This may be the best Mario game to date. It’s so polished and easy but also I’m sure they have some solid difficulty scales for those hardcore Mario fans. Love it!
@@Ericspil790It's an E game, what do you expect? Game play is going to be the same 2.5D experience so I don't see why people are complaining about the art style.
@@Ericspil790my guy, it's mario. Of course it's going to be childish it's literally a children's game Not that older people can't play it, but the game is designed to cater towards a younger audience, just like how... every single mario game has been since the beginning.
I love the little co-op improvements here! My kids and I played New Super Mario Bros Deluxe and I always ended up grabbing my daughter's character just to get her through difficult parts of levels, so stuff like the Yoshi mount, shared lives and the ghosts are gonna make this even friendlier for the little ones at home
That really is great. My brother and I played Mario Wii when we were like 3 or 4 and died on the first Goomba. Also, it’s just fun to speed run the game as an easy character.
Super Mario Maker 3 is questionable in my opinion. Arlo mentions it very well that Super Mario Maker 2 didn't gain as much popularity as the first game did despite the latter being on the underperforming Wii U console.
I could imagine a DLC for this game and not mario maker, a "maker" dlc. Basically functions just the same as mario maker but with all the unique stuff that makes this stand out from the other games.
If I had a nickel for every time we got to go inside of Bowser’s body I’d have three nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened thrice. [Spoilers for read more] Sorry guys, haven’t played superstar saga but it’s on my backlog lol! Edit: correction from 2 to 3
I absolutely LOVE the live player shadows and the fact you can revive each other and share items. It just brings so much more life to the game when your playing alone
i love the subtle animations for the enemies and characters! like the koopas getting surprised by the bubble approaching them or mario getting electrocuted. such a big improvement from early 3d mario games like sunshine and galaxy. it really gives the game more personality
I love how the order of the worlds isn't generic grass, sand, Water, jungle, etc. etc. It's actually unique and they all are spins on the original types of worlds we see.
I saw grass, jungle/acid, water world's etc all over again. I'm hyped, though. Love Mario games. I just wish they'd give us more worlds. It's a long wait between installments. Just wish they'd give us more content to enjoy for the years to come.
This probably won't matter to many people, but my dad just watched this whole thing through with a look of wonder on his face because he loves the original Mario games. He's probably played the games bought for me and my siblings more than we did, and he's beaten New Super Mario Brothers Wii and Deluxe more times than I can count. He was asking me questions like "how can I play this?" and "we have a Switch, right?" He says he's gonna buy the game as soon as it comes out. The amazing feeling Mario games give to people truly is wonderful.
What Odyssey did for 3D Mario, this game will do for 2D Mario. All the new concepts and additions to a brand new style of Super Mario Bros. is amazing! The replay value this game will have is off the charts! I can't wait when it will get released in the next couple of months.
@@ElseAndrecool What the "New" games did was the thing 3D Land and 3D world did for 3D games, decent but not so remarkable when compared to the other 3D games (2D in this case).
To those who are still seeking, still questioning, still not sure about their faith, here's an invitation. Understand that we, as humans, are limited. We often make mistakes, go astray, and lose our way. It's not about perfection; no one is. As it is stated in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Recognize that actions alone won't bring ultimate salvation. It's not about counting good deeds against the bad. Ephesians 2:8-9 teaches, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." Believe in the transformative power of love and forgiveness embodied in Jesus Christ. He laid down His life so we could find ours. The Bible states in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." True change and enlightenment come when we turn away from our old life and towards a new one - one guided by compassion, love, and humility. Acts 3:19 says, "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." Express your faith, not only in words but also in actions. Embrace love, kindness, and righteousness, just like how Jesus lived His life. As Romans 10:9 suggests, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Consider baptism, a symbolic gesture of your new journey, your decision to leave the old behind, and embark on a new life in Him. Matthew 28:19 encourages us, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Lastly, remain steadfast. Consistency in following Jesus and His teachings is the key. As Jesus says in John 14:15, "If you love me, keep my commands." This is not a demand but a warm invitation. ...
Nah, this doesn't look impressive, this looks corny and over complicated, they should stick to traditional values that work, the VA is complete garbage. cope harder
Nintendo really tried to make this distinct from the New Super Mario Bros series. And they nailed it perfectly. Everything, from the art style, the new power-ups and enemies, all the way to the wonder flowers, easily makes this the most exciting 2D Mario adventure yet. New Super Mario Bros walked so that Super Mario Bros Wonder could run.
Oh my god i was thinking THE EXACT same thing Like, imagine the strats revolving around bringing a certain item to a certain level to skip or go through part of it faster
The beginning phases of the speedruns will especially be so awesome to watch because there are so many different combinations of badges, power ups, decisions, etc. It'll take time to find the most efficient routes and with what particular items/powerups/badges. Not just speedruns, but this seems like a crazy content machine!! "Can I complete the game with only [x] badge" "can my friends stop me from [x-ing]" "Can I beat this world with only [x]" etc, etc... There is so much creativity you can put into a game like this!
This looks like the most laid back mario I've ever seen, idk how to explain it but like it's a game you can relax/unwind to, not cause it's boring but the stages look so nice and the music in the video make it seem like it'll just be a fun time
From what I've heard from rumors, it might be one of the more challenging Mario games. So, hopefully the tone is relaxing enough to ease people past the difficulty.
@@DOC_951but quick search shows that people do speed run modern mario games? You can search up “NSMB speedrun” and it’ll come up with several speedrun videos
A 2D Mario Game with a unique story, gimmick, and visual style plus a decent difficulty curve that likely won’t be boring and generic? It’s a miracle! I’m so excited for this!
I love how old-school this is, but fresh and new at the same time. This feels like Super Mario Bros. 4, or Super Mario World 3. I did not hesitate to preorder this game as soon as it was announced. Super Mario Bros. was the whole reason 10 y.o. me saved all my allowance, Christmas, and b-day money to buy my first NES when it launched in 1985.
I know this game probably won't flop or underdeliver, but I wouldn't preorder. Because it almost tells the studio that the quality won't matter, and i suffered with Cyberpunk preorder, never again
There is no reason to preorder nowadays, since you can just get a digital copy. It doesn't matter if the studio is trustworthy or not, pre-ordering still supports an anti-consumer system.
This game looks so good… wow. Everything, from the creative course design to the online/local Co-Op. This may just be the best 2D Mario ever created - and that’s not an easy feat.

