The Perfect LEGO Minifigure Scale Using My Math Degree

  • I've had a few questions about the Master Mouldie Minifigure Scale (catchy, right) over the last year and thought it was about time for me to make an updated video. After all, I doubt many people are getting far enough into the old video to hear what I had to say. While my scale remains unchanged over these 10 months, I have built many more models that scale down to the height of a typical LEGO fig: 4cm. I hope this finds you useful and if there is any other way you use, please do share it in the comments!!!

    So what i did for my pirate ships and correct me if im wrong. I took the official blueprints of the black pearl took the refference figure on the blueprint and scaled the image until the figure was 4 cm in height. From there i printed the blueprint on A1 paper and started building from there. Im terrible at math and the sizes of many potc ships aren't available at all.

  • @ernesto2608
    @ernesto2608 2 месяца назад +3

    I'd say these are really good points but i think minifigure scale is more of a range since minifigures aren't completely proportinal to humans. Take Yoda as an example, he should be much shorter in the films only reaching everyone elses legs but in lego form he reaches their shoulders. Lego is more of an exaggeration and like other art there can be perception and illusion tricks that help vehicles scale better to each other

    • @mastermouldie
      @mastermouldie  2 месяца назад

      My fig scale is purely based on the height of the common fig, so there are definitely some gaps. Someone else mentioned a scale taking into account the width of figs too and I think that would be hilarious! Perhaps we need a LEGO yoda scale for his ships 😂
