from Smash Bros to Mario Kart.
How could you like this fact? Them forcing in every aspect from every game is pointless and unnecessary and just done for money, not to mention it leaves less potential for a sequel (Cut the Yoshi's and Mario Kart parts, save them for a Sequel and Spin Off Movie)
It's cool but i'm hoping it's not just "Character does the thing!" Which seems highly likely with this trailer.

@@placeholderman6043id perfer if there isn’t a sequal just so they don’t screw it up even more since sequals to movie’s like these would not really tend to work, I get it Sonic worked but are they really going to take the risk of screwing it over even more. And plus there is still a lot of potential things they can use, Galaxy (like actually referencing galaxy) Sunshine, Mario Party, Mario and Luigi etc. The Mario universe is vastly large and I doubt that they will cover alot in the movie, there is still alot on the table. Definitely feels like it’s shoehorned in but I personally do not mind.

Regardless of how the film turns out, they have nailed the aesthetic completely, everything about this looks & feels like Mario. It honestly looks like they know what they’re doing with this movie. the little wahoo at the end got me so hyped. 🤣

This animation is some of the best I've seen from Illumination. Peach looks to be a lot more confident than I imagined her to be. Can't wait to see this movie in theaters soon enough.

It's THE best hands down. I notoriously hate illuminations philosophy on budget over quality but this movie looks like there's actual passion put into it which I respect greatly

My dad has played Super Mario Bros since 1985 and introduced me to Mario by putting on Super Show. Both me and dad are excited for this movie.
The way Peach is actually with them reminds me a lot of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, and I absolutely love that! Y’all did incredible on this!

Based off the presentations so far, this movie seems like one big, awesome love letter to the Mario franchise, and I'm all about that. I'm excited to see how this will turn out when released!

I couldn't stop watching this trailer because it's the only one with peach and her talking.
This actually is awesome from the animation to voice acting. Peach actually being useful and the plot not being about her being captured but rather just Bowser’s invasion trying to stop him is nice too.

I think people are saying that because the punch that Mario tries to throw before DK wallops him is one of Mario's Smash Bros movies.

I like how they're paying homage to all the Mario games. There's even a Super Mario Galaxy reference when Peach says "A lot of galaxies". I wonder if it could be hinting a possible sequel with Rosalina

The throwback scenes are well done like the flying Cheep Cheeps on the bridge or the scaffolding with Donkey Kong. The Mario Kart scene definitely puts smiles on peoples faces.

The more we see of this film the BETTER it looks! Yoshis, a showdown with DK, Peach playing a hero role, Mario having to learn the ins and outs of the kingdom, Bowser aiming to take over the world with his overwhelming power and army...IT'S MAGNIFICENT!!! Ok, now I’m excited for this movie. Charlie Day as Luigi is great. Peach’s as Anna Taylor is good too. DK looks good as well. We didn’t hear him much, but that’s alright. He seems to have the same looks as his arcade artwork style and that’s amazing. And the Mario Kart scene was fantastic. I can’t wait to see this when it comes out in theaters.
Edit: I just saw Luigi with some kind of backpack. Luigi’s Mansion reference maybe.

The voice acting is good through mid. I think Jack Black as Bowser does a good voice but I think Chris Pratt was miscasted.

I love how the design of Donkey Kong is how he looked in his old artwork for the original arcade game. As well as how it blends it with the look of modern Donkey Kong.
Honestly, I think I prefer this to the current one.
I feel like Mario's new voice would work better if he just had more energy and sounded less bored. I think I know what kind of voice they were going for but I feel it just wasn't executed that well. I don't really like it, but I hope it works for the whole movie. I'm so impatient for this to come out! I'm totally seeing this in the theater!!!

I was just shouting all over the place even for the coloured yoshies and the mk8 peach suit and all these other references man. They outdid themselves with this movie honestly. I came here, because of an article complaining about female empowerment, and that Princess Peach was taking a more central role, because of the negativity in modern society surrounding "The Damsel in distress" and "Wokeness". I'm so captivated by this trailer, i actually started crying out of pure nostalgia. And even though i hate everything about that article, i am glad i clicked the link. It just got me more excited for this film.

If they made a 3D Zelda movie, I would so badly want it to be with DreamWorks. I think Illumination's style fits literally perfectly for the Mario world, but it wouldn't work for the Zelda world. But when you have a style like HTTYD's or Trollhunter's style, I think that would work perfectly for the Zelda world.

