Keep the Thunderstroke 116 air cooled for sure. It is as iconic and reliable as HDs Evolution engine of the 80s & 90s except it pumps horse power and torque. I love my Chief Darkhorse 116.
The liquid cooled engines are not for everyone. They may make more power but they don't look or sound as good. Indian would be smart to keep the Thunderstroke in the lineup for as long as possible, possibly forever. If they stop making air cooled before HD does, it would be very bad for the company.
I have a 2023 scout rogue with a k&N performance air filter and freedom performance exhaust and it should great. The dude I work with has a 2024 street bob with Vance and heins and he said my bike sounds better than his. I agree. But sounds are just like everything else some people like different ones than others.
Every bike in the Indian should be liquid cooled! Indians best sellers are the Scout & Challenger, both liquid cooled. Scout & Challenger sound great with a aftermarket exhaust and make great power. If they want to keep a slow & hot air cooled they can just keep it a classic model and they'll sell very few of them.
I test several Indians last Friday in Peoria, AZ and one of the things I mentioned to the Indian guy there was that I'd love to have the Super Chief but with the PowerPlus engine. He just had a little smile but no answer. That makes me think that perhaps that wonderful engine WILL be put in some of their other bikes (hopefully the Chief lineup).
I ride a Victory , a new Indian would be nice , but the new 2025 Buell Super Cruiser , with 175 hp , goes 183 mph , gets 53 mpg , weighs under 500 lbs , that’s top of of the Line, and out of an 1190cc motor , Oh Ya !
How you know it ? Local dealership told me the same in general....That soon or later all will have water cooled engines because of the emissions. But no mentioned year.
One thing I wish Indian would do is make sure their bikes start without an issue in cold weather. My coworker has a street Bob and that Harley starts everytime during the winter. I live in Philly so it gets cold. My neighbor has a Yamaha mt09 and that starts everyday of the year. It's only October 15th and 42 degrees outside and my 2023 Indian scout rogue won't turn over. I keep it in a shed far away from any outlet cause I live in an apartment so that's my only option. I love Indian but I'm thinking of trading it in for a MT10 cause this will be my second winter and I ride all year long.
Yeah I personally know 2 people who started on a scout and sold it right away cause it was too much power for them to start on. I started on a Honda monkey rode it for a year and bought a 2023 scout rogue although I went from 9 horsepower to 100 it was a very easy transition as soon as I got the basics down but it was like going from a horse to a rocket. Lol
The 2025 scout models literally have 3.4 gallons of gas compared to the earlier models of 3.3 so I agree with you. That's not that big of a change at all like you can barely say it's a bigger tank. Lol
The whole horse power and torque war between Harley and Indian is likely to soon come to an end. I recently purchased a 24 Harley Street Glide 117 and there is absolutely no need for any more power. Most roads you can't even use that much power. Definitely makes it a challenge to control the throttle so you aren't getting speeding tickets everywhere you go 😂
Why in the world would they consider getting rid of the fixed fairing? Spent some time talking with a HD buddy of mine (works for, not just rides) and the Road Glide (fixed fairing) is becoming the more popular model out of the baggers and can even be purchased as a Touring (full bags/trunk). Getting rid of that would just push someone who is looking to get a new bike but with fixed away from Indian and back towards HD. I love my Softail to death, but with the wife and I getting ready to start spending more time on the road vs at home, we're going to pick up a touring soon, and I've already decided it'll be Fixed. If Indian drops the fixed (and no previous models are available/or I can't find any used I like), that'll just send me to HD or Honda (Goldwing).
Loved my Victory XCT, but traded it in because it has become extremely difficult to find a shop that will work on them. And certain parts are becoming scarce.
Adding a new 112 inch liquid cooled 130 hp 140 lb ft. motor to a Chieftain Darkhorse would be sweet. I like that bikes looks just as much as the Challenger, but that anemic 116 is a deal breaker for me.

I love my Chief Darkhorse 116.
And it's the best looking engine in my opinion. Has a great exhaust note.
Exciting times for Indian Riders!

We really don’t need bigger engines. Better handling and suspension would be nice.
They should bring a new Challenger with the new 122 thunderstroke engine.

I went to a demo ride day and the guy said liquid cooled all across the line, not sure what thay means for thunderstroke
@@brocklndrs Wow! Hopefully some, at least.
I would love to have a scout with the powerplus engine in it. That would be a killer

G’day! Love it! Thanks for all the great content! …fingers crossed they decide to add to the FTR line sometime soon 🤞🏾🙏🏾
@cheekydevil3241 Thank you! That would be nice, but not sure how high of a priority the FTR line is in reality
@@RidgeRoamer yea, that’s a good point! Just wishful thinking mate 😉
122ci will be last thunderstroke , 2026 everything power plus , new "sports glide" type model with 122ci going to be sick
@johnnyblixx Hopefully Thunderstroke line continues, but we'll see. I'm assuming an ST type competitor too

Im reserved at number 1 at my local dealership for the next Roadmaster Elite. Cant wait to see what happens, if anything.

A smaller capacity "CC" to get the younger generation into Motorcycling 👍
It’s called the scout 60
I don't see how anyone would struggle with the 1250 scout. The 60 is just there to be cheap

Both of Indian and Harley need much cheaper bikes that equals smaller bikes like a 350-500 cc. Bigger engines dont equal bigger balls.
I would love to see the Scout or Chief with bigger gas tanks for 2025. And Something comparable to the HD Low Rider ST.
@@JoJoCruisinOn2s I think the Colt may be Indians ST competitor

@markkoha3661 No, haven't heard any new rumors on FTR for 2025
I purchased the Challenger because HD didn’t offer a true liquid cooled cruiser.

Vulcan 900 for me..
