The BT speakers are not designed or manufactured by the British amp company Marshall. The Swedish company Zound industries pays Marshall a brand license to make these bt speakers. In fact, just last week I believe, Zound has acquired Marshall fully.

You can make it battery powered by getting one of those powerbanks with an outlet, if you got 580 bucks for a speaker, you got the moneu for a powerbank😂

The Stanmore is priced lower than the Woburn, you're thinking of the Acton

They need to work on the DSP they have built into those speakers. I think that's where JBL is outperforming a lot of those other speakers
these marshall headphones and speakers are somehwat tricky because they suggest that they are actually produced by marshall, the amplifier company
but in fact its only a marshall branding while the speakers are produced by Zound industries

The marshal is ported versus the sealed JBL Which personally I prefer.
I play guitar and I am not a fan of Marshall amps, but these speakers are amazing. I might have to reconsider Marshall amps.
It sounds tip top to me I just wished the EQ was much more detailed so it could have the classic flossy V shape EQ

And the bass on the Marshall extensions lower than the jbl

Unfortunately you can’t play copyrighted music on RUclips.
No lossless codecs for bluetooth only SBC... :( So if you have TIDAL / Qobuz (CD and up quality) the speaker will receive MP3 "quaity"... For the price that is a major no, honestly...
A long 3.5mm aux Cable makes this thing the best plug and play speaker on the market.

The JBL seems louder, but very distorted. The Marshall is not quite as loud but the sound is clean and clear with a richer bass and a clearer mid range and trebble. I think the Marshall sounds and looks better.

You have to pair it with an Audio Techinca or Sony turntable bluetooth. It sounds insane. I have the Woburn 2 .

Love watching ur reviews floss, u do great work and give honest opinions. I agree with most of ur opinions when it comes to sound quality. But the ONLY thing I don't understand is how u blast all these speakers u test at MAX volume. I have NOT found a speaker that I enjoy listening to at MAX volume. They ALL sound horrible IMO. Even the most expensive ones. Its OVERworking the speaker and its speaker abuse. Lol. 😆. 75%-80% volume is the loudest i play my speakers. I honestly feel that's the best loudest, clearest, sound best u will get out of any speaker.
These speakers are all advertised as zero distortion at maximum volume, therefore I have to test that.

JBL is definitely better performing for Hiphop, and pop, whilst Marshal seems to perform better on Jazz and Rock music. To me Marshal sounds more crisp whilst we can hear warmer all-round sound in the Boombox. The bass seemed to be meaty and warmer in the JBL that would not give you headache for a longtime listening. However, the Marshal is so boomy, its bass seems to be more spacious. I believe the JBL Boombox 3 (specially the WIFI one with refined tweeters) is a better all-round indoor and outdoor speaker compared to Woburn 3 (and its Bluetooth version). I wish if you could test the speakers using much better songs out there!

I don't understand why everyone on YT is doing the same. Marshall Woburn is a rock speaker and you play club music on it and so on. This test is idiotic and pointless. If you have a rock speaker, turn it on to rock music, not pop or techno. Comparing Marshall and JBL is pointless because these speakers are made for a completely different genre of music !!!

I dont understand why people test any speaker at 100% volume.. Maybe 80% or 95% .. Pushing it to 100% is for people trying to destroy their speaker but wants to rap-e it first to make it suffer a painful death..

The sound stage on the Marshall is signficantly wider, you can even hear it in the video. It also sounds a bit warmer and less harsh
