So I expect republic commando sometime soon from you, yeah bb?
I played a first person hack and slash star wars game as a kid which I think is worse than this game
Star wars old republic is the best just saying
i played this as a kid on the wii which i think your supposed to play this on the wii cause core features are gone on ports like on the clone missions you can actually aim you blaster and the hacking mini game as clones was a lot more dynamic and fun I remember as a kid i only played the clone missions and it was pretty fun
So why does this core thing look like scam?
Kevduit: "This is the worst game ever"
10 year old me: "You have insulted the ancients gods"
agreed
Agree, I loved that Game when I was 12 years old
Yep though I couldn’t ever figure out why the game was rated T. Like shouldn’t it have been E10. I mean the tv show is rated for kids.
I actually had the pleasure to talk to one of the developers years ago about this game. They said they were originally planning on creating an open world RPG game, until Lucasfilm forced the developers to instead create a linear game.
Management now: “Open world! Open world! Originally linear gameplay? Boom make it an open world!”
Fun fact as well, these developers, Krome Studios, were the same developers who made the last Gen versions (PlayStation, Wii & PSP) of The Force Unleashed.
@@strikerecho2592 did you ask why those versions were basically a different story?
@@ZyroShadowPony No, I forgot to ask him about that. The only thing I remember is when I mentioned the last Gen version of the game to him, he told me that when it came to the single player campaign portion of the game Lucasfilm games used their game’s cutscenes and gameplay as a reference for their HD version.
@@ZyroShadowPony one of the console for force unleashed had a different developer. There is a RUclips video explaining it somewhere.

You obviously never played Star Wars The Clone Wars Adventures!(it's coming back).
I played this when I was little and I thought it was pretty fun as well
This is a perfect example of Nostalgia Blindness, because this game was my childhood, and in my eyes, can do no wrong… until I hear Kevduit making complete sense about the issues he has with the game. Then my Nostalgia turns to “Dumb games I liked as a kid.”

This is the best game ever, holy shit!
She even deactivates her lightsaber

Yep I replayed it there's definitely no T posing at 11:45

Truly a magnificent game, the depth of humor the developers have entirely intentionally added to it is not just revolutionary, it is also hilarious.
I do not believe we will ever witness another masterpiece like it in our lives, greatness is not easy to achieve and takes a long, long time. At best we will see some wannabe game of the years trying to somehow replicate the sheer awesomeness of this title but ultimately failing. Because what is a game of the year in comparison to the game of all eternity?
We, as the human race, have peaked with Star Wars The Clone Wars Republic Heroes.
Amen.

I remember replaying the Clone trooper levels over and over again as a kid. Something about just being a soldier with a gun as opposed to a Jedi with a lightsaber appealed to me.
That's the shit I love about battlefront 2004
Me too! Loved to play it with my brother because it was like my first 1st/3rd person shooter
My ass would do the Halo thing, where I'd make sure I had a big ass squad of clones and do my best to never let them die lmao
So did you play Republic Commando? That was a great game to experience that. My uncle is similar, he always liked playing Jedi Knight/Outcast/Academy games with guns rather than the lightsaber.
I thought I was the only one!
This game was a huge asset for Star Wars RP in Garry's Mod. That is about the best thing it did for the Star Wars community. The devs would have been better off just making all the models available for download than making a game lol. Playing this as a kid though wont lie was dope.
I use the character models in xcom 2 as soldier skins XD
"Quit making jokes Ahsoka, I'll quit playing the game from laughing so much" T-Poses and shuts off saber ( 11:50 )

My favorite star wars quote still comes from this game.
"If you try to run, I blow you to pieces. If you shoot at me, I blow you to pieces. If you let the droids get too close to my cargo..."
"You blow us to pieces. We get the picture."
* "IF YOU [ ]; SHE DIES" escalates *
“Thermal detonator you find. Much damage these do. Much damage. Yes” is now my favourite Yoda quote. On a side note I remember playing this game and getting stuck at some point, I remember feeling very accomplished every time I did anything because of how difficult it was.
2:31 I like how Yoda tells you that you can double jump and that it's easy, but when you do, you stay at the exact same height you were the first time you jumped
This game unearthed a memory of Star Wars: Republic Heroes on the DS. I was only able to pass the first level because the game was too confusing and difficult for me as a child. I’d always pick it up, reset, beat the first stage. And quit soon after.
Like this it was a notorious platformer that had no sense of directions
i played this on the ps3 a long time ago as well
A young me had a very good time playing this game and older me not so much, damn everything was so good when you were younger 😂
IT WAS LITERALLY HELL ON THE WII
Is it bad that I could never beat the tutorial for Modern warfare when I was a small child, I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHAT TO DO
I thought I'd sold it but turns out I still have Star Wars The Clone Wars Jedi Alliance also for the DS. You like games that are controlled purely with the touch screen? Cause I don't, and young me really didn't. Gave up after the first level. Decided to try it again today for old times sake. Yeah the controls still suck.
The presentation really is the selling point. You can pick any two out of six playable Jedi per level and they have fully voiced interactions with each other for each stage.
5:54 "Faster than reloading, switching to your secondary is"

