I got it on sale around the holidays and started playing a bit after Christmas and have been hooked since. 160+ hrs in. I know I'm late to the game, but it's good to see others late as well.
Bought this game a couple weeks ago and 70 hours in lol and just defeated the 2nd boss, this game is awesome and best game to play going into the winter 💯

I recently started runs with the Reduvia. That one is silly broken in PvE, as you can get it literally in the first few minutes. Then you ride to Iji, buy the four somber smithing stones, that will give you hell of an early game advantage.
I've been enjoying the gargoyles blackblade recently. Don't think it's op or anything just works well when I use it. Godslayer great sword would be a good honorable mention. It's weapon skill is really satisfying. The naginata is a terrifyingly effective weapon. I find myself constantly coming back to it. It really is old reliable and very beautiful to use as well. Ordovis' greatsword also has a special place in my heart for being the only normal looking golden greatsword. Not to mention a simple but effective weapon skill that always slaps. Wing of astel is such a dope caster weapon. I had so much fun throwing a bunch of blue spells at my enemies just to finish them off with blue magic slices when they got close. So many fun weapons in this game half my time spent playing is just deciding what weapon to use next.

With a Strength/Faith build the Blasphemous Blade is OP AF! Bolt of Gransax sniper mode is like nothing else in the game... Speaking of Strength/Faith, the Godslayer Greatsword is fantastic, the ash of war and it's follow up is devastation if you can land all of them.
Godslayer's GS is more dex/faith than strength/fait. Its strength scaling is pretty bad, especially for a colossal sword. But yeah it's an amazing weapon, and I had a lot of fun playing as a Godskin, using only their gear and spells, as well as, well, the sword. Pretty strong build, actually.

i can’t tell you how much this video helped, im on elden beast but i felt burnt out so i haven’t played much lately but now i want to try some of these out
Fallingstar Beast Jaw was not only one of my most satisfying boss fights after it kicked my ass so many times, but made it all the more satisfying to beat the last 50 hours or so the game with it as my main weapon being a trophy of that fight. The gravity lightning art was brutal to distribute
So many fun weapons to use in this game but some of my favorites would have to be Godslayer GS, dual magma blades, magma wyrm scalesword, death ritual spear and godskin peeler
That’s why I made the rule at the start of the video I could easily put that at number 2 but I think for a seppuku build the curved sword is a better choice, remember the rule I made cause the god skin peeler on its own is good but it shines when you add bleed which is why I tried to make the list fair but not adding bleed to every weapon, hope that clears the confusions I agree tho it is a very good weapon

This is a pretty good list. Also I'd recommend talking closer to a normal volume, you're practically yelling and its clipping your mic. The Blasphemous Blade reminds me of the comic book version of All-Black the Necrosword. I still haven't beaten the game yet since I kept not knowing what I want to be for a build, and my first playthrough I'm trying to find and explore as much as I can instead of just running through and only doing what I need.
I use the curved swords since the power stance jumping attack hits 4 times so it procs bleed every single time, they’re both very good options tho but personally I prefer the curved swords
You can use two bleed weapons since you’ll proc bleed on a single jump attack that you can also boost with the black raptors feathers and the claw talisman or you can use on bleed one frost but definitely have the one in your right hand have seppuku
My number 1 weapons is the falling star beast jaw. Did 5 play through sand it’s always my go to. Very fast and strong weapon art. Good poise and easily opens enemies up to criticals
The Magma Blade is slept on prob b/c it's so hard to get, but it's such a good weapon, especially if you're insane like me and farm 2 for the power stance.
Give bolt of granssax some respect. Bolt of granssac & mimic tear is a literal boss killer. Those who are struggling with malenia, maliketh & placidussax o would highly suggest to try this combo out.

