proper sleep also related to weight loss. if you are not sleep enough your craving of fast food is increase. reference video in RUclips : "How Sleep Impacts Weight Gain and Appetite | Dr. Matthew Walker"
@Pranav : Excellent video... I'd like to add one more thing. SLEEP, 7-8 hours of good quality sleep is something which is essential for weight loss. I have also been tracking my weight loss journey since last month and moderation helped me develop healthy eating habits and I really loved this new type of content. I dont think I will have enough time to track calories but I keep a detailed track of my weight pattern throughout the day.
Good content Pranav. Your video has come as a time when I am putting in a little effort into weight loss. This is inspiring me. Moreover, one of the best things I did this year was to quit smoking completely after being an addict for nine long years. I had never stayed without smoking for over one week in these years (I rarely drink alcohol -- maybe 4-6 times a year in moderation). I have abstained from smoking from 1st Jan 2024. Not even a single smoke. I had heavy withdrawal and temptation during the first 7-10 days, but later turned out okay. I substituted my habit by replacing it with sugarless tea from the places I used to smoke from (I chose the better evil temporarily). Now, even those are automatically reduced. My advice to smokers that wanna quit: just don't gradually stop it. It never worked out for me. It goes like the stock market charts. While you feel good, the chart appears to be bearish, but as soon as stress levels rise, the chart would start the bull run. Instead, stop once and for all. Say goodbye to smoking. How did I stop immediately? I prepared myself for about a month until Jan 1st by always referring to cigarettes as "CANCERETTES". This pseudonym gave my mind a much needed sense of danger and urgency. It worked out pretty well so far. No temptations now even when I am with people that smoke around me. I wanna improve my health this year.
Thanks Pranav for this comprehensive information. I followed everything you said. I was 73 in Nov and now I’m down at 63. As u said, YOU NEED TO ENJOY the process of weight loss.
You have Excellently covered this topic man. Touched on all the starting points which some may ignore in favor of fearmongering and instead has shown the right direction of thought. You have armed the average person with the most essential tools required to start their weight loss journey. Of course not every video is perfect. But as he said, once you have attained consistency in these habits, you can adjust them and experiment with ideas based on what is your end goal. But starting this journey and achieving consistency is the first essential goal. I hope this video reaches the masses and everone picks up these good habits to improve themselves, physically and mentally
This is the most helpful video i found eegarding weught loss. Finally found a non-fear mongering informative video. Now i m directly gonna put all the info in this video into action. Pls make more such videos on exercise, sleep, height increase etc. Love ur content!
One thing I discovered trying to lose weight is the fact that your base metabolism rate (rate at which your body burns energy) won't stay the same throughout your life. I am in my late 30's now and while eating exactly what I used to eat in my 20's (while staying at healthy weight back then) I put on weight now or just maintain my weight at best. My base metabolism has gone down now and so I cant eat the same amount of sugars or whatever else that I could eat without a care in my younger days.
Your way of talking looks so good ,not slow not fast and very smooth talking ,is it natural or you had done something to improve your presentation ,i would like to know
Great vid Pranav. Would love to see you dig a bit more into weight loss vs body transformation dynamic, and healthy diet overall. They are definitely related, but ofc not exactly the same thing. Lot of ppl I think get confused with these nuances. Thanks ♥
@@OyePapaJi you should watch RUclips videos about carnivore diet. Study them before doing it or you will stop in the middle thinking you are doing it wrong or blaming the diet. That usually happens when you do it without studying. I started it one day and never stopped. That is not recommended so if i tell you what i did and it may be hard to do and you may give up. You are supposed to change diet slowly. But in my opinion if you do strict on your diet you can do it. Enough of the yapping. I ate beef with salt cooked in ghee. I've been doing this calorie deficit weight loss diet (1200, 1350, 1500 - to avoid plateau) for 2 months now with one cheat day per week (1750, 2000). Based on formulas, I've lost 15 KG [scales don't support more than 200 KG and I'm homebound, so I'm dependent on a (BMR - calorie intake) based weight loss calculator that I've made in Excel based on whatever I've learnt] (I count calories of everything I eat). But since my weight is so much, there is no visible difference and it was making me feel very demotivated. Thanks for making this video and giving me hope that this works. Hi pranav sir What are your opinions on IE (intuitive eating) where you give your body the authority in deciding how much to eat, when to eat, whether to eat or not etc this is based on physical sensations as well as mental cravings of the body
Gaining weight is called bulking, two types- dirty bulking and healthy bulking. You can do either , dirty bulking will be easier as you just eat anything, and gain weight like mcD, KFC, Pakode, even junk food. Healthy bulking is eating food which are good in nutrition like Pranav has suggeste. In the end, dirty bulking will result in more fat and overweight, but you can burn it off, although it can be hard for some people. Healthy bulking is recommended for most.

