- In this video I go over why you shouldn't buy from Republicbricks, my personal experiences with buying from him, and the biggest problem that his business has.

great you’re talking about this guy, Ryan kept him on the hype train for too long, I even made a comment saying “you criticize Lego for the smallest things but you can look passed so many of rebpubkicbricks,” he replied saying “because Lego is an actual company?” Which is just silly considering republic bricks is a company, a company that charges a high price for used bricks and a mediocre build.
Yet M&R will constantly shill him and give him free advertising by covering his "amazing" mocs that arent even his mocs.

Not to mention he'll complain about the stability of the builds and give blanket claims that ALL mocs are unstable since they aren't official lego. Yet for some reason I've never seen M&R build anything from Ransom_Fern or any other highly rated moc creators. I wonder why? 🤔

Seriously don't know how someone like MandRProductions is still actively being sponsored by RepublicBricks when Ryan 1000% knows the shit that RB pulls to all his customers. And please never buy from any of his “mystery” sets because they always end up being absolutely horrible and the worst value for your money
Exactly what happened to me, I bought three mystery sets and they arrived and were all the exact same crappy build, he could have at least sent three different crappy builds...

Not only is his communication terrible but his prices are insane. He’s got an anakin vs Obi wan MOC the size of a $30 set and it’s priced at $200. Ridiculous
Nothing has changed with him since 2015. I was around when he first started doing livestream auctions and all of these issues were present there. Especially the awful communication, rude/belittling/insulting/blocking responses to anyone who questions his methods or has an issue with their items. It’s sad that he is still leaving such a bad mark on the lego community.
Funny how he always sends pristine sets to top RUclipsrs like Mando Productions, but garbage to those of us without clout.
my issue with rb was
I bid on a Jedi Revan custom, the last bid i put was $40 (which is dumb in hindsight now) and I got outbid so I left his stream. I was expecting an invoice for 2 figs i got prior to the jedi revan and he sent me a $40 invoice for the Revan. I asked "What's the deal with this? I didn't win this and got outbid on it" and he said "we had another one so we decided to give it to you" without ever consulting me if I wanted it at all, just put it on me. I refused to pay the $40 for the Revan and had already paid for my other 2 figs so I never got those 2 since I didn't pay for a figure I didnt win.
They were shill bidding it up.
Never ordered from them, but seen MandR reviews. RepublicBricks "UCS" turbo tank is literally the clone wars turbo tank with more parts and just tiled over.
And from constant other feedback and such, (poor quality control, having to pay extra for figures he buys from CAC, half the sets not tested before selling for durability/construction, etc.) Has cemented me not going after his products. Rather go to rebrickable to find a moc i like or brickvault.

He obviously has horrible business management, you should not have to contact him to "remind" him to ship items. Absolutely ridiculous.
The biggest red flag for me, and the most random one is the fact that republican bricks posts his religious views on his social media adverts. It’s an incredibly tacky thing to do with a business, especially a business that revolves around something inclusive like Legos. It’s a very trivial aspect, but I think it’s telling of one’s character to feel the need to force their religious ideologies onto others in that way through your scammy business. Also too, the giveaways he did were an obvious blatant scam. When you have to post google image pictures of your alleged rare giveaway item, thats another clear red flag. And the manner he did it in was an obvious grift.
Lego is only "inclusive", because the ESG and DEI propaganda makes them or they will not get more funding. Just new age lobotomy to mutilate and medicate innocent children.

I bought a republic shuttle from him and couldn’t even finish it with how many pieces I was missing and since they don’t include a part list I couldn’t identify what pieces I was truly missing. $280 dollars down the drain

Was promised to get a free couple of figures after him delaying shipping something I had ordered in december 2022, it didn't ship until May 2023. Didn't get figures and the build didn't fit together well at all.
i’ve experienced:
the missing parts issue,
the delayed shipping issue,
the gaslighting through changing the product page with a different shipping date issue,
the refund because you weren’t allowed to but it issue.
It’s mostly a place to gamble but what you get is very rarely that good. It’s truly surprising that he doesn’t source better models at the very least. he spread himself too thin and accepts too many orders still that take a long time to fulfill. I get that he hast to source the bricks, which makes sense that there’s sometimes a bit of a delay. But that means he should not offer same-day shipping, because he definitely does not do that. Something being shipped a week later is not same-day. He needs to set realistic expectations on shipping times and maintain a balance of orders to parts to staff that can fulfill them.
I really think MandR needs to not be affiliated with RB anymore no matter what he gets paid, because all these people respect him and feel safer buying from RB then when they do they get scammed. Its not helping the situation.
I ordered something on December 15th and it’s going to ship on January 17th. Not impressed
As a Finnish person, if I order something from a 2 hour drive away, I will be lucky if it comes in 3 months.