Ok ok ok hear me out, heavy star fist with cragblade flame grant me strength and golden vow. You can put in as many points in vigor as you want but 60 is recommended then put the rest into strength, 20-30 endurance is recommended so you can wear heavy armor.
One thing i dont see a single youtube notice or mention is that the darkmoon grratsword is the staggering queen of every weapon in this game. A colossal using lions claw or stamp upwards deals 45 stagger damage, meanwhile a charged R2 that actually landed the sword deals fucking 68. (32 from the charged attack plus 35 from the charged projectile) i can stagger giants with one charged attack, and most bosses with two. Its insane how much stance damage this weapon does if used properly, too bad everyone only uses the projectile from range and never realize that
For me godskin stitcher is one of my favourite weapons in this game, just love heavy thrusting swords and being able to put flame strike or glint stone pebble feels great on it for pvp
I joined the game on 24th of December, and ever since then YT recommended me your channel, which I learned a lot of hidden weapons, gear and sometimes boss locations
I keep going back and forth between Blasphemous Blade and Blood Fang. The Blood Fang just does so much damage with blood flame or holy buff, I go to it. But the special L2 move on Blasphemous just annihilates. Good video. I’m about half way through game..
Dude I love summoning my mimic to distract bosses then using Mohg’s spear to absolutely shred through health bars. It’s such an underrated and busted weapon. I’ve beat like quite a lot of bosses with it. Even Mohg himself lol. And yes, he is weak to bleed. Ironic.
Go to 3:05 in the video and that about sums it up for you no need to respec if you like strength just find a weapon you like and go in the route focus on having fun, however if you just wanna be op focus on dex and arcane and use bleed weapons

My opinion would definitely be (i have not 100% the game) 5. Scavengers Curved Sword (Running Seppuku) 4. Moonveil 3. Rivers of Blood 2. Mohg's sacred spear 1. Blasphemous blade
Mohgwyn Sacred Spear is one of the best but during the special effect you are completely exposed to the attack. It's good to use different types of weapons on different enemies, I've recently liked the Starscourge Greatsword has a comparable high damage to the Sacred Spear but the difference is Special attack is divided into two phase in the first phase, the opponent is pulled and distracted, so the player is better protected against further damage during Special attack. I would also give the Dark Moon Graetsword a little higher ranking because it is a very good weapon against a strong opponent because after 3 successful attacks it will stun the enemy even the biggest bosses. Otherwise a very good list and good work
I used an arcane build to rush the platinum trophy and yeah mimic tear + Mohg’s sacred spear stunlock one shots almost everything in the game. The only exception are bleed immune, fire resistant bosses (Mohg’s illusion). With the faith for rot breath the game turns into a great enemy felled simulator
At what level did you start new game plus? I didn’t touch the game since my first playthrough and I ended up at 180. I also want to rush the platinum, only trophies missing are the endings and like one item.

I mean it’s an ok weapon if you take the time to explore at the point in the game you’re at you can get most of the weapons on this list and then just get some upgrades on it and you’re cooking, but for where you’re at at the same time that weapon with blood flame blade is good a good choice

I can confirm Rivers of Blood is still OP. Me and my mimmic tear beat Melania’s 2nd form in no joke less than 5 seconds and level 130. About to start a Journey 2 with a harder build I think.
Hard to argue with any of these, especially #1, but I’d say the bolt of gransax and black blade are definitely top 10 contenders. Also, the guardian swordspear is just a fantastic weapon all-around, with some of the best dex scaling in the game. Oh, and I get why, based on your criteria, but it almost seems silly leaving the nagikiba off the list
Came back to this game after awhile and what happened to the bloodhounds fang, I came back and beat the final boss/bosses with it in 2023 after giving up on the final boss a while ago because was tired of the game after beating meliana.

