Wyman could've saved much of the 'orrible last few seasons. And Wyman is right to be proud of Wyla. She was a staunch defender of the Starks. Right to the Frey's faces too.
That statement could've been made about so very many things in Season 6. Long story short: having this scene probably would've necessitated another episode, and who knows how many additional cast members as well as sets and CGI for White Harbor; none of which is possible given the structure the series has established. And also, let's be frank; since the show writers haven't really had much in the way of source material to construct this last season, the quality's gone way down. These people clearly aren't up to GRRM levels.
sebastianwillows No, because at that point it would've been entirely out of context and unnecessary. I mean, with some good writers and a serious reframing, you could have the guy who played Manderly give a speech in which he said the basic spirit of this conversation, without necessarily saying the same thing, which wouldn't make much sense in a vacuum. Still, even then, given that the 'kingindanorf' scene is the first time we've seen Manderly, the show people probably would've been befuddled as to who this fat fuck is who's giving a speech, when it's the little Lady Mormont who's stealing that scene.
Cutting out the shit that is Dorne, some poor Arya scenes and some more shit (and more shit there is) would have given time to create a better storyline for the north and Davos could have traveled and spoken to Manderly over a 3 episode span with like 5 minutes each. Then Manderly and other northern houses could have come to Jon's aid in the last second and the north would actually have done something. (instead of the vale and littlefinger)
The North Remembers. We will never forget the the Red Wedding, nor what happened to Ned Stark nor what has happened to our people. We will avenge Robb Stark, Ned Stark and all those who Northerners who were slaughtered at the Red Wedding. We will wipe out the Freys and Boltons root and stem and exact justice on the Lannisters.

Asha becoming Yara because Asha and Osha are similar and peoples heads wouldn't be able to wrap around that. Carl fookin Tanner. Jeyne Westerling gone thus robbing us of the back story that Tywin approved of the marriage and was working with her House to bring Robb down. So many subtle dumbing down moments that most folk let it slip until it was too late.
Eh there would be pretty major hurdles in delivering info like what you mentioned with the Westerlings organically and subtly enough to avoid basically spoiling the audience on the red wedding. Also we both know that people generally assume that (the majority) TV audiences get bored easy and aren't that attentive, and while they can get over the deaths of their fan-favorite (if done in a satisfying manner) they can't tolerate them being off screen for more than one or two episodes.

They have been northerners for thousands of years.
kwadwo baidoo They’re andals
The northmen give the best speeches, the only speech that comes close to this one is Bucket Wull's, George please just write the damn book before I piss meself.
I hope someday D&D must suffer the hands of the book fans/readers
soyon manlai They‘ll bend the knee or we‘ll destroy them
Its too late their done with their work on season 8 they follow Martin's outline but still fans didn't liked it anyway.
I love Wyman Manderly
The North remembers!
4:32 😂 and all his chins trembled
The North Remembers.
Just a great character
Rip Roy Dotrice
That this was omitted from the show without Ian McNeice playing Lord Manderly...
I hope Willa story ends well.
The North Remembers
There are debts that can never be fully repaid.
This is a lovely pie Wyman
WE WANT WYMAN ON THE SHOW
Estermont Sinclair We did, but only a camero, but in a dispointing way of the show, we have no reason for jon to become the king of the north crowned by some Mormont child
D&D were more interested in shitty fanfiction than actually following the plot.
RIP Roy Dotrice
Fookin' Freys
And may the Frey choke upon their feebles
They didn't even choked upon their cousins.
I love the voice so much
So many people just give up on asoiaf. Did they ever think maybe it just really is taking all this time to finish arguably the most important book in the saga? George says ADOS won’t take nearly as long as Winds did.
U are coping my dear friend
@@1azeyAlthough it is true, ADOS probably shouldn't take that long in comparison, especially since the story is already going to be directed to a more clear place.
@@1azeydon’t judge me
The North Remembers
So does the Trident
Family Duty Honour
Awesome! Is the music from the Audiobook as well? Or is it cued in by you? Regardless, does someone know the name of the second song that comes in during end?
The music is added by the uploader, I listened to all the audiobooks and there was never a backing track. Can't tell you what the second song is, it sounds like one of the dramatic scores from the TV series but can't pinpoint it I'm afraid.
They're both music from the show. First one is "Winterfell" from season 2, second is "I Have to Go North" from season 3.
Ultimate chad moment
Walder Frey better keep his enemies close, the North Remembers...
RIP Roy Dotrice 😢