Republic bricks is EXTREMELY well known for having terrible customer service. Obnoxious and arrogant
I just built the UCS Ebon Hawk. Terrible experience...Missing so many pieces and instructions sucked so bad. The ship kept falling apart as I was building. I was seriously thinking about using glue (which I never use) but I ended up doing my own modifications and fixing many issues myself.
I ordered 2 sets as Christmas presents around thanksgiving time 2022. After Christmas came and went I emailed him and he said it’d ship in the coming weeks. Weeks went by and I emailed again. Same thing. Just a few more weeks. I email and request a refund and he said “they already shipped”. I get a tracking number like 5 days later. Box shows up and only a of 2 sets is in there. I email and he says the other one was cancelled and refunded. 2 days later I see a notification for a refund (this is 3 months later). I build the set he sent. It’s missing double digit pieces and the pieces that were included were yellowed and dirty. He offered to send me the missing pieces. I told him to forget it and chucked it in the garbage. Nightmare to deal with.
Yeah worst experience I have had with a company. Just finished up having to deal with him. I placed an order back in July of 2023 that was suppose to ship in August. When it didnt ship I had to reach out see what was going. Over the next few months the ship date kept getting pushed back. Package finally arrived in November and was the wrong items. I had to return the order and just now got my refund. Communication was terrible throughout and definetely dont believe the excuses he had.
A while back I bought a mini Republic Dropship with AT-OT from him and it was missing two pieces from the tiny amount of pieces it had in the first place, so I'm already not buying anything from him again lol
I’m in a Lego Star Wars Facebook group and people there often talk about how they bought something from him and theres always missing and or very damaged pieces. With that and the poor designs I don’t see a single reason for ordering from this person. Plenty of people sell instructions for good mocs.

IMO i've always thought RB preyed on Lego star wars fans by drawing them in with appealing custom models, and then having all of them be overpriced, have questionable structural integrity, and subpar pieces. It wouldn't even be that bad if the instructions were available to purchase on their own, but nope, you have to deal with his shady business practices
When you buy custom, you roll the dice. LEGO is unmatched for a reason. Better instructions, better integrity, better parts usage. Custom builders always end up with bulky “aesthetic” builds that sacrifice integrity. Still appreciate a good rebrickable mod, but it’s never gonna compare (unless we start talking Castle customs, surprisingly good there)

I bought an echo from him (in a build a battlepack thingy) because echo is my favourite, but then he sent a jesse so I contacted him and he said he’d send it to me if I sent the jesse back but only if I paid the fee both ways, and for a person living in the uk that is quite expensive for me. I asked him if I could just buy the echo separately and that was in 2021 April and he still hasn’t responded

Ya my experiences buying from him havnt been great either.
Fully Agree. I was curious about his sets so I decided to place a couple small orders to see for myself. One of the things I ordered was a pre-order, and the other was available right away. I received an email confirming my order and saying the non pre-order would be sent ASAP, and the other would be sent when available. I then went almost 6 weeks without hearing anything. I sent an e-mail, and about two weeks later I received a response saying they only ship complete orders... Fine, not that big of a deal. After about another 3 weeks the order was shipped. Once I received it I started to put the sets together. The first set had several pieces that looked like somebody had chewed on them (not just bite marks), and the other had 6 missing pieces, and several that were the wrong color. I contacted him, and it took almost a month for him to get back to me, and when he did he said I needed to order the pieces from bricklink, and he would give me a credit for the cost.
Fortunately I was able to find/replace all the pieces I needed at my local Bricks and Minifigs, and I ended up selling one of the sets on eBay, and only lost about $15 total. But, never again
I don’t really like Republic Bricks, he’s done a lot more than just selling subpar LEGO set recolours. He’s also sold laughably bad customs and he’s a scalper too that’s in leagues with others who were a part of the sole cause of minifigure prices rising. I don’t ever want to do business with him as he is not a reputable seller on top of his other atrocities I mentioned.

I’ve only purchased from republicbricks twice. First time was some small ATRT and I got it on time, second time was like a $90 mystery box which ended up being about 2 months late after I messaged him about it a few times but I ended up getting a pretty awesome and sturdy shadow AT-AP. I agree that communication and timing is a major issue. I do think the builds are actually pretty solid, and the majority of the pieces you get are fine, but I’m not sure about your gunship 😂
His prices are pretty ridiculous though, especially considering the pieces are not new
Yeah I've unfortunately had a very similar experience. Ordered from him twice, had to harass him to actually get my stuff both times. This last time I had go bug him to get my order, finally came and it said part of your order has shipped separately and now a month and a half later it's still not here. I actually have no problems with the build quality, their builds are obviously far more fragile than traditional lego with connections that Lego would never do bc they break so easily, but that's a trade off for generally higher detail. They're display models vs official lego sets which are often meant to be played with. But yeah simply because of the customer service I don't see myself ordering from them again.
Let's not forget how he was kicked off Whatnot for sending different things than what was on camera. People were receiving junk rather than the good condition stuff on camera.