Time to Stand Up For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes-the Jew first and also the Gentile. -Romans 1:16- We’re living in a time when people are standing up for all sorts of causes. And in some cases, people are even willing to lay down their lives for what they believe in. Isn’t it time that we, as Christians, stand up for what we believe? It seems to me that at a time when so many are standing up for so many causes, there are many in the church who are not standing up for anything. We are embarrassed. We are ashamed. But it’s time to stand up and be counted. The apostle Paul wrote, “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes-the Jew first and also the Gentile” (Romans 1:16) Are you ashamed of the gospel of Christ? We must be especially watchful in this area of denying the Lord, because the Bible tells us that it’s something that will happen in the last days. Many who once acknowledged Jesus Christ will ultimately deny Him. One of the signs of the last days is that there will be a great apostasy, or a falling away. Some will fall from the faith, Timothy says, and “follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons” (1 Timothy 4:1) Yet in the times in which we are living when we have violence at an unprecedented level, who do we often see vilified on television, in movies, and in the press? It’s people of faith. At best, they portray those who believe in God and have certain moral principles as kooks or feeble-minded dolts. And at worst, they blame them for the problems that our society is facing. Ironically, these very problems, which are the result of our society’s rejection of God, are then placed at the feet of Christians, as though we have brought them on our culture. You can say anything. You can believe in anything. But if you stand up and say, “There are absolutes. There is right and wrong, and the Bible says so,” you’re labeled as a crazed fanatic who’s hurting our society. However, this isn’t the first time in history that Christians have been made scapegoats for the ills of a culture. When Caesar Nero was largely responsible for the burning of Rome, he laid the blame at the feet of the Christians, although they had nothing to do with it. It isn’t right. It isn’t fair. But it’s part of being a disciple of Jesus. It’s part of the Christian life, although it isn’t something that any of us enjoy. Yet Jesus said, “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Matthew 5:11-12) Wear it as a badge of honor. Remember, you’re in good company. Don’t be ashamed of the gospel of Christ.