Brotha I watched no one else’s video and got not inspiration this is my own video and my own list if you’ve seen similar lists to this one that’s probably because these are the best weapons in the game and people who have played the game for a long time and tested all the weapons in the game know what the best options are
I imagine you already found some good weapons after getting to Altus? If not you can get eleonaras pole blade, the blasphemous blade (have to go to a kind of far out area and beat a huge boss so idk)
Out of all of these, which would work best against Malenia? She’s the only demigod I have left to kill before I take on Radagon, finishing my second playthrough. For my last couple attempts, I’ve been using the godskin peeler and every black flame incantation I have but it’s still not enough. Any recommendations would help, thank you.
I’m honestly shocked the cross naginata didn’t make this list. I know you don’t want to fill the list with bleed weapons but the reach, quick move set and versatility to run this 1-handed, 2-handed or power stanced puts it in my personal top 3. I would put Mohg’s spear 4th mainly because while the ash of War is broken the great spear move set is kind of average. My top 5 would be 5) Blasphemous Blade 4) Mohgs great spear 3) Cross Naginata 2) Bandits Curved sword 1) Rivers of Blood Katana or Moonveil (really the only difference is whether you’re cheesing bosses with blood loss or magic 😂) Katanas are simply the best single weapon class in the game still, with curved swords right behind. Loved the video though, great list.
I will add that I understand why you aren’t including more blood-infusible weapons as it does make the list a bit more basic, but if we’re being strictly objective then weapons like the naginata or god-skin peeler definitely would deserve a spot.
huh, i was honestly kinda shocked that the blood katana was still considered top 3. I might be one of the few people that remember how powerful the blood katana was. At its height, the blood katana was the ONLY weapon to use for late game. I remember beating Malenia 5 separate times with this sword and a mimic tear. But afterwards, the game felt way too easy, that i basically just dropped the game until recently. While the katana is still powerful, most main bosses have some form of blood resistance to it. Blood is still powerful and i still keep it in my main weapons slots, but i’ll definitely start using other weapons that simply surpasses the blood katana lmao

I love the Sword of Night and Flame. Cheesed many bosses with that fire swing attack. Also love Gihza's wheel for its circlesaw blood attack.

My number 1 weapons is the falling star beast jaw. Did 5 play through sand it’s always my go to. Very fast and strong weapon art. Good poise and easily opens enemies up to criticals

The Magma Blade is slept on prob b/c it's so hard to get, but it's such a good weapon, especially if you're insane like me and farm 2 for the power stance.
Give bolt of granssax some respect. Bolt of granssac & mimic tear is a literal boss killer. Those who are struggling with malenia, maliketh & placidussax o would highly suggest to try this combo out.

Ok ok ok hear me out, heavy star fist with cragblade flame grant me strength and golden vow. You can put in as many points in vigor as you want but 60 is recommended then put the rest into strength, 20-30 endurance is recommended so you can wear heavy armor.
One thing i dont see a single youtube notice or mention is that the darkmoon grratsword is the staggering queen of every weapon in this game. A colossal using lions claw or stamp upwards deals 45 stagger damage, meanwhile a charged R2 that actually landed the sword deals fucking 68. (32 from the charged attack plus 35 from the charged projectile) i can stagger giants with one charged attack, and most bosses with two. Its insane how much stance damage this weapon does if used properly, too bad everyone only uses the projectile from range and never realize that

For me godskin stitcher is one of my favourite weapons in this game, just love heavy thrusting swords and being able to put flame strike or glint stone pebble feels great on it for pvp

Honestly I'd wager that straight swords have just as good if not a better moveset than curved swords if used intelligently.

I keep going back and forth between Blasphemous Blade and Blood Fang. The Blood Fang just does so much damage with blood flame or holy buff, I go to it. But the special L2 move on Blasphemous just annihilates. Good video. I’m about half way through game..

Dude I love summoning my mimic to distract bosses then using Mohg’s spear to absolutely shred through health bars. It’s such an underrated and busted weapon. I’ve beat like quite a lot of bosses with it. Even Mohg himself lol. And yes, he is weak to bleed. Ironic.
Guys sup? I’m seeing a lot of the fun weapons primarily in Dex and Int. I’m a Str Faith build mid game. Is it worth it or should I respec? 🤔
Go to 3:05 in the video and that about sums it up for you no need to respec if you like strength just find a weapon you like and go in the route focus on having fun, however if you just wanna be op focus on dex and arcane and use bleed weapons
Try magma wyrm scalesword for str faith.. slaps