I'm feeling hyped for the movie after these trailers. Luigi has a good voice, Peach has a good voice, Bowser has a really good voice, and even Mario's voice is sounding better and easier to get used to in this trailer. Plus, the animation is amazing. The movie might or might not live up to the hype, but I hope it does. It's certainly looking a lot more promising from these trailers than I expected it to look

Charlie Day was born in New York City and does have some Italian Heritage so it makes sense his voice fits more.
While Chris Pratt is from Minnesota of majority Norwegian heritage. So that was a bigger stretch

Has so far been the only good mario sounding line from Pratt I’ve heard
Mario was originally from brooklyn, and was never Italian, so an idea I got is maybe mario inherited the voice from the mushroom kingdom (basically because the mushroom kingdom is all upbeat and zany that mario was becoming more upbeat and zany as well) and Chris will do more mario voice over the course of the movie.
I hope so atleast.

I absolutely love the little "Wahoo!" Mario says at the end. That's how Chris should have played the entire part. You can just feel the fun and energy in it.
Love how practically every essential Mario character is important to the story in some way or another. The fact that pretty much every aspect of the Mario history is being included in some way makes me happy, the easter eggs are about to be insane. I hope the makers are passionate about the film, and after seeing a glimpse of Mario Vs Donkey Kong, I really hope they make a Smash Bros animated movie 🤞
We already have Pokémon and Sonic, this is a step in the right direction to make that happen!

i completely agree, though Smash Bros would work better as a series. all of the characters, the stories and relationships, you just couldn't tell all of that in an hour and a half. Telling it over 8-10, 45 minute long episodes however... thats how to do it right.

I really hope that after this movie, which I am sure will be a big success, that more games come with Peach as the main character. Like I would definitely play a game where Peach wears her biker outfit and uses that awesome halberd!
A lot of people are saying “galaxies” being mentioned by Peach is referring to Super Mario Galaxy coming, BUT I think this is opening up the possibility of other franchises being meshed into the same universe (Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Pokemon, etc). I mean Nintendo Pictures is a thing now, which means we should expect many more movies in the future, and they’re clearly opening up with an absolute banger of a movie! ⭐️ 🍄 🙌🏼

For me it's the little things, like seeing Peach's dress change to the proper red and white palette when she graced the fire flower 🔥 🌺 Her design is also the best one so far, she feels like a genuine improvement in appeal from how she is in most of the games.
I am upset they didn't give her a parasol or an umbrella that transforms into a weapon. Its such an obvious choice and a far more interesting design for a weapon than what they showed.

Hoping there is also a hint or joke about her hair color changing over the years.

I personally would love it if she used a frying pan 🍳 as a nod to Super Mario RPG, though... I can understand why they wouldn't have her do that nowadays, as it would potentially seem just a tiny bit sexist to people who didn't get the reference. I just hope she whacks Bowser with a golf club at some point.
Really loving that illumination and nintendo actually decided to add luigi and make him a character in the movie. The donkey kong scene made me really excited because it had the old donkey kong arcade platform underneath it which could mean something. Making peach an actual leader in this movie also looks exciting. The rainbow road scene also got me super hyped. Overall this movie looks to hopefully be my most favorite one of all time!

Never would I ever think Illumination of all studios would be putting so much care into making the Super Mario Brothers movie. It's like a celebration of the entire franchise from the original Donkey Kong to the current day. I might actually have to see this one. Mario will probably forever be my favorite game franchise.

I wonder why Nintendo took such a longtime for them to make another Mario movie after the old one from the 90s did not meet expectations and it didn't do jack.

I love that the entire project feels like a celebration. This trailer really brings that idea home with all the nods to previous adventures. Excited to see this one in theaters, and if the 3D effects are solid, in 3D. Let's-a-go!

This movie is an absolute love letter to the Mario series and as a long time fan, I am in awe. I can't lie, Mario's voice isn't doing it for me, but everything else is just phenomenal.

Nah Chris voice is good mario. Mario. And peach sound like regular people not slow and awkward the video games voices wouldn't fit. Its just ok for the video games

First of all, this movie was so good! I love the fact that Princess Peach got upgraded and wasn't a helpless damsel in distress. So please make a sequel! Secondly, the fact that Peach actually fights also makes me want a sequel to Super Princess Peach. Those 2 things I really want Nintendo to work on

I’m so excited for this film next year can’t wait! Also the fact peach says “there’s a bunch of galaxies/universes out there” speaks volumes that we’ll more likely move to Galaxy related stuff if this does well. Hopeful for this movie and Galaxy related stuff in some way! Especially if Rosalina shows up as potential post credits if they do one.
I would kill for a surprise Rosalina cameo!!!

Dude I'm SO EXSTATIC for this movie! Mario was my childhood, and it got me through tough times as a kid, especially when I was the kid who constantly got bullied in elementary and the teachers didn't do anything about it. Mario will always have a special place in my heart so if there's anything I'm grateful for it's Mario 100%

1) It's not even out. Every trailer's job is to make the movie look good. 2) Peach's character seems completely opposite of what it actually is. Suddenly an action hero..? Not even close to her in the games.