I used to play New Super Mario Bros. to death on my DS when I was 19 and I still hold a ton of praise for it. I still have it on my shelf above my monitor. It's was so damn good for its time.
The fact that they're actually once again acknowledging that there's other places in the world other than just the Mushroom Kingdom and Bowser's Kingdom makes me unexplainably happy because it reminds me a ton of what the Mario and Luigi RPG games tried to do to expand the world a little bit.
Didn’t Mario Odyssey already do this, though? That whole game was comprised of tons of different kingdoms and places around the world. So they’ve already been doing worldbuilding beyond the RPGs in recent years.
This game is literally as if Mario and friends are in a cartoon! Everyone is animated beautifully! I especially love when Mario jumps off of a vine and flies through the air swinging his arms around, and Yoshi’s new flutter kick! The smears look so stylish! Please keep up this attention to detail, it’s given this game an amazing sense of identity!
Before seeing this I figured it would be a good game but nothing too crazy. After seeing this I think it's safe to say this will be one of the best Mario games ever made. Castle Bowser looks similar to Bowser's Galaxy Generator. Edit: I just realised a few things and wanted to put them here. When Castle Bowser is revealed, the guitar that plays uses Bowser's theme from Super Mario 64. The drums and cymbals are similar to it, too.

I know that the koopalings were repetitive but I hope to see them in this game and give them more unique boss battles that actually say something about their personalities

It's referring to the game death stranding, where the US has been fractured by the arrival of BTs (basically ghosts) into dozens of individual cities. Your primary objective is to create “strands” - connections that allow cities to interact and share information again. You also “interact” with other players by finding stuff they were trying to deliver but lost or dropped and completing the delivery, or by using bridges they've built to make the game world easier to traverse or you doing that for other players benefit etc

I'm really fond of the badge system. It adds a refreshing twist to the gameplay without introducing an excessive array of abilities that might overwhelm the player.
I'm super happy that a lot of Super Mario World elements are found in this game, considering I have always wanted a modern sequel to the former game: - The world map really reminds me of the layout of SMW (especially W1). Even some of the level designs and backgrounds also got quite heavily inspired. - Bowser using the Wonder Flower and transformed into a gigantic floating castle actually looks like an evolution of SMW final castle with his floating clownface car lurking in the dark sky - Characters floating using their hats, looks like how they descend with a cape feather, and Mario's animations are recreations of his old posture in SMW. - P-Balloon transformation from the Wonder Flower - SMW sound effects (burrowing into the ground = destroying rotating blocks), riding on Yoshi (I guess it's an evolution) - The pipe designs look like in SMW - Upward shell or item throwing (this was seriously needed long ago) At the same time, this also really makes some big steps away from the "New Super" series, and I love that they are somehow going back to their original roots with SMB3 and especially SMW influences. 10/10 💕
don't forget SMW1 being able to carry an extra item and switching them or having a backup as well as aspects from yoshi's Island like especially the transformations as well as yoshi having a jump like from there.
Don’t worry about it. I still watch Nintendo Directs from years ago. Including the Wii U ones lol. That’s just a sign of hype! The Zelda TOTK trailer gets views and comments regularly as if it was just uploaded yesterday!

@Richard-Richardson New Super Mario Bros. has many differences that makes it unlike Super Mario World's animations. Super Mario Bros. Wonder does it identical to Super Mario World. The start of the animation is entirely still, and then flies up then down off the screen, keeping an upright orientation while the legs and arms flail. New Super Mario Bros. starts the animation almost immediately, with the arms and legs doing so the exact moment the animation starts. And to finish it, the player character topples upside down as they fall off the screen.

I shouldn't be surprised that a mainline Mario game is looking to be very impressive, but I am. The number of new features and capabilities in this game are fantastic. Can't wait for it.
the new mechanics, powerups and badges feel fresh, yet still so true to the classic Mario brand... and seem to fit perfectly into what we love about gameplay in 2D Mario games. i'm really excited for this game!
this is honestly such a nice breath of fresh air for the series, it gives me just the right amount of nostalgia but also novelty and art style to make it fresh and exciting. i cannot wait and also my girl daisy finally being playable in a mainline mario game 😭elephant daisy is so iconic and something i never knew i needed until now 🐘

