@Ahmad the skeleton Actually, the marble was used back in the day to hold the seal of the soda so it would stay fizzy. It holds no actual flavor but holds a sort of nostalgia factor for people who had ramune as a kid. For those of us who didn’t drink ramune as a part of childhood/youth, it is simply an interesting concept, looks cool and makes it sound refreshing (I like to think it sounds sort of like ice in a glass).

This is like a kid show I would gladly watch everyday.

Part of me still thinks the red pikmin thought the marble was a pearl, and wanted it to produce more pikmin at an onion. Which does beg the question as to what the plan was at the end when they just took the entire dang bottle with them.
Maybe to find some rock pikmin to break the thing open after the bottle's secured, if there aren't already rock pikmin back at whatever they call their camp?

1:25 though initially failing in reaching the bottle, the red pikmin are determined creatures, and so he tries again.
3:48: the blue pikmin appears to have come up witha solution!.... it seems to be proposing to fill the bottle up with water, to rise the pikmin out of the bottle....... But alas, other pikmin cannot swim, thus the plan isn’t viable and they will have to think up a new idea

I like how each of the Pikmins solutions to the one Reds predicament corresponds to the way they behave in-game throughout the series. Example:
Blue's plan: flush him out with water. Blues can swim, but red Pikmin cant and theyre weak to water
Yellows Plan: Bomb Rocks! Yellows originally carried bomb rocks before the rocks themselves were abandoned until 4. The fact that the explosion sends both the bottle and the Pikmin flying is a reference to Yellows high jumping.
Reds Plan: use the strength of the Purple Pikmin and organize a line to pull the trapped Red Pikmin out.
Until 2, Reds were considered the strongest Pikmin in the games, able to carry heavy treasures and corpses.
My dad once found me playing Pikmin and asked me: why are you playing a cute little radish video game?

I'm pretty sure getting left behind is the cause of most pikmin deaths. Especially if you count wandering into water or whatever.
I love it when the intro of the game's ending theme comes in!
Also the way they rescue that poor red one is so Pikmin-ish. They cannot do much by themselves but they cooperate each other and find the way out. So adorable. Love the video.
These shorts are so wholesome, it's just the pikmin running around everywhere and it's the best
It's all fun an games until glass shatters or a pikmin gets run over by a marble. The fact it even survived the fall it took when the marble got suck without getting hurt is nothing short of miraculous. Same with surviving the explosive fall
@@mattwo7 eh less so then u might think at the size the pikmin are depicted being if a fall could kill them at all it'd have to be a pretty impressive one. that said it did land horribly so it might depend on how their 'neck' works.

I find it super sweet how much they all care for each other. The three lil Pikmin all stayed there determined to help their sibling and then called a whole band of Pikmin to join hands and form a rope just to fish him out. 😭 I neeeeed more shorts where we can see the Pikmin interacting and get a feel of their personalities! And God do I need ones of the Hococates and Kopopites 😭 especially Olimar interacting with them

This is the extremely high level of quality in animation that you'd expect from Nintendo. Every emotion is expressed through action with help from excellent sound design. Thank you for this gift Nintendo.

I'm 30, Watching this makes me feel lite and feel like 5 year old. I would love to more. I wish we had this type of series back in our days.
I just reached retirement age - I've been playing all the Nintendo games since they were first released way back before I was your age. I stood in line almost 48 hours to get the 2nd Zelda game when it was released. Everyone needs and deserves fun and relaxation in their life. Don't worry about your age, I know people in their 80s playing Nintendo games. They are waiting as anxiously as I am for tomorrow when the new Pikmin game arrives.

Everyone who’s ever tried to get the marble out of the Ramune has felt that Pikmin’s pain. Actually the Ramune bottle with the cobalt blue marble stopper is a rare collector’s item, because they were limited edition and most people broke the bottle to get the marble out.
Still neat; wonder if the red Pikmin was trying to get the marble because the little guy thought it was a pearl. (produces 50 more Pikmin)

As someone who only knows pikmin from smash bros, it's really nice to finally see the world they come from so expressive and alive! Great job Nintendo! Cant wait to see more!
I get that, though I knew about pikmin before smash bros, series like fire emblem I had no idea existed before I played smash. It must be more popular than I think if half the characters in the game are from it lol

Yep! I have no problem with the fact I paid for these back in the day. If they made more, I would buy them. I wish Nintendo would make more of these types of animated shorts for Pikmin and other series like ARMS, Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., Splatoon, etc. They did make some for Kid Icarus back in the day that were pretty good, too.