I own this game. Beat it as a kid. I remember hating the Jedi sections, so I replayed the clone sections over and over. It has not aged well
I Loved the Clone Missions as a Kid. It was my favorite Game for at least a year
As a kid , this was game was brilliant , even though i nevrr finished it
I never finished it either lol
Same 😂
I think I finished it? Still a banger though
LOL same, i got stuck at some point
I'm pretty sure any game u play as a kid seems brilliant even if it's horrible
No, this game is perfectly mediocre at worst. Other than the parts where you jump on the hovering stealth droids. Someone took the time to make Cad Bane's ship a clear relative of the Stormtrooper Transports from the original X-Wing and TIE-Fighter games. They did not have to do that. That's care.
Having one detail does not a good game make.
@@Nirroir Having the game hand you the same three tutorials through out the whole game definitely takes it from mediocre to bad imo, no matter how well the art team did.
aRoUnD tHe SuRvIvOrS a PeRiMeTeR cReAtE the video game.
I learned to tune out yoda, it felt like a mildly interactive episode or two of the cartoon. And the setting work on the ryloth level was great.
They did accidentally leave in a strong inplication you leave several squads of clones to die by making pne of the obstacles on the final STAP escape an exchange of red and blue blaster fire. Unless the clones were deploying autoguns that's a squad at least on ewch of the couple floors you pass left to die.
@@Nirroir He said mediocre "at worst". He obviously does not think the worst of this game because he mentioned the "care" they had to put in one insignificant detail, meaning he thinks it's at least decent if not good. The question is, do YOU need help?
11:37 is actually not stupid. Soldiers have called long marches "humping" since at least Vietnam.
I remember saving up all my allowance for WEEKS, I did extra chores for my parents and grandparents to earn money, then I bought this game at walmart, got home, put it in my PS2, and even at 8 years old 30 minutes in I knew I had been absolutely screwed.
This wasn't released for PS2 though?
@@Animorphster No i did check but apparently i missed it, i admit it, my mistake.

This game was good on the Wii. You can actually aim with the wii remote as the clones which just feels better. The only part that was bad was the jumping mechanics, but over time you could understand them. I always had fun playing this and I would go back and play it after watching this if my Wii still worked.
I feel like that's the crux of the mechanical issues with this game - it was specifically made with Wii controls in mind, and this is a port to a system that doesn't have that as an input.
This totally explains why I remember it being better than this
exactly man the game was so awesome on the Wii
i played the entire game multiple times when i was a kid. needless to say i was dying in my seat
You know regardless of how this game holds up, it proves we need far more Star Wars games taking place during the clone wars with peak light side anakin and a large roster of jedi and padawin to play as.
Yes, yes we fuckin do
1:59 I love that Anakin immidietly gets hit by a blaster laser when he starts jumping
thx i was looking for this comment
The only person to ever hit they're target in the star wars series
I remember having a lot of fun with the Wii version of the game - mainly because of the clone missions. Aiming was much easier and the perspective was more of a third-person angle.
Agreed. The clone missions were my favorite
it was fun on the wii
this is one of those games where you might remember enjoying it in your childhood but when you look back on it you realize that its sorta garbage
kinda sad how that works. I wish (at times) I could just wear those rose colored glasses again, remember those old games like I did as a kid
I loved this game as a kid. The Clone sections were so much fun to me.