What the "New" games did was the thing 3D Land and 3D world did for 3D games, decent but not so remarkable when compared to the other 3D games (2D in this case).
To those who are still seeking, still questioning, still not sure about their faith, here's an invitation.
Understand that we, as humans, are limited. We often make mistakes, go astray, and lose our way. It's not about perfection; no one is. As it is stated in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Recognize that actions alone won't bring ultimate salvation. It's not about counting good deeds against the bad. Ephesians 2:8-9 teaches, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
Believe in the transformative power of love and forgiveness embodied in Jesus Christ. He laid down His life so we could find ours. The Bible states in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
True change and enlightenment come when we turn away from our old life and towards a new one - one guided by compassion, love, and humility. Acts 3:19 says, "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord."
Express your faith, not only in words but also in actions. Embrace love, kindness, and righteousness, just like how Jesus lived His life. As Romans 10:9 suggests, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Consider baptism, a symbolic gesture of your new journey, your decision to leave the old behind, and embark on a new life in Him. Matthew 28:19 encourages us, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
Lastly, remain steadfast. Consistency in following Jesus and His teachings is the key. As Jesus says in John 14:15, "If you love me, keep my commands."
This is not a demand but a warm invitation. ...
Nah, this doesn't look impressive, this looks corny and over complicated, they should stick to traditional values that work, the VA is complete garbage.

Time to Stand Up
For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes-the Jew first and also the Gentile.
-Romans 1:16-
We’re living in a time when people are standing up for all sorts of causes.

We must be especially watchful in this area of denying the Lord, because the Bible tells us that it’s something that will happen in the last days.
Many who once acknowledged Jesus Christ will ultimately deny Him. One of the signs of the last days is that there will be a great apostasy, or a falling away. Some will fall from the faith, Timothy says, and “follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons”
(1 Timothy 4:1)

It’s people of faith. At best, they portray those who believe in God and have certain moral principles as kooks or feeble-minded dolts. And at worst, they blame them for the problems that our society is facing.
Ironically, these very problems, which are the result of our society’s rejection of God, are then placed at the feet of Christians, as though we have brought them on our culture.
You can say anything. You can believe in anything. But if you stand up and say, “There are absolutes. There is right and wrong, and the Bible says so,” you’re labeled as a crazed fanatic who’s hurting our society.

Time to Stand Up
For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes-the Jew first and also the Gentile.
-Romans 1:16-
We’re living in a time when people are standing up for all sorts of causes.
It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes-the Jew first and also the Gentile”
(Romans 1:16)
Are you ashamed of the gospel of Christ?
We must be especially watchful in this area of denying the Lord, because the Bible tells us that it’s something that will happen in the last days.
Many who once acknowledged Jesus Christ will ultimately deny Him. One of the signs of the last days is that there will be a great apostasy, or a falling away. Some will fall from the faith, Timothy says, and “follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons”
(1 Timothy 4:1)
Yet in the times in which we are living when we have violence at an unprecedented level, who do we often see vilified on television, in movies, and in the press?
Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you”
(Matthew 5:11-12)

Your primary objective is to create “strands” - connections that allow cities to interact and share information again. You also “interact” with other players by finding stuff they were trying to deliver but lost or dropped and completing the delivery, or by using bridges they've built to make the game world easier to traverse or you doing that for other players benefit etc

I'm super happy that a lot of Super Mario World elements are found in this game, considering I have always wanted a modern sequel to the former game:
- The world map really reminds me of the layout of SMW (especially W1). Even some of the level designs and backgrounds also got quite heavily inspired.
- Bowser using the Wonder Flower and transformed into a gigantic floating castle actually looks like an evolution of SMW final castle with his floating clownface car lurking in the dark sky
- Characters floating using their hats, looks like how they descend with a cape feather, and Mario's animations are recreations of his old posture in SMW.
- P-Balloon transformation from the Wonder Flower
- SMW sound effects (burrowing into the ground = destroying rotating blocks), riding on Yoshi (I guess it's an evolution)
- The pipe designs look like in SMW
- Upward shell or item throwing (this was seriously needed long ago)
At the same time, this also really makes some big steps away from the "New Super" series, and I love that they are somehow going back to their original roots with SMB3 and especially SMW influences.
10/10 💕
don't forget SMW1 being able to carry an extra item and switching them or having a backup as well as aspects from yoshi's Island like especially the transformations as well as yoshi having a jump like from there.
also the fact that this is in another kingdom
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say World's focus of puzzle solving didn't make the cut.

Even the death animations that were shown are reminiscent to the ones in Super Mario World. With the outward flailing arms and legs.
From this trailer, this might genuinely be one of the best 2D mario games of all time.
Just from this direct, I can say with full confidence that this game is going to be one heck of a banger.
