I didn’t like it at first, but after awhile I got use to them and kind like them, as far as rain getting in if they’re closed no problem, open any saddle bag gonna get water on the inside opening from the side or top. Yeah Harleys and Indians might have power but who you racing? 😮
Not in a Harley. No water gets in my hard bag from rain or pressure washing. Hard bags opening from the side suck. Even the ones that open from the side on the Harley’s
Great video. This bike has been on my radar for a little while now. I'm always been a metric guy until my current bike. With HD's not holding their value like they used to, it may not be worth paying that Harley tax.
Kawasaki really needs to really needs to revisit this bike and give it a true refresh, it is so outdated and the lack of color options lack of after market and a price point only $6k away from a Streetglide, Roadglide, challenger, or cheiftain leaves this bike DOA
Why does it have to be so ugly? I want shiny paint, and a lot more bright aluminum and chrome. And those black wheels are hideous. The wheels just blend in with the tires. Tires are supposed to be black. Wheels are not.
A 103 CI is adequate but boring. I don’t know what’s going on with the Asian bike manufacturers but all of them have models that are just lingering. Kawasaki has bikes that have gone through several redesigns in the time frame since the Vaquero has been in production and has remained unchanged. I guess they sell enough to keep producing them but not enough to update it.
Why do people even bother getting a touring bike that looks like Harley or Indian but aren’t Harley or Indian? I worked with this guy who always wanted to go to the bar with us after work and I asked him why he wanted to go because he didn’t drink. He said he could drink an o’douls (non alcoholic beer). What’s the fucking point? And that’s how I feel about this bike.
Maybe not everyone can afford a new Harley or Indian or even a Honda Goldwing....I know a couple co workers that do not drink (for different reasons) but like to hang out when we go to the bar to have fun. Who cares if they do as long were having fun
@@richardcooper7047 I think H-D USED to make great bikes. I have a 1989 FXRS Low Rider and a 2002 Sportster 1200C. I also have a 1998 Honda Goldwing, and a 1980 Yamaha XS1100 Special. You couldn't give me a new bike of any brand. I hate computers with wheels and flat black.
@@geraldscott4302 yes I’m aware. And a cruiser is one thing. There are some really good metric cruisers. Not a single metric touring bike (that mimics the style of Harley and Indian) make sense to buy when you could spend just a few more thousand and get a much much better, well equipped and capable touring bike. I.e. Indian and Harley
I'm a big fan of Harley and Indian bikes. That said, this is a nice ride. I like the vaquero. You get a lot and it doesn't break the bank.
With the money saved you can upgrade
My biggest issue with this bike is the hard bags that open from the side. That is literally useless. Other then that it’s not a bad bike.
RIGHT it's less than useless!!!! in the rain everything gets wet.... Only solution is to buy the bags on the touring model and swap them.
Exactly. They change the bags to those it’s a winner.

I don't remember ever seeing one in a dealership but I've lived fairly remotely the past 20 years.

I like. These sell for very inexpensive prices on the used market.

Hey genius, they make different colors 🤷♂️
I got the 2009 Kawasaki Voyager and the seat is a little high, but other than that it’s a great riding machine

I agree, it would be nice to get something newer.
Not a looker.

Are you unaware that all 4 Japanese brands have made cruisers for decades, starting in the '70s?
I have friends that don't like HD that's why.

If second class is ok with you
Harley not any wiser