Seriously? A metaverse game ? I thought there couldn‘t be a worse sponsor than raid.
Could not skip it any faster
I honestly want a Clone Wars video game with graphics like this on modern systems.
Even if the story's filler stuff, just playing around in what would essentially be an episode of the Clone Wars would be really cool.
Lego clone ward is playable on xbox series x as is the o.g battlefront 2
Closest you can get is Lego Star Wars 3 which follows the first 2 or 3 seasons

Yoda: Double jump you can. Easy it is.
Anakin: *LIAR!*
This game was fun as hell if you played it with a friend, jumping around doing parkur, hacking devices as a clone, controlling robots, it was a high quality game.
That show is as just soooooo fucking awesome. The lightsaber fights were just so cool, and the writing was surprisingly really well done.
This game however...not so much.
Kev is back at it again unlocking childhood memories i totally forgot about
11:30 MASTER!! Our men!!! *Gets hit by 2 rockets and dies*
I actually remember having good memories from this game, I used to love playing it coop with my bestfriend back in school days, especially as clones.
It would seem that The Incredibles Revenge of the underminer would fit right next to this one. Lovely game!
I loved that game as a kid. I bet I'd have a different experience with it now
I mean considering you could finish it in like 1 and a half hours then yeah…
Hey, the GBA one was pretty great!
...says man who hasn't played it decades.
I forgot how kid friendly the clone wars were at the start. But when that phase II clone armour came in the show started going hard. I dare even say its peaked at bad batch, an animated star wars show exploring heavier themes and actually introducing tension feels unheard of.

You just unlocked a childhood memory of me keeping the game on overnight at my grandma, because it required Windows Live to save your progress and I didn't have an account.
Good times, terrible game, and terrible gaming service. The Clone levels were fun tho, even if I am absolutely biased in that department since Clones are my favorite characters in the series.
Now that explains why the progress never saved on my computer.

This game caused my parents to divorce. I remember my dad not wanting me to buy it since we'd already spent a lot of money, but my mother called him out for being obsessed with money and too focused on work. They argued the entire way back home. The divorce was one month later. I later got a game, and put it down after playing once.

At 11:51 Ashoka literally asserts her dominance and T-poses 😂.
Fun story, I remember the way I got this game and how much I hated it, but played it as to not let my mom know.
Basically, I was chilling, playing games and my mom was at Walmart. She calls me up asking if I want a game (this is super rare for me, I have had to buy my own games since I was 10) so I at the time was 12, got super excited, she gave me 3 options and I took the one I recognized the name of, “Star Wars”, not the Star Wars heroes name in totality.
Essentially, she came back and I came to realize that the only fun part of that game was when you played as the clone troopers. And that I sold it at a GameStop like 2 years later.
I will say, one impressive thing about this game is how close it looks to the actual show, taking technical limitations of the time into account.
This unlocked many deeply buried childhood memories, although oddly only of the first level, and the cutscenes must have been purged from my brain entirely because I still don't remember them. That being said, I would still argue that this game has something over any other Star Wars game, that being that a lot of enemies die in one hit to a Jedi, like they're being hit with, you know, an actual lightsaber
I remember getting this game when I was 8 or 9 thinking "Wow, this game is awesome!" Now as an adult I think "Wow, what made me think this game was awesome?"
It was just a dumb fun game made for kids, that's all. It's not meant to be Ratchet & Clank or Crash Bandicoot level of quality
11:37 Rex X Anakin ship mode is in motion… 😂😂

I think yoda escaped from a mental asylum and proceeds annoy every padawan jedi Knight and the jedi Council.
Secretly, this game is why order 66 happened, Palpatine played it, and decided the madness needed to end
Unironically this was the first non Lego star wars game I never played, and I liked it a lot more than I probably should have, probably because it had similar mechanics to said Lego game. Ah well, at least I got Lego star wars the clone wars.
"discount bin" and "brand new" being used in the same sentence tells a whole ass fucking story with just four words.
Are we gonna talk about how in the thumbnail, Ahsoka is literally on her knees pushing a button (trying to activate something ig??), while at the same time deflection rifle shots?
I remember playing this as a kid and absolutely loving it for some reason. Probably would hate it today, but I remember the cool slicing and fire fights

"Brand New" and "Discount Bin" in the same sentence should already be a MAJOR red flag. 😂
I remember this game fondly. Playing on my PS2, I finished the whole game in a few days. It was really good to me at the time, but I never played it again after, so that's why I never got to understand why people dislike the game so much.
What makes this even better is that your voice sounds so similar to the clone wars Anakin Skywalker
I remember 6 or 7 year old me being sick one day and my dad picked me up from school, we went to Walgreens, got some pink medicine, a sprite, a bag of Reese’s, and this absolute gem that I played for hours with my brother
