Mick's a legend! Tuned my 180sx 10years ago, he wouldn't tell me the power till after I drove it, I came back with a huge grin on my face and he said "did you turn the boost up? That was on gate pressure" hahah top bloke.

evo engines continue to impress me....1330 on cast block is wild. So crazy for a small inline 4. And 80 psi haha wtf! Saying 60 psi isn't big boost puts it in perspective to what these guys are use to running.
Its honestly insane right? I cant get over it and the best thing is they actually last.
@@DriftSquid the 4g is the rb of the 4 cylinder world for sure. Insane man, they may aswell just round it up and chuck 100psi through it haha
Still remember Mick's old s15 drag car. Thing was mental for an Sr. Also remember seeing him interviewed at the track 1 day for TV and peaking out on hearing him say they'd been at 65psi earlier in the day and were hoping to push another 20 through it by the end of the day. I had the same reaction as you did when he mentioned 80psi haha
Yeah it seems like its just normal for these guys to run insane boost pressures haha. They were all doing it so long ago as well. Crazy hey
@DriftSquid crazy alright. I can't even imagine what that kind of boost would feel like. It would be nuts! And nitrous ontop... guys are insane haha
Why do they leave the jack under the front of the car on the hub dynos ?
Helps take the load off the hub dynos.
