I don’t know, I was recently disappointed by the Sonos Move. I’m not really an audiophile, but I do like Hifi and have had tons of speakers over the years. I think your review of this was impacted by it being a Sonos rather than the sound it had. The bass was okay, but the bass response range was the big let down. Also, listening at higher volumes the bass really drops off. The best sounding one across the videos was the Devialet (especially for the EQ I value). I’ve never even heard of this brand before so going to try to hear it in person or do more research as I returned the Sonos move. Honestly, I was really just hoping Apple would add a battery to the Homepod and slightly improve EQ. Instead they removed some speakers and re-released the same thing as the original…😅😂
@@mikequinlan9585we just had a power outage and I remembered I bought one of those jackery portable batteries. It's nice, but it kind of looks like a picnic basket to me. It would look better without the handle. It sounds great on the video though, and it probably sounds much better in person. I wouldn't even consider it for the price however, unless I won the lottery. I want 2 speakers for my patio, so I can pair them in stereo. In Canada, that would cost me $3600 for the oak versions. Great video, I really enjoy watching these comparisons, however I really believe we are missing some great contenders like Bose, Harman Kardon, Sony, etc
The Beosound A5 is a far superior high end loudspeaker. The Mozart software platform is only running at 50% according to B&O with vast amounts of great features to come on software updates!
What more could be done in software for the Mozart platform? After over two years you still can't use these speakers for watching video, RUclips or connected to a television. Other manufacturers in software updates go the latency on wi-fi down to an acceptable level. There are more things to do in software in going multi-channel for placement of each speaker going up to 7.1. Adding WiSA to Mozart would be a whole new world for Emerge, Level, A5, Balance, 2, A9 bringing them to Beolab 28 and 8 connectivity and features.

At least the Marshall has an audio Jack witch in turn allows you to you's the bass and treble equaliser that's built in. How many other speakers have a built in eq.
A 2.2 set up needs wired connections, no wi-fi or Airplay they are 3.5mm analogue or Bluetooth and in four boxes with potentially four power supplies. Very flexible. Take one, two, three or four speakers room to room or on a trip
Here is my verdict on the Sonos: 0 out of 100 - like all the other trash from that brand. How can you even compare it to the b&o or devialet. This is my personal opinion about your channel and the first and only reason I won't book it for sure.
All I care about a sound quality in the US$200 range. JBL and Marshall sound like dogmeat in a half-empty can. I compared several and bought the Soundcore X600 - definitely deserves that 9 for sound.
The move looks horrible and such a lazy design, and where is the handle to move the move.have no other sonos speakers so roam etc is of no use. the extreme 3 is more practical and has more bass than the move so if you love drill ,trap, edm, hip hop go with the extreme 3
The biggest takeaway here is Louie has a huge bias towards the Sonos and Ellie has a bias towards the Marshall. Therefore, it comes down to B&O and Soundcore. It's also convenient that one is the most expensive and the other one is the most affordable.
For my money, it's the Soundcore. Recently, Amazon had it for $50 off, bringing it to $150. At that point, it was a no-brainer for me. I have a JBL Flip 5, which sounds like a toy next to the X600. I listened to the Marshall at the store, and I really didn't think it sounded that great--especially considering the price.
And here I have to be sincere in sound quality terms, not because bassy or who is louder but I’d put all these six in this order Devialet Mania>B&O A5>JBL xtreme 3>Sonos Move>Marshall Middleton>Soundcore x600
Hahaha, another BS comment, who probably had to spent sh@t loads of money on Mania and X600 sounds better than all of them :D Sorry bro, working at a Hi-Fi Store and we compared all of them, none of them are more room filling than X600, unfortunately quality doesn't always costs more money, only usually :)
@@EXu-q2q Sorry mate, every single person who is anything to do with sound business knows that BO is just a design peace so your room look a little more expensive, if you are really into sounds, it doesn't worth your money, sorry to say that! Of course it is a personal opinion of yours and i respect that (if only you really compared all of them and not writing this to psychologically justify your purchase) but it is against thousands of professional opinions, on and offline
If you have enough Bluetooth speakers to collect, how would you evaluate the x600 model? In terms of price performance? How would you rate it out of 10?
