After all this time we finally get to see where this song plays in Reborn, it kinda fits it, being called New World
It's a little funny that the chosen version the remix, and thus the New World, is Abandoned Ship. The theme worked there, but a lot of its feeling comes from better matches the other areas variants played, such as Southern Island. Reaching Cresselia in August, I couldn't pin where the melody was from after remembering it from across the games - well, until now. Based on your comment, did you recognize it quickly instead?

I saw that a few people saying that it was mystical sounding (Like discovering something untouched my human society, etc.). I agree with this, but to me it's more like something was lost, like people might've died here.

It's more of a mystic, yet beautiful sound than a dark lullaby. Like something you'd hear when exploring a beautiful, almost magical forest area, completely untouched by human society and industrialization. Not what you were going for, but still great nonetheless. :) However, I would like to see you revise this theme in a more dark, creepy tone.
I would agree with you, but for me it's extremely creepy in just how slow and methodic the lullaby-ish parts are: The parts that show just those notes seems to bring alive gthe idea that your exploring an ancient ruin that once held hundred's of people, pokemon, and children. It sort of reminds me of a haunting tune that echoes throughout the ship as a little girl's lullaby toy plays on and on forever, as if showing that maybe those people, those children... had never really left even when dead. I, personally, find it an enchanting mix between creepy and cute. I call it, creute! XD

2) Lol. I can see what you mean. Especially at the beginning there is that creepy haunted music box vibe going on. But the majority of the song also has an adventurous "discovering an area that's all mystic and untouched" feel as well. I guess creute is a good way to describe it.

Good luck with that. The nearest abandoned ship to me (the Monte Carlo) is buried in sand or underwater most of the time. Those that are above water are mostly rusted out.
Gotta say, I was expecting something a little bit more epic for the music in game for the Sea Mauville. This... this is what I have been waiting for since I first boarded the Abandoned Ship nearly 10 years ago. Definitely your most epic remix

Man I really just speedran my way through Gen 3 to catch up to Gen 4, 5 and 5.5 before I could get a 3DS for Gen 6. AI didn't realize it at the time but looking back I don't remember much at all from Gen 3. The only memorable thing for me was tracking down Latios, catching it with ultra balls (which was a BITCH!) and EV training him. He was my first EV'd Pokemon ever.
I guess I better replay Gen 3, give it another chance

This has JUST the right amount of spookyness. Love it.
This song... The nostalgia hits really hard. Amongst all the remixers I listen on RUclips, this piece is one of my favorite. It carries so much emotions, it brings peace in a world of noise. It brings hope in a world of despair. It brings mystery in a world of discoveries. It helped me so much in the past, especially when I was writing stories. I mean, when I needed epic songs I would just pop out the Two steps from hell. But when I needed peace and majestuosity, I'd listen to this.
You are more an inspiration to me than this song.
If I listen to this without thinking of the context of the original, then I just get a strong vibe of learning about painful truths from this piece. Like the main character learning about some horrible things that the people that they had always cared about until then did long they first met. Method of learning; said people suddenly turning on the main character, openly saying that the main character has outlived their usefulness. And opening their mouths a little wider to let practically all of their innumerable past atrocities spill out, prompting an extremely painful battle for the main character as the main character tries to defend themselves from the people that they didn't know so well after all.

Wow... this is just... you're amazing.... I can't even think of the right words... it's chill, and then it gets empowering. It has that right amount of creepiness, and doesn't skimp on the mystic and adventurous elements... just... beautiful.
i literally forgot about abandned ship until i found the remix. i remembered how
melancholy it was, how serene, how it was my favorite. The abandoned ship was my
favoritee place in all of hoenn because of the music. it sounds like theres something
else within the ship. A secret, a mystery of sorts waiting to be discovered? Maybe
a creature will pop up from below and seize the ship, finally bringing it down to
the ocean floor? Coupled with the ambience of the ship, it feels like you could just
sit down and relax, perfectly safe, in the tentacool-ridden ship.
Well, isn't there one? Even two... Both hiding in the ship somewhere... One in particular is almost spying on you from the locked rooms in the ship.
Also I know it's been four years but Glitch's music is timeless.

There's something nostalgic knowing that this was the music of Mew "faraway island" in Hoenn games. Those were my first contact to pokemon videogames and I always thought that the Abandoned Ship had something to do with Mew island because of the music xD I miss those times.
I am not going to rest until this remix has at least 600.000 views. Bc I love it I think it deserves more love and views

EmoZebra TheUpset I hate this whole "Smogon vs. VGC" thing that's been going on in the competitive community lately. I love both metagames, and they're completely uncompareable when it comes to playstyle and strategy. Why can't people just accept that preferences are a thing?
I think they should filter all their music through you first, that would make all the games much more interesting, and would make me leave my system on for hours listening to one song, like i have done with this.

I'm pretty sure if the Sea Mauville was that much of an eyesore Hoenn would've removed it ages ago... I mean, yeah, it's an ecosystem now, but still
Remember that that artwork was probably made before Sea Mauville. In the originals it was just some abandoned ship that people trained in.
Even then, it's probably all mouldy and stuff, so I don't see who in the right mind thinks it's safe.
Now you can see all the mangroves growing around it, plus sunken ships act as artificial reefs for fish (pokemon)
The ship probably just ran aground and stayed there. Ever heard of a ship grave yard?
