      Facts lmao

    • @Tijuanabill
      @Tijuanabill 27 дней назад +2

      Only if you fundamentally don't understand how the game works. In real life, the toughest places to play have the toughest teams to beat, yes. But in the game, those rosters will vary, season to season. So accounting for how much impact ONLY the fans make, is the logical way to code the game. But then along come college football fans, who insist the toughest place to play is in Tuscaloosa, because Bama is a great team. That doesn't make sense for what the game is trying to accomplish.

    • @southernmagz
      @southernmagz 27 дней назад +1

      @Tijuanabill Look at EA's list again and identify what metric they used to determine their ranking. Then try to explain it. You can't without sounding misguided at best, or at worst, willfully ignorant.

    • @Wetrockstah2116
      @Wetrockstah2116 27 дней назад

      @@Tijuanabill all you have to do is look at EA's top 25 offenses and Top 25 defenses to know that when they made the game they definitely didn't do it based off real data and knowledge of the game. Teams like USC should not be a top 25 defense, And a team like Tennessee for example with one of the best offenses in the last two seasons isn't even in the top 25. A team like Kentucky is known for having a top 5 defense in the SEC almost every season isn't on the top 25 defense in the game. There are numerous other examples I could name, so I wouldn't put much weight into the games "toughest places to play" rankings either. It's a video game that is trying to appease every fan base and marketing. Which sucks IMO because I'd really like it alot more if the game actually is accurate with the rankings.

    • @Tijuanabill
      @Tijuanabill 26 дней назад

      @@Wetrockstah2116 Everyone knows their first pass at balancing rosters is laughably bad. It won't release like that, or if it does, it will just get patched. Even in 2014, the game had weekly updates during the season, to make the rosters ever more accurate, as the season goes along.
      Even if they have the teams set the way the media thinks they should be set, they still need to be updated as the season goes, as we find out who is REALLY good and who isn't.
      But college football fans like you, fundamentally don't understand how the game works. The toughest places to play, isn't supposed to simply be the places where the best teams play. That is a different variable, controlled by different numbers. The point is supposed to be it's harder to win on the road, than at home.
      The people who think these numbers are bad not because they did a bad job, but because there is a conspiracy afoot, are the dumbest m'fers you will find, on planet earth. Are you among them?

    The trip to Norman Oklahoma was the best thing to happen to Mike. He finally understands now about how Texans has always been overrated and blown completely out of proportion. I cringe every time I hear anyone say that Oklahoma was following their big brother Texas into the South East Conference because it shows they know and understand nothing about the programs in modern history.

    • @Chris-zg7ty
      @Chris-zg7ty 26 дней назад

      I have never heard anyone refer to OU as TX's "little bro". I think you or someone else was confused. TX only has one little bro and that's TAMU. TX isn't "always overrated" unless your history begins in 2010 when TX began it's worst stretch in school history thanks to poor coaching/AD. Speaking of overrated...OU has been so dominate for 20 years over TX and won all these Big 12 titles while TX was at it's worst and yet promptly loses once it goes outside the Big 12. However, in that same 20 year stretch TX has 2 natty appearances including a natty, CFP appearance and a Sugar Bowl win despite all that. Whenever your mind starts to fantasize about how overrated TX is just remember TX still leads OU in all-time record despite OU winning so much in the last 10 years.

