Hi Al from the UK. Great video my man, you deserve more subscribers than you have. You have one of the few channels that i always watch from start to finish. Many others i get bored & skip. Dont want to sound an arse here, but the correct pronunciation of Vanden Plas, is Vanden Pla, the S is silent. Only older folk from the UK like myself will probably know.
You really turned this around this one Al great work and the new wood really lifted the interior you cant really tell the wheels or paint have issues now you've cleaned it up. Also yeah the century old argument of how to pronounce vanden plas most of us across the pond pronounce it as Vanden-plah but many argure it should pronounced Plass but we also abbreviate it to VDP so that way you don't have to pronouce it at all therefore no arguments
That is one Stunning Jag, especially when you consider where it came from and how abused it was! You outdid yourself, Al! I'd be driving that baby all over the place with my nose in the air!!!! LOL It's Beautiful!!!
Al you really have done a lovely job with this beautiful old girl. You’ve been so sympathetic with it, the wood upgrade from the Vanden Plas (it’s’Plaaah’ so you nearly said it correctly!) The Car Wizard’s XJ12 was hugely popular on his channel - there is something so appealing about these XJs! If you think the chrome alloys are rare there, then they are non-existent here in the UK. UK buyers never liked chrome wheels - the Mondeo/Contour had them as an option but apart from the RHD PT Cruisers, Neons and 300Cs that we got, no manufacturer offered them lol. You can’t really tell much difference with the non-VP wood trims in the back doors. Another awesome video Al, you rock.
I changed all my interior trim from crappy grey to the burr walnut wood in my 2005 V70 - it is unfortunately plastic wood but the transformation to the interior was immense. I love the 90s style of leather, chrome and wood. Hate these all -black interiors.
Big Al is getting more and more a perfectionist! Great results on a stunningly beautiful car. Everything you did was worth the effort. Congratulation! I am nearly jealous. But you deserve this vehicle more than me.
Could finally see the paint (up close) all the cracks in the paint is pretty normal for older jags. My 1982 Series 3 XJ6 along with the parts car I had and my buddy’s 1985 Series 3 XJ6 all had the same issue with the paint
You're pretty close to the correct pronunciation, you just don't say the s at the end so it's "vanden plaa" but that new wood looks absolutely amazing, beautiful upgrade
I love this car! If I found one in the same shape It’d grab it as a second car. I’ve had Jags before and I wouldn’t want one to rely on as my only vehicle. Two of them were a ‘67 & ‘66 XKE’s that were pretty reliable other then the well known electrical issues which are not a problem for me in as much as the electronics back then were relatively simple and I’m an electronic engineer. I did replace one alternator with a GM unit with an integral regulator and the heater fan motor with a GM unit. Other then the enormous pain in the a** of having to drop the rear end assembly to do the rear brakes they were pretty good cars. I can’t say the same for the other Jags I had, especially the XJS. Fantastic driving car when it was drivable! You did a splendid job on this Jag. The repair you did on the front bumper came out much better than I expected. Fantastic car to drive, isn’t it?
I've been watching your videos for a long time and seeing your hood up in your intro, few daysago the very same thing happened to me while driving at 60mph! Minor damages, haven't lost my windshield miraculously ! Greetings, from Morocco.
You really have done some work to this car. It is interesting the clean up and the location of parts. I do the same thing. The bleach really got rid of that mold. Stay focused and keep working at it. It is getting better. The comment about the bolts was funny.
A really nice upgrade and some nice attention to detail. It's a shame that the value will not stand it but a respray would really make it into a beauty - well done!
Great job on the car, Al. It is now looking really good - although I have to say I think the hood ornament is pretty hideous (leaping Jag or not) and detracts from the car's otherwise classy looks.
Hi Big Al. What would the sticker price of this gorgeous car be at a used car lot right now as presented? About $4,999 ? Good find, and a great job getting this car ready for the market on your part! I love the 1995 Jag sedans.
Amazing work. Big Al. I like theese years jags which is original that they were built in England. Real product unfortunately , britanin has sold all their cars factories. Hey. By the way. Big al. U got to change Ur intro. Mean the videos starts. Get old need to be changed. And try to get the best

Big Al, your pronunciation of Vanden Plas is correct. It's a Flemish name and the 'S' is sounded.
Good job on the Jag.