Mohgwyn Sacred Spear is one of the best but during the special effect you are completely exposed to the attack. It's good to use different types of weapons on different enemies, I've recently liked the Starscourge Greatsword has a comparable high damage to the Sacred Spear but the difference is Special attack is divided into two phase in the first phase, the opponent is pulled and distracted, so the player is better protected against further damage during Special attack. I would also give the Dark Moon Graetsword a little higher ranking because it is a very good weapon against a strong opponent because after 3 successful attacks it will stun the enemy even the biggest bosses. Otherwise a very good list and good work

I used an arcane build to rush the platinum trophy and yeah mimic tear + Mohg’s sacred spear stunlock one shots almost everything in the game. The only exception are bleed immune, fire resistant bosses (Mohg’s illusion). With the faith for rot breath the game turns into a great enemy felled simulator
At what level did you start new game plus? I didn’t touch the game since my first playthrough and I ended up at 180. I also want to rush the platinum, only trophies missing are the endings and like one item.
What armor is that I’ve never seen it before

hey im on my first playthrough currently on the fire giant and im using a bloodhounds fang +9 with bloodflame blade do you think i made a good choice commiting to it?
I mean it’s an ok weapon if you take the time to explore at the point in the game you’re at you can get most of the weapons on this list and then just get some upgrades on it and you’re cooking, but for where you’re at at the same time that weapon with blood flame blade is good a good choice

I can confirm Rivers of Blood is still OP. Me and my mimmic tear beat Melania’s 2nd form in no joke less than 5 seconds and level 130. About to start a Journey 2 with a harder build I think.

Oh lord yes. I quit using seppuku cause it was just too much with the jumping L1 in powerstance where you can hit 6-8 times in one attack.

Hard to argue with any of these, especially #1, but I’d say the bolt of gransax and black blade are definitely top 10 contenders. Also, the guardian swordspear is just a fantastic weapon all-around, with some of the best dex scaling in the game. Oh, and I get why, based on your criteria, but it almost seems silly leaving the nagikiba off the list

Came back to this game after awhile and what happened to the bloodhounds fang, I came back and beat the final boss/bosses with it in 2023 after giving up on the final boss a while ago because was tired of the game after beating meliana.

Brotha I watched no one else’s video and got not inspiration this is my own video and my own list if you’ve seen similar lists to this one that’s probably because these are the best weapons in the game and people who have played the game for a long time and tested all the weapons in the game know what the best options are

I imagine you already found some good weapons after getting to Altus? If not you can get eleonaras pole blade, the blasphemous blade (have to go to a kind of far out area and beat a huge boss so idk)
Out of all of these, which would work best against Malenia? She’s the only demigod I have left to kill before I take on Radagon, finishing my second playthrough. For my last couple attempts, I’ve been using the godskin peeler and every black flame incantation I have but it’s still not enough. Any recommendations would help, thank you.
I’m honestly shocked the cross naginata didn’t make this list. I know you don’t want to fill the list with bleed weapons but the reach, quick move set and versatility to run this 1-handed, 2-handed or power stanced puts it in my personal top 3. I would put Mohg’s spear 4th mainly because while the ash of War is broken the great spear move set is kind of average. My top 5 would be
5) Blasphemous Blade
4) Mohgs great spear
3) Cross Naginata
2) Bandits Curved sword
1) Rivers of Blood Katana or Moonveil (really the only difference is whether you’re cheesing bosses with blood loss or magic 😂)
Katanas are simply the best single weapon class in the game still, with curved swords right behind. Loved the video though, great list.
I will add that I understand why you aren’t including more blood-infusible weapons as it does make the list a bit more basic, but if we’re being strictly objective then weapons like the naginata or god-skin peeler definitely would deserve a spot.

huh, i was honestly kinda shocked that the blood katana was still considered top 3. I might be one of the few people that remember how powerful the blood katana was. At its height, the blood katana was the ONLY weapon to use for late game. I remember beating Malenia 5 separate times with this sword and a mimic tear. But afterwards, the game felt way too easy, that i basically just dropped the game until recently. While the katana is still powerful, most main bosses have some form of blood resistance to it. Blood is still powerful and i still keep it in my main weapons slots, but i’ll definitely start using other weapons that simply surpasses the blood katana lmao