They have who many consider was the best linebacker in the SEC and an all American in Jamon Dumas-johnson they brought in from Georgia and pairing him with who I think is one of the most slept on linebackers in the SEC in D'eryk Jackson. You ask if there are any lessons you can teach Texas and Oklahoma people. I appreciate your lessons; now please allow me to share some with you because you clearly know very little about the history of Texas and Oklahoma. I get it, all you watch is the SEC. The good news is that there are now two more teams with a rich history that you can be exposed to.
    First, there are absolutely a handful of Texas fans who puff their chests and claim there’s no stopping the Longhorns, but you can find those people in every fan base. Most Texas fans are cautious about the move to the SEC. I think we feel as though we can compete, but nobody is realistically saying we’re going to be the next Alabama.
    You say that LSU has won more championships than Texas has won in its history. Untrue, in the past 12 years, LSU won a single national championship (2019). Texas has won four in its history. Further, if Texas were to claim every national title they could (like Alabama does), then Texas would have 9.
    Also, the separation between the Big 12 and the SEC isn’t as large as you would like to think. In the 27 years the Big 12 has existed, it had as many (or more) Top 10 Final AP teams as the SEC 17 times, and was actually the better conference in the 2000s. The SEC has only pulled ahead relatively recently, which corresponds to the Alabama dynasty and the poor performance by Texas in the early and mid 2010s.
    You accuse Texas of not being able to dominate the Big 12, but what constitutes “dominating?” It is true that Oklahoma has more conference championships than anyone else by a considerable margin, but Texas has the second most with 4. Also, since the beginning of the Big 12, Texas has finished in the top 3 of the conference 17 times. That’s better than nearly every SEC team not named Alabama. By comparison, only LSU has won more conference championships in that timeframe and they only have 5. Florida and Georgia both have 4 pulling them even with Texas. In fact, those are pretty much the only teams to ever be in contention for the conference championship. Auburn shows up now and again with a team they bought and win, only to be put on probation and suck again for 4 or 5 years. The Big 12 was run by Oklahoma and Texas, with those two teams finishing in the top 3 virtually every year, but Oklahoma winning the majority of the conference titles. The SEC was run by Alabama with a rotating cast of LSU, Georgia, and Florida winning a title here and there. That’s not that different.
    You say that Texas was only able to win one conference championship in 12 years. You know who else that applies to? Auburn (2013), LSU (2019), and almost Georgia (2017 and 2022). Alabama won the rest of them. As a thought experiment, let’s consider the following, what if Alabama were in the Big 12? The Big 12 would then be the most dominant conference over the past 15 years. What that really means is that Alabama has been good.
    Texas is not going to come in and dominate the SEC (probably), but they aren’t going to be bottom dwellers either (probably). That said, your Texas takes are fallacious and lazy and based on assumptions that you can’t defend. Your criticisms are rooted in the worst stretch in Texas football history and your claims of SEC superiority are founded on Alabama superiority.

      Let’s dissect this-Texas claims 4 national championships-one of those(1970), they literally lost their bowl game. Nebraska owns that national championship in 1970. So Texas has 3-that’s it! Two in the 1960s and one in 2005. You go to great lengths to make Texas sound successful but the reality is they have had a total of 8 good seasons out of the last 50! If you don’t believe me, then name which coach generated dominant seasons other than Mack Brown or Darrell Royal-Akers, McWilliams, Mackovick, Strong, Herman, and so far Sarkisian?All have all sucked. Brown had 7 good seasons(2002-2009) and Sark so far had one good season and 2 pitiful ones..that’s it..there’s the history of the longhorns for 50 years-not impressive at all

    • @seansmith117
      @seansmith117 26 дней назад +1

      @@jeffbradley883 You say that Texas doesn't deserve the 1970 title because they lost their bowl game. I'll pour a little SEC magic dust on this and say "they didn't want to be there." National champions were crowned before bowl games back then so it was an exhibition game to show off the beauty of the wishbone. You then say that Texas has had 8 good seasons in the past 50 years, but I have no idea how you're getting that. You never establish a criteria for what "good" is and I don't see what it might be. Texas finished in the top 5 more than 8 times. I'll establish a criteria that I think is fair - there are 134 FBS teams, so the top 10% is top 14 (rounded up because I'm feeling generous). Texas finished in the AP top 14 24 times in the past 50 years. That means that Texas finished the season in the top 10% of teams nearly half the time. There are only a handful of teams that can make that claim.

      Only position without 3 or more guys proven Power Starters is @ QB. Got 2 of them, + a top-5 QB freshman coming in, 2 more 3-4 star kids behind him.
      You could flip 2-5 ion this list in no particular order. Even as a Missouri fan I'd put Bama over us or Ole Miss until proven otherwise.
      At least one of these five teams will regress and at least one of the 6-9 here will likely rise through the Season and be right in the mix for Atlanta and/or CFP.
      I suspect Florida will improve and upset some folks, maybe TAMU as well. Barn being better than advertised isn't beyond realm of possibility
      Every team has questions going in, anyone in top half of Conference is a legit CFP threat.
      Offense @ Miz is stacked. If Cook goes down Game 1 they can line up and run over most teams on this schedule without ever throwing the ball.