Looks good! All those minor improvements add up to a really impressive change. That interior is beautiful.
Great job Al. Jaguar uses the same block of wood per car so each door will match the door on the opposite side..
That is one Stunning Jag, especially when you consider where it came from and how abused it was! You outdid yourself, Al! I'd be driving that baby all over the place with my nose in the air!!!! LOL It's Beautiful!!!
you did an outstanding job with the Jaguar Al, I am very impressed 💯

Now that's a cream puff! Super nice interior. Recline the seat put on some light jazz and cruise...
Very nice car Al, man tire shops that put weights on the outside of nice alloy wheels piss me off lol, have a good week!
I love how much attention you're giving this one.
We're ALL enjoying the increased content. Thanks again.
Big Al is getting more and more a perfectionist! Great results on a stunningly beautiful car. Everything you did was worth the effort. Congratulation! I am nearly jealous. But you deserve this vehicle more than me.
This is nothing new, this is me just making the time to actually finish a call all the way through.

In love with that car man. Did it a solid by fixing her up.

Lol glad to hear your windshield survived

im not jag fan but i like how clean The wood is
Add the wood wheel and shifter and that will be a wrap up
You can even use a very fine steel wool pad to clean plastic chromed parts. It will not damage those finishes either...
A really nice upgrade and some nice attention to detail. It's a shame that the value will not stand it but a respray would really make it into a beauty - well done!
Nice Job on the Jag, Al. Looking forward to more videos. 💯
You are a man of taste and skill 👍🏻🏴
I’m a regular visitor on this channel. Whoever is watching this video, I hope this day will be a great day.
Personally, I think you scored. Really like the 95-97 XJ6.
Great job Al. It is pronounced Vanden Plarr. 👍
Golf clap!! Nice job! Great rebuild
A car anyone would be proud to own and drive .
Great job on the car, Al. It is now looking really good - although I have to say I think the hood ornament is pretty hideous (leaping Jag or not) and detracts from the car's otherwise classy looks.

Jag is on point!
Looks amazing..that's one of my favorite jaguars 👍👍
Muy Bien Grande Al!
Always loved these cars
Would you be tempted selling the car for a good price?
I think I could not sell it: It oozes class inside and on the outside as well!
It would have to be a good chunk of change for me to sell it…it’ll be hard to replace once it’s gone!
You did well here bud. Maybe you can trim down rear door things?
It would cut off the gold design
Nice job!
looks great!
Bro that car is so nice
Hey Al. That's ready for saie.
Anything is for sale for the right price!
Nice Job
Beautiful car
Hey from Vermont

Unfortunately, with the rebuilt title value is about 50% but I wouldn’t sell it for any less than $4995 regardless
Very interesting. Thank you for your response and good luck with the sale.@@bigalsbikeandauto
👍👍👍👍
Looks great

Pip Pip, Cheerio 🤘
That Jaguar Xj6 has the same exact fake wood trim interior pieces my parents Cadillac DTS.
No fake wood here
@rafaelfiallo4123 ;There are small screws connecting in place maybe mimes is different & feels like plastic more then wood
Forgot something Al what about the power Antenna?
Haven’t been able to source one yet
@@bigalsbikeandauto I'll look around and let you know if I find one.
How many vehicles do you have now ?
100?
Somewhere in the range of 65
This Jag and the 4Runner are in my top 10 favorites! One of the Allante’s too.
You should do a little update video on the fleet.
hey! friend, why i can't contact you through FB😪
I received your email, I will reply ASAP!
vanden plas in the UK is pronounced vanden plah, makes no sense, I know...