I’ve never purchased from Republic Brick and never plan to either, there models don’t meet my standards, most are just recolored Lego sets. It seems like every video about them that isn’t from M&R is about asking if they scam, talking about their terrible costumer service, bad quality or other shady practices. When I buy custom sets, I normally buy from Brickmania where I can get things that Lego themselves would never do like military. I understand they are completely different companies since RB is a small business and BKM has five retail locations and has higher prices, but you get what you pay for with them. Totally original designs that actually have heart put into them, excellent quality with 100% new condition pieces with great shipping time and customer service.
I’m posting this 4 weeks late and after seeing the 200+ comments on this video, something like 90%+ of them project a negative outlook of RB. The only negative aspect people tend to have with BKM are there prices which normally comes from non customers who just judge something they don’t know about. BKM is justified their prices numerous times and I agree they are indeed worth the price. With RB, almost all media surrounding around them is negative, from YT vids and comments and definitely ensured I wont ever be buying from a company that shows no care or appreciation for their customers. Unlike RB at least with BKM, you get what you pay for and I actually feel appreciated as a customer. I’ve purchased from them for years now and can say everything I’ve received from them from figures to kits was worth every last penny.

Mystery boxes are fun if you have a little extra to spend. Getting something cool from a random selection can create a similar dopamine hit to a hot streak of gambling. Of course, its only worth the "roll of the dice" if the sellers reputable. Which republic bricks appears not to be.
Source; i greatly enjoy buying random lego minifigure bags and brick tacticals various grab bags, because i enjoy the mystery of what im going to get.

personally i bought a mystery set for 20 dollars to ship to the eu (might i add that the shipping was quite expensive) then a few weeks pass and i got an import tax to pay, and it was for a dumb little bag for crying out loud so i had to pay fucking 40 euro's import tax because he never even puts disclaimers anywhere ever meaning i should have never had to pay import tax but i did and the worst part is that i got a crappy build and had to pay nearly 70 dollars it, never again. rather just buy random bricks from bricklink and build my own crappy lego build with more pieces and less spent

I feel ya bro. He sent me a custom Padme that didn’t include a head. I paid 25 bucks for a headless Padme lol. He also sent my friend a gunship with yellowed bricks that was over 200 bucks. He is terrible at communicating and he just seems to not care about anything but making a buck.

Bought 4 random clones during their black friday sale. All 4 had mismatched colors and “helmets” printed on white minifigure heads
I've bought a few things from RB. The items that weren't mystery boxes were actually nice sets. Mystery boxes were very underwhelming to say the least. My main beef is with the ridiculously long shipping times which take more than 2 months in most cases.
Just so no one gets as confused as i was: republic bricks is not the same as brickrepublic.
Got one for Christmas a few years ago. The A7 Cannon (i think that's what it's called). It falls apart easily, and at first there were a few missing bricks that I was able to remedy, but then when I went to build the feet, there were ZERO pieces for any of the FOUR feet! Terrible company.
Edit: I should add that the item was bought in November/December, but came in late FEBRUARY.
His biggest scams are the mystery lego stuff for suspiciously cheap. Only because it’ll be $5 (then plus shipping) for a fig and only get a fig worth $1
I don’t buy sets from RB because; ONE, they’re way too expensive even for LEGO MOC, TWO the sets all come with warnings about fragile, damaged, and used parts, and THREE the minifigs themselves are worth more than the actual MOC sets themselves. I get that LEGO no longer makes certain parts, but maybe he can fix things by creating something new outta current parts. Maybe create something using parts LEGO uses in other sets.

Yea, after that black Friday mystery clone bag thing I'm never buying from him again. I used to think most his stuff was over priced and I didn't really mind doing the mystery boxes and stuff because i more liked the surprise, I especially liked the mystery clone stuff because clones are my favorite. So when I saw a massive sale on clone customs, I bought like 20 of them. And they were all the same fucking clone with a printed head piece and no helmet with blank arms and just lazy designs. Never again will I order from him, and I used to be one of his supporters when people would say he's a scam.
I ordered like 3 sets a while back so I could get a so called “free gift with purchase.” He ended up cancelling 2 of the sets and only sent me one and it didn’t even have the free thing in it. Also the build techniques he used weren’t even possible so I can’t even build it now.