Ok let me sum it up - eat in calorie deficit. Get good sleep. Train with weights and cardio. Eat foods with high level of proteins and fiber while reducing fats and carbs for the most part. Avoid liquid calories at any cost.
All the points are correct except for one..... You don't need to reduce any kind of healthy fat from your diet at all as long as you are in a caloric deficit. You will not overeat on healthy fats as long as your food is dense in essential nutrients because you wil reach hunger satiety much quicker.
Can you please make a video on the main channel probably; about the fear mongering surrounding masturbation and no fap? Many big influencers *cough* Ranveer *cough* have atleast one podcast per week that demonizes masturbation. Whereas some other content creators say its perfectly healthy as many times as you want. No one talks about a middle ground. Addiction to anything is bad. But going to the point of saying that masturbation will ruin your life, destroy you etc. just feels like fear mongering to me. A guest on Beerbiceps hindi also said that there's no research that proves the health benefits of masturbation. A simple Google search showed me that there's some research. I agree that being addicted to it to a point of it becoming compulsive behaviour is bad. But demonizing it seems unfair. Can you please talk about it?

Don't use fat burners it's very dangerous for you, so please stop looking for short cuts instead stick to a proper diet and working out. Take it slow and it's healthy for you
No, it's not just about caloric deficit. let me explain. Let's say I maintained a total caloric deficit of 2000 calories compared to my maintenance level over the course of a month. During this time, I engaged in effective workouts and consumed adequate protein. Surprisingly, I might find that I gained 2 kilograms in weight. It's commonly understood that gaining 1 kilogram of muscle requires around 2000 calories, while losing 1 kilogram of fat typically necessitates approximately 8000 calories. Therefore, with a 2000-calorie deficit, it's plausible that I could gain 3 kilograms of muscle, totaling 6000 calories, and lose 1 kilogram of fat, which requires approximately 8000 calories, by the end of the month.

Thankyou man
hey Pranav....
what about fat burner? how it effects our muscles?
Don't use fat burners it's very dangerous for you, so please stop looking for short cuts instead stick to a proper diet and working out. Take it slow and it's healthy for you
can u please make a video on climate change
No, it's not just about caloric deficit. let me explain. Let's say I maintained a total caloric deficit of 2000 calories compared to my maintenance level over the course of a month. During this time, I engaged in effective workouts and consumed adequate protein. Surprisingly, I might find that I gained 2 kilograms in weight. It's commonly understood that gaining 1 kilogram of muscle requires around 2000 calories, while losing 1 kilogram of fat typically necessitates approximately 8000 calories. Therefore, with a 2000-calorie deficit, it's plausible that I could gain 3 kilograms of muscle, totaling 6000 calories, and lose 1 kilogram of fat, which requires approximately 8000 calories, by the end of the month.
you forgot some important topics liver heavy metals and fat loss i don't want weight loss want fat loss and muscle gain at same time
That's relatively harder but can be done. While calorie counting, meet your protein goal, but stay in a deficit

Meanwhile me with inherited diabetes and thyroid issues eating 10s of roti and chicken/fish every meal and still feeling famished after few hours. Barely weight gained and lean forever. Whats the solution to people like me. I wish I could be a little chubby.
I'd get regular blood tests if i were you. Regarding your weight gain problem. Make sure you're consistent with it. One meal of 10 rotis won't cut it. Make sure you're eating in a surplus over a long time. Also take care of your nutrition. Have fruits and veg and meat and fish etc.
@@scienceisdopeThanks Pranav. Right now I am indeed monitoring my glucose levels. I am eating variety of foods when it isn't lunch or dinner, I'm told I am healthy that way. I have stuck to a strength regiment for little over a year but haven't gained the mass in places where I wanted, specifically upper torso build.
Don't worry, a generic predisposition doesn't always mean certainty. Just take care of your diet, especially past 40