Agreed! Compared live to Sonos Move, and Spatial Audio is more room filling, don't really get how it sounds better than X600, maybe because it costs undeservedly almost 120€ more?
@@melihgebler1768 I don't understand why people always say Soundcore motion X600 is overhyped. It really sounds great and priced reasonable with its immersive and hifi audio. For me, I never choose Sonos products, They always overpriced. I am not Sonos hater, but why would I buy it, if I can get the one that gives me great audio quality and save my penny.
Unfortunately, I feel that going into this "comparison" both of these guys had their personal favourites earmarked for victories which probably added a half a point to a full point to each and every category they were compared in. So take those 2 skewed scores away and I feel you at least get an unbiased comparison between the remaining 4 speakers. So on one hand, the comparison is biased right out of the gate in my opinion. However, as I am not a fan of either of these two guys favourites, as I don't like either the aesthetics or branding of either Sonos or Marshall and would not have considered them anyway, I am taking away a completely unbiased opinion on the 4 remaining speakers. Which was helpful. The fact that the Soundcore was even in a comparison with units priced as much as 5 times higher and held its own speaks more to its bang for the buck than anything else. For me, it's the clear winner. Cheers
For me the soundcore and the A5 had the best sound, that bass went through my head with the others. The soundcore just had that clarity so for me that was the one.
Beosound A5 bass clipping -> TURN OFF "Loudness" in the app. Software is super wonky this early in product lifecycle. "Loudness is meant to amplify bass at "low volumes", but the software does it at high volumes right now. Known issue in the beta
And just as you saved up ready to buy they add 25% to the price. Many of the current range have risen by over 50% in the passed 12 months as model move up to be affordable only by the 1%.
Really? I love mine. Did you turn on the spatial audio and bass boost? I didn't find it harsh. The bass was plenty, without being boomy, unless you cranked it to 100%, where it starts breaking up. Hmph. As these guys say, it can all be pretty subjective.
I like your reviews but I really wish you would stop with the constant disclaimers! We are not stupid and know they are only your opinions. Say it at the beginning but you literally say it at every point you give an opinion. Please stop
Weird reviews. It feels like there is definite positive bias for the Sonos and, to a lesser extent, the Beosound, and some bias against the Mania. e.g. The B&O speaker is 200 quid more than the Mania but their features are, I think, roughly equivalent - the B&O can charge your phone but the Mania has a voice assistant - so the B&O should have scored lower than the Mania. Oh, and you forgot to tell us how much the Sonos is, so who knows whether it's good value or not. Personally, it's the one that appeals to me the least so it would want to be the cheapest to get the nod from me. Whilst I thought the JBL had noticeably poorer sound quality than all the other speakers, I think in pretty much every other area it shines as portable speaker. It is the most rugged design, with bumpers to protect the edges, and it's designed to actually float in your pool while playing, with the battery positioned so that the speakers are always facing out of the water. I'm pretty sure it also has more features than any of the others. If you are only going to score sound quality out of 10, then it probably should have won this (and that's coming from someone who had one and got rid of it because he didn't like the sound). But, seriously, you can't think that sound quality isn't the most important thing and is, therefore, worth double or triple the scores for the other features, can you? I think a fairer system would be "sound quality" out of 30, with everything else folded into "value for money", out of 20, for a total score out of 50.
The listening tests should be blind tests to avoid any potential biases. Just the massive price differences will skew your judgment whether you admit it it or not. Worse value for money, muddy sound, and it's not portable like these
Biased and weird reviews, both are garbage
These guys are not good in hearing
Clown review
🤡
Why did Harman Kardon not make it to the table?