Dude used to be okay, but he has seriously gone down hill, bad quality builds that don’t hold together, missing pieces, awful custom minifigs now, it’s rough. I used to be an avid fan but I honestly gave up after so many issues with either poor customer service or bad deals that felt I was waisting my money because they were advertised as one thing and were actually something worse
I always wanted to get some stuff off of replublic bricks because thats like the main non lego seller every big lego youtuber boasts about. I will not be doing that after seeing this. Thank you for your honesty

MandR has ripped into him several times that I remember the stuff he gets from RB probably has some sort of quality control so there’s likely less issues than a normal person would have

What’s worse to me, however, is that Ryan blows off or completely ignores the crappy service history, threats to sue people who complain, etc. I love Ryan’s channel, but he loses credibility when he shills for Timmy.

Dude is a through and through scammer. Promises shipping dates and misses them by months and will offer “mystery boxes” with claimed values which are all bs and made by him or WONT EVEN BE ON THE SITE. So done with him

i ordered 8 random mystery bag builds and i received a naboo speeder 7 times, and 5 obi wans, took about 3 months for everything to arrive, i wont purchase from them again.

This same thing happened to me. Bought a republic attack shuttle from RB. He kept changing the ship date on the website but never made me aware of it. I ordered the set in June and got it November. Whats worse is that he lowered the price several times so i paid more for pre ordering it early. Wont be buying from him again.
Yup, I stopped and removed him on everything. If you pay attention to pre-ordered mystery box, he’ll add a crappy new version of something after the mystery box period ends. Additionally, there will be no pictures of the “new version”. Was able to win a PayPal claim and get a refund. Multiple red flags and you’ll get the cheap options for everything no matter how many you get/how much you pay. My ending line was the mystery box gunship and yeah multiple ship dates getting pushed back two months just to get crap. That mystery box he added a new V3/4 gunship 2 weeks after I ordered / when I wasn’t paying attention to it. That version only had 133 pieces.
And he does use a lot of knockoff parts. Some figures, if not most, are 75% knockoff parts.
For the record I am not the republic bricks I am a different republic bricks 😎

That's such bullshit, failing to meet a contract ina purchase in this context sounds like fraud at best. If you state that something comes with a payment and you fail to provide that, you're scamming & legally that is breach of contract.
Ive heard he steals most of his builds from the bricklink mocs page, and a lot of his figs are resales from clone army customs, and other shops. It’s also super easy to find evidence of him being homophobic, and antisemitic. For the religious persona he tries to push his integrity is pathetic.

He bought from my store once and to give some insight, he place two different orders and in the comment section he told me to write something (the set it was going to) my impression is he sources all the parts through Bricklink and assembles the packages from different sellers without actually verifying contents. That is why quality is lack. The people he is buying from are the main issue but he doesn't catch the problems because of the volume and inherent time required
As a European who has never had any experiences with this seller, this sounds poorly organized. All this gives me a feeling that Republic Bricks will order his parts via bricklink and buying the cheapest deal possible. Of course, some parts will be in poor quality then. But he wont‘t notice since he simply throws the bricklink orders into a new packaging, ads his instructrions (if its a moc) and then ships it to the final customer. Sounds like a reseller who just doesn‘t take the time to quality check the stuff he resells.
Bruh I ordered two orders a week apart order 1 arrived all sets were missing pieces. Order 2 hasn’t even arrived it’s been a month and a half
I'm glad you made this video! I have considered buying from him in the past but I was afraid of things that you mention on your video! To be honest if I want to build a custom I'll rather do it myself, specially if the waiting time is that crazy, in the same timeframe I could just make a series for progress on a moc. I ordered a v wing from him in mid December. He said it would ship on December 30. It still hasn’t shipped to this day. I really wanted to support RepublicBricks, but I don’t think I’ll buy anything from him again.
Have a pretty bad experience here too, I made an order almost 3 months ago and it was supposed to ship almost a month ago now, every time I ask for email updates I’ve either been given incorrect information or told that it will ship by a certain date and then it doesn’t.
Lol I’m a fool never do blind bags , but 150 spent and got like 3 30 dollar a pop sets just dumped In a bum a and chalked it up as a loss
One of our sets didn’t include the minifigure at all. He just stopped responding after saying it was being sent separately.

My previous experiences weren't that bad and I had to many good ideas for videos. After this most recent experience though I starred to realize that the precious problems weren't just misunderstandings, but just him being bad at running a business.
@@LegoBuilder-nj1xq Having the perspective of one guy and his multiple items having issues was definitive compared to isolated incidents from different so it was worth it in that sense
