The work al put into this car is nothing short of incredible. Had the opportunity to sit inside of it. Nice nice car. Refreshing to see one that’s still in such great condition. Like you said Al, most of these are on owner number 5, with a title Loan against it. Wouldn’t think twice having to take it anywhere. You scored on this one.
This is indeed a big moment Al. An absolute credit to both you and your perseverance and also the task of breathing life into perfectly good cars that are simply thrown away because noone cares or gives any effort. Top work sir!I also totally agree with that cars are grateful that they have been rescued and remain faithful friends. Non-car people simply don't understand or get it. We do though. My V70 was unloved, unwanted and sat folorn at the car lot but she spoke to me somehow and I took her home, upgraded the interior to top spec from many scrapyards and she shines - and she's given me unwavering service for the last 5 years - I love her.
it comes down to time and know how and accepting a bit of risk. I'd love to see my son tackle a car like this - I think he'd really learn a lot and would have something he could be proud of.
You’ve done well, Al, you’ve done very well. 700 dollars all-in to get at least 2 years of trouble-free driving? There are a LOT of people driving around cars who pay that much per month for car payments.
Nice little update there Al, glad to see the Rendezvous is serving you well after all you efforts to save it. Hope to see some more video's on the OG fleet too!
That’s a really nice Buick al !!!! I would have bought that for sure . However if it was a 3.4 I would not have even looked at it . But that 3.5 and the 3.9 are awesome engines !!!! Great job al !!! I love flood cars 💯💯💯
Glad to see the update on the Buick. On another note, I'm glad all is well. Some jerk in another car forum said you had passed away. I was about ready to try and message Anthony and ask. Keep on keepin on Sir!
I have an 07 Rendezvous with 65 thousand miles i bought from a family friend that quit driving at the age of 90 i drive it daily and love everything about it
With something like this, it would be cool to try and contact the original owner and tell them, their car is back on the road, after the flood with very little work.
I used to think cars were inanimate objects too until I rescued/fixed enough of them to realize they carry some kind of "energy" with them. It's almost like they absorb a little bit of the person that commands them as strange as it is to say, I feel that much stronger with the older cars than the newer ones though.
I remember this one!! Wow! Glad to see it's still going good. Looks great! All the naysayers say "oh yeah those flood cars are going to be a nightmare wiring and electrical gremlins. It's gonna rust BLAH BLAH. This just proves them wrong.
Im a GM guy, and i think the Rendevous is an ugly car...BUT what matters most is that YOU like it. The great thing about the USA is we're all entitled to our own opinions on things. Its definitely better looking than it's brother, the Aztek.