The biggest takeaway here is Louie has a huge bias towards the Sonos and Ellie has a bias towards the Marshall. Therefore, it comes down to B&O and Soundcore. It's also convenient that one is the most expensive and the other one is the most affordable.
But what about JBL and DeVialet?
For my money, it's the Soundcore. Recently, Amazon had it for $50 off, bringing it to $150. At that point, it was a no-brainer for me. I have a JBL Flip 5, which sounds like a toy next to the X600. I listened to the Marshall at the store, and I really didn't think it sounded that great--especially considering the price.
And here I have to be sincere in sound quality terms, not because bassy or who is louder but I’d put all these six in this order
Devialet Mania>B&O A5>JBL xtreme 3>Sonos Move>Marshall Middleton>Soundcore x600
Totally agree. I don’t like very much the harshness of the A5 when you pull that volume up
Personally, A5 sounds the best in terms of clarity, sound separation, and even bass
I just purchased the Motion X600 last week to add to my Bluetooth speaker collection and it is a total 5 star.
I just bought one yesterday and it should be coming in anytime soon!😁
If you have enough Bluetooth speakers to collect, how would you evaluate the x600 model? In terms of price performance? How would you rate it out of 10?
I've ordered it and awating my Soundcore motion x600 to arrive. Great speaker prove not always should be expensive.
Cheers
Value for money on B&O is like 2. You can buy Xtreme 3, Middleton, soundcore x600 +more for the price of a $1100 picnic basket.
X600 👍😎
Did you use any of the Eq's? as it changes everything.....
It seems that the administrators of this channel have not understood the importance of comments.
Design review is completely trash 🗑 😪. You have to incorporate price in the equation
For me the soundcore and the A5 had the best sound, that bass went through my head with the others. The soundcore just had that clarity so for me that was the one.
Lol 😂
@@alanrossreviews why do you lough do i even have any of these
agreed👍🏿
@@alanrossreviews What was funny?
Beosound A5 bass clipping -> TURN OFF "Loudness" in the app. Software is super wonky this early in product lifecycle. "Loudness is meant to amplify bass at "low volumes", but the software does it at high volumes right now. Known issue in the beta
I only use B&O products. I still will never go any other way. Yes I agree they are very expensive unfortunately!
And just as you saved up ready to buy they add 25% to the price. Many of the current range have risen by over 50% in the passed 12 months as model move up to be affordable only by the 1%.
The Soundcore X600 is an overhyped, bright, harsh sounding speaker that's all mids and highs. I'm returning mine to Amazon.
Really? I love mine. Did you turn on the spatial audio and bass boost? I didn't find it harsh. The bass was plenty, without being boomy, unless you cranked it to 100%, where it starts breaking up. Hmph. As these guys say, it can all be pretty subjective.
X600 is dbest...
Marshall Middleton has binaural audio I love mine but I’m biased and I crank the bass and treble it sounds amazing
I like your reviews but I really wish you would stop with the constant disclaimers! We are not stupid and know they are only your opinions. Say it at the beginning but you literally say it at every point you give an opinion. Please stop
I love my sonos move. It works so well with all types of music in all scenarios. Such a flexible speaker.
Total bullshit.
They should’ve compared the bigger Marshall speaker. The Middleton does not belong in this category
Exactly 😢
I love my sonos move. It works so well with all types of music in all scenarios. Such a flexible speaker.
Du you use it as a primary system in your home?
I will never buy any electronics with RUBBER finish
it will degrade over time, it will get sticky and look ugly in the next years
Soundscore X600 is best👍
this is disgrace i agree this is unacceptable and not fair on people
For me the Harman Kardon Citation 200 would be a good Contender. I had the Sonos Move and Marshal Middleton the Winner was for me the Citation 200.
sound quality is the most important aspect for all time.. thx
Exactly. It's a speaker 1st, the sound quality is everything #1, then what's the rest.
I think a fairer system would be "sound quality" out of 30, with everything else folded into "value for money", out of 20, for a total score out of 50.
you'd better separate mic and speaker not on the same table, when record.
